We had a large colony of bees living under our roof and called The Bees Knees to take care of it. They came out to the house, were professional from start to finish, and worked quickly. They removed the entire hive, then patched the roof so the bees wouldn't have a way back in. That second part mattered to us. We didn't want to fix one problem and end up with a roof repair to handle on our own. Best of all, they relocated the bees instead of exterminating them. With a baby in the house we wanted the bees gone, but we were glad none of them had to be destroyed to make that happen. If you've got bees where you don't want them, I'd recommend calling them first. read more

We have had the Bees Knees out a second time after they reappeared in a different location of our property and this visit it turned out was free as it was within their warranty period. The technician was thorough and able to drive the bees off of the west side of our property and off the property once and for all. The bees have not been back since and are off the property completely. Thank you Arin! read more

Arin was responsive, able to share a straight forward quote without all the back and forth, and was able to promptly schedule our service for a wasp nest removal. He called ahead to let us know he was 30 mins away and was able to inspect our property for other signs of nests. He made the process really easy and we will definitely be contacting him again for future wasp services. Thanks! read more

Such an incredible informative experience!! This was super cool to witness I was looking at some different bee removal services and I stumbled upon this gem. What made me end up working with him was the fast response and good communication. The price was very good too. He taught me so many things about bees it was very fun. In this very very old box in my dad's backyard was a pretty big bee hive. Arin handled it like a pro! He was very careful but knew exactly how to get the queen. He even gave us a part of the comb and told me how to use a cheesecloth and everything to filter it so that was awesome of him. Arin is unBEElievable read more

Hi, I had posted before, but just in case, Arin, the business owner, is awesome! He went above and beyond for our bee issue. We had a four feet tall hive (which could be 20k or more bees!) and we wanted them moved, not exterminated. His quote was reasonable and he did all the work himself! He was very calm, knew alot about bees, which not all services do, and did a temperature reading inside and outside. He was clear on what was needed and did the service well and quickly, even with it being a hot day. He did a great job on making the hole needed, repairing it and getting the bees/hive out. Again, not all services do this. I so appreciate all the work he did and was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend! Thanks! read more

Arin is quite amazing! He's also a nice guy and so knowledgeable about bees and beehives. We were having bee issues and in a couple of seconds he discovered what was going on. Every morning I went outside and on the back wall around our light were bees on the wall. An hour later, they were dead on the ground. This happened every 3 days (SEE PHOTOS). My Pest guy came out & saw no hive in the light & suggested to call a Bee Keeper. When Arin came out, he quickly looked around and saw bees in the far distance in a retaining wall on the other side of my next door neighbor's property. We went to visit my neighbor & he was aware of the bees but said it didn't bother him. Arin said at night they are attracted to light, so they were coming around my light, swarming it & because they got stressed out, they hung on the wall until they died and fell off. It made so much sense, but I would have never known, if not for Arin. If you want someone who has valuable wisdom & knows their stuff, and just a good person, this is the guy to hire! He will come out to investigate without a charge. Then he charges, if you hire him to do any work, if it's needed. I would use him any time in the future. Much gratitude Arin. read more

Arin, thank you for the amazing service! I reached out to a few places for quotes on bee removal, but the moment I spoke with you, it just felt right. Your calm demeanor, kindness, and professionalism instantly put me at ease--and we were able to get an appointment right away. Even though this was an unexpected expense, it honestly feels like money well spent. You handled everything efficiently and with such care. P.S. No bees were harmed in the making of this removal--though I think a few posed for a group photo on their way out. read more

Arin was amazing on a hot day 90s in Sherman Oaks. Thank you for coming around noon and completing the task by 2pm, in this heat. You did a great job, climbing up my avocado tree, amongst the angry yellojwackets my gardener and tree cutters encountered this weekend, getting stings more than twice! Not only did you get rid of them but sealed the area so hopefully they don't return during the month guarantee. Great job and price, great service. read more

We have a swarm of bees on one of our tree branch in the community for past two days. I'm part of the HOA board and been looking for bee remover that doesn't kill bees. Came across Bee Knees and called early in the morning. Spoke to Arin and answered all my questions. Provided info to him and he was able to provide an estimate. His price is so much better than what I had seen. He was able to come out same day. He arrived in the time he said he would. So glad he wasn't a no show. That makes me feel he's good with his words. He came from about 30 miles away. When he arrived and we were showing him where it was. The huge swarm of bees weren't there anymore! We felt so bad to have him come out that far and end up with no bees to remove. We showed him pictures of the swarm of bees that was actually there. He didn't get upset or show any signs or expression of annoyance. I asked him if we can pay him for coming out. And I can't believe he said it's ok especially driving that far and probably going to end up in traffic at this time going back. Arin had a really calm energy that would probably be a bee whisperer energy would have. Well now Arin's going to be our HOA main guy to go to if we have anything to do with bees that needs to be removed. So glad we found Arin. read more

Amazing! Told me exactly what the issue was and didn't charge me. If I ever have a bee problem in the future, I know who to call!

Great experience with The Bees Knees. Quick response, quote, and service. Installing a wall AC in my uncle's home we realized we'd have to remove a very established bee colony in the exterior wall. The house is over 80yr old with very delicate, aged redwood siding that cannot be replaced. Arin was quick and careful not to damage anything. From my request for a quote to removing the hive (without killing bees) was only about 3 hrs. Importantly Arin guarantees and stands by his service. And not just talk! We uncovered additional bees a few weeks later and when i called Arin explained he was out of town. Much to my relief and surprise he sent another bee service out right away at no charge and even extended the guarantee. read more

I got a citation from the city that I have a bee hive on the oak tree. I saw the great review for bees knees and called at 9:00am and spoke with Arin. He said that he would be able to come on the same day to give an estimate and that he will get be able to come before 12noon and he will touch base with me when he could come. He called back in the next hour and he was on his way. After given the estimate he was able to start and get the bee hive taken care of at the time. I would highly recommend this company. Arin is very knowledgeable about the bees and how to handle the beehive and thoroughly explained what he was doing prior to starting the work. Very prompt and professional. Arin came out to deal with bees that had found their way into our wall. We weren't sure how acute the problem was, but it turns out there was a whole hive's worth of bees in there! He carefully removed them and will be giving them a home on his property, where he a beekeeper. This was important to us, as these little pollinators are threatened in so many ways. I hope they can thrive in their new home! Arin had the skills to act as a handyman, opening up the siding and repairing it when he was finished. He was very nice all throughout, he was able to help us right away, and our problem was quickly solved. We can now host a party on the 4th without any attacks of killer bees--always a plus. This company is awesome! We had a hive in our wall. We didn't know how large it was, but we wanted them to be moved, not exterminated. When contacting Arin, he was clear, professional and showed for the consult, he was a freat communicator, coordinating a time. At the consult, he was great. He did temperature readings in and the house, so we could see. His quote was great and his service amazing. I so appreciate how well he did this, as it was a large hive, being 4 feet tall! It was also a hot day and there were alot of bees, and he did a fabulous job of sealing up the 10 x 12 hole that was needed to get to the hive in the wall. He was very conscientious and was helpful in letting us know what needed to happen. I was also impressed by his very calm vibe. He did everything with making the hole, getting them out, getting the inner wall stuff in it and sealing it. It was epic, tbh! read more

First of all, how can you go wrong with a name like The Bees Knees. I was stressed about Arin not being able to remove a hive the same day I called but he was so calm and knowledgable about the activity I described I took the chance and waited the 2 days for him to come check it out. He was exactly right. He came back the next day and removed a roughly 4-5 month old hive. He sanitized, filled and repaired the part of the roof he had to cut through to get to the hive, looks great. But he also patched up the holes (that our solar guys made and failed to patch up) where the bees were entering the eaves. Honestly, the fact that he did that for us just solidified my respect for him and how he conducts business, he cares to do a good and thorough job. I hope I never have to deal with a hive removal again, but if I do, I will be calling Arin. This guy also has a resting heart rate of like, 10... he's so calm. My husband and I were just gasping at everything and we look over at him and he's just standing there like... "yep". He's great! Everything I believe you need for an eco-responsible bee removal. read more
