Had an estimate done on the house and the inspector was very professional and thorough. Really appreciated the time he took to give us the estimate which cost $95. What was a surprise was the cost? It's going to take to deal with the issue that we have in our home. I was a little taken aback by the price, but maybe that's the going rate for what we need done. We definitely get several more estimates just to compare. WE HAVE BEEN INVADED...! They say there is no need to panic, but when you walk into your bathroom and see the counter moving, it's not time to check your medication, it's time to get an exterminator. Yes, sad to say I have ants.... well I did. We have been battling a very small critter called the Argentine Ant which for some reason decided to migrate from South America and now resides I guess primarily in the walls and attic of my residence. We had grown pretty tired of the constant work to control the little menace so I consulted Yelp and found CVA Exterminators. It was on Sunday evening when I sent a request to CVA and got a reply back very soon after with a time for Danny to come over and look at the issue. Danny was prompt on his arrival, wearing a mask and gloves and looked it over. He offered some options and went to work on holding back what we call the "scourge" in our household. Using some gel substance inside and then spraying outside I was told by Danny that it would take a couple of days probably for us to see a difference. The Argentine Ant was attracted to the gel-like substance like a hungry man is attracted to two-for-one tacos on Taco Tuesday. I noticed that after consuming their fill they started getting woozy and later were just not moving (like I do after too many tacos). I cleared them away, they came back for seconds, but within a couple of days (as promised), we stopped seeing them. I just bought a home in Saugus and I am new to the area. The 2nd week of being in my home I ran into an ant problem. I found CVA on yelp. Mr. Dan came out and did a thorough job treating the ant problem and spot treated the spiders. I got the quarterly membership which was the best deal I found in the area. He was very knowledgeable and said if I noticed spiders 2-3 weeks later to give them a call and they would come back and treat for them since ants and spiders can't be fully treated at the same time. Mr. Walt came today for my 2nd visit so we could tackle the spiders. He was very kind, knowledgeable and thorough too. I had him only do the outside since I couldn't leave the house and had to keep my small dog inside while outside dried. He too said give it about 30 days and if I notice any spiders inside they can come back and treat that. I HIGHLY recommend them and always love to support small businesses! read more

Dan explained everything that should be done. we had an ant problem in the house. they were coming in from the walls and electric receptacles. after applying some bait gel inside and spraying all around the house, have so far have had no ants appear anywhere. I contacted CVA for a possible termite problem, which was very concerning for my wife and I. Nate showed up at our house right on time, and began his inspection of the complete exterior as well as a quick look in the garage at some small accumulations of droppings. I followed Nate, during the inspection, just to learn about his findings. He identified several areas that apparently were not termite droppings, but ant and cricket droppings. He examined all of the wood in these areas and to my surprise there was no wood damage from termites. He did not charge any money. I was originally referred to CVA Exterminators by my brother in law, who is a local real estate broker/realtor because he knows a lot of businesses regarding home ownership. I get many referrals from him because he has been in the business for over 20 years so he has been exposed to many different options in the area. I'm glad he referred us to this one. He specifically mentioned Dan Caballero. So I requested Dan, and he came by to do an assessment. It seemed like we had a small termite problem. Luckily it was isolated to a small wall on the house. We picked Dan's brain about how termites live, eat, spread. We also asked for his advice about how we should proceed with a treatment, as he gave us several options, prices varying quite a bit. Dan is knowledgeable about his business and was very honest with us. I feel like he advised us as if we were his family and I am extremely grateful for that. He was patient and took as much time as we needed to sit and answer all of our questions. The treatment worked perfectly. And it was because of Dan's honesty and patience that we decided to sign up for quarterly treatments on the house because we had noticed several black widows over the years at certain spots around the outside of the house. A service tech comes out every 3 months and does treatments outside, or inside if we request it, and we have not seen another spider, or any critter or insect for that matter, since. Even just getting the outdoor treatments, we haven't seen any insects inside the house either. And since we have 3 little children who play everywhere, including the backyard, that is quite a relief. I am so happy with their service, I referred them to my brother who lives in Chatsworth, but I'm not sure they service that area. read more
