The experience was not positive overall. When I agreed to have them take care of my rodent control issues, I thought they were going to be attentive and helpful, they were not. The sales associate who first visited was professional, communicative and knowledgeable. But, once we signed the contract and paid for the abatement, it became very difficult to make appointments, speak to the team and get information. The removal of our rodents and insulation was completed quickly, however getting the monthly inspections was challenging and frustrating. Each visit required multiple phone calls and was not a very pleasant process. The call center was not responsive, no one returned calls or was ever available for the scheduling of appointments. Each step required multiple calls and frustrating weeks of delays. I definitely felt like I got the run around. The difficulty with scheduling made us feel like it was entirely our responsibility to follow up and make sure the inspection was done. It was not easy or fluid. In the end we feel we overpaid for mediocre quality and did not have them back to install the new insulation. No one has ever taken the time to communicate with us again to check on the job, get a verbal review of our work satisfaction or inquire about future inspections. We would never use their services again. It's simply too expensive and labor intensive. Wow!!!!! This company is absolutely amazing and super professional!!! I had a rodent issue in my home because my next-door neighbors were dealing with an infestation and they started making their way into my place also. I went with Rodent Masters after getting a few quotes for rodent abatement in my attic. I had been hearing noises from the attic for a while. Their foreman/inspector came by, took a look, and confirmed there were signs of rats and/or mice coming and going. On the day of the service, their crew showed up around 8am and got busy vacuuming out all the old broken-down cellulose insulation which the rodents had been using as nesting areas. After vacuuming thoroughly and sanitizing the attic using a chemical treatment, they went all over the attic and the crawlspace, locating entry points and sealing them off. Here's my experience: Called for an estimate, guys showed up and did a good job explaining. The bids came in high, my opinion of course, and I agreed to get +/- $2K of work performed. Work took about 7 hours to complete. Later that night I heard rodent activity, I emailed my rep and did not get a reply. Several days later I got a reply. I thought I was booked but then a no call / no show. I called and left a message, still no reply. Feedback: Turn around on bids is quick, work was quick. I do not understand why I had such a bad experience with this company. They seem to have a great rating on Yelp, but my experience is a 1 out of 5. It seems that they could care less about assisting with animal removal. An appointment was scheduled, with specific instructions that were not followed. When I followed up the same day & the next, I never got confirmation whether their services were complete. We hear pest(s) in our attic, so we decided to reach out to get an estimate. We are located in La Puente. Scheduled for a free estimate on Saturday and they called back the same day, saying that they are not available that day, as they were "booked up." Fine, we set up for an appointment on Monday from 12PM to 2PM, after verifying our address for the second time. Got an email at 7:38PM Sunday stating that they are cancelling, as they do not service our area. Got another follow-up email on Monday around 12:16PM, asking if we have received their first email. First of all, if this is a cancellation, a call would've been more professional. I understand that Sunday night might not have been the best time to call, but you had ample of time to call on Monday from morning - noon. This is unacceptable. I had to take the day off to get this sorted. I'm sure their service is great, but it appears they do not know where they service. Might I suggest using Google Maps to check where we are located and even Google Calendar (it also appears they have an overbooking problem, not just for us, but other customers)? read more

Didn't have a good experience with this company , I had them come out to inspect my home in marina del ray , this guy shows up in a unmarked white van and introduced himself as the inspector, I explained him that we had our home rat proofed 5 years ago with another company and a new hole must've opened . He right away insisted he check the attic , upon popping his head inside briefly he began making a commotion and showed me pictures of what supposedly was my attic insulation all torn up and loaded with rat poop the "inspector" then ran to his unmarked van put on a white hazmat suit and made a big deal about the whole situation and insisted it's necessary to remove our insulation . I asked him for the photos and let him know I'll get back to them - a week later and after multiple requests for the photos still no reasponse , the other 3 companies I had all let me know that my insulation was in top condition and that the photos the "inspector" showed were from a total different house . the inspector even threw his "hazmat" suit on the floor by the entrance to the house . We purchased a new house in Redondo Beach and about 2 yrs after moving in we heard noises in our living room wall. After getting bids from three companies, we chose Rodent Masters because of 1) price, 2) their warranty, and 3) the thoroughness of their inspection and resulting bid. They returned to rodent proof our home and we became "empty nesters" again for just over a year. Then we heard noises again in the wall. Rodent Masters responded quickly and Juan identified their new access point and repaired it during the same visit. He also told me if rats were trapped inside the house, there would likely be two. The next day there were two trapped rats by one of the access points to the crawl space. He said that's where they would likely be if any were still left in the house after closing off their access point. They need to get out to feed and they will travel within a house until they find daylight which means a way out. Excellent detection and remediation work by Juan and Rodent Masters. We've been with Rodent Masters for many many years...living on a hill means we have to share the space with rodents and sometimes they find a way into the house...when we first moved into our house, we were unaware of how to handle rodent problems, so we contacted a couple other companies that came and charged us to set up some traps (that didnt catch anything anyway) or did some sloppy patch work...we had to pay them every single time they came (and they did virtually nothing)...we finally found Rodent Masters and liked that they had a guarantee (as we quickly learned, having rodents is never a one and done kind of situation)...they definitely seem expensive but it's been worth it...ideally neither of us want them coming back to our house so I always feel like they're doing their best to patch everything up and keep the rodents at bay. My only complaint is that sometimes they're too busy to come right away so that fresh catch quickly becomes...not so fresh (IYKYK) but understandably, we're not their only customer and they're busy working hard. read more

After the appt time I received a reply indicating they had a software problem & double booked , but noted I had not confirmed the appt. I had confirmed the appt. I will update my review once the job is complete but in the meantime, I felt that I should review and provide positive comments on our estimate. We asked two companies to provide an estimate. I don't think it would be fair to name the competitor but I will say this. Hands down, Rodent Masters provided so much more than the other company. 1. The competitor did not provide us with photos, Rodent Masters did. 2. The competitor was in and out quickly, Rodent Masters (Charlie) took his time - not only that, but when our dog that had been pinned up in the kitchen so that Charlie could freely walk around got out and jumped on him, he was so cool - said he loved dogs and was not the slightest bit upset. 3. The competitor pushed certain types of service that we didn't need. 4. And, drumroll, please, the competitor came in with an estimate that was literally, twice as high as Rodent Masters - but Rodent Masters provides better quality. Case in point - Competitor's estimate for R-30 rolled insulation was $3.50 per sf. Rodent Masters provides a higher code of R-38 insulation and it was almost half the price. As far as pricing goes, when we compared line item by line item, Rodent Masters was much more competitive (50% less) overall. I have to say, when we received the competitor's estimate to do the work, once I peeled myself up and off of the floor, my husband and I both wondered if we were going to get a completely new rebuilt attic for that price. I'm so glad I chose Rodent Masters. I got four bids for securing the house (attic and under crawl space). The bid was extremely professional. The problems were pointed out very matter of factly and accurately. The representative looked in all the relevant locations and took photos. There were two best bids in terms of clarity and price point. Rodent masters totally delivered. They were impeccable for cleanliness and respectfulness. The entire crew was knowledgeable. I was given accurate times for tasks and a time table for the entire job. Between the initial removal of insulation and insulation replacement is a month to ensure that the initial job was complete and that nothing was trapped inside. The checks were done with a lot of feedback and all questions answered. They use 38 roll insulation which is preferable when possible. My attic looks the best it has since I moved it. All questions were answered clearly. Nothing promised that could not be delivered. The shed yes (so glad those rodents are removed), outside, that's no win but techniques were suggested to reduce outdoor rodent population. All suggestions were ecosystem sound (no poison). This is especially important in a house with pets. Everything was done in a timely fashion. The warranty is two years (double most bids). I'm very grateful the representative Charlie was so knowledgeable as it made the final decision a bit easier. I will be recommending to friends and already told a work colleague to get a quote. We had a major infestation ... of RATS! We were catching several a day with an electric zap tunnel and snap traps but they kept coming in and were very active at night. They were even nibbling around a light fixture in the ceiling in an attempt to get in after we blocked their usual routes of entry -- so we knew they were multiplying in the attic. Our previous service had done a good job in figuring out how and where the rats were getting in, and they had let us know that the latest entry was under our deck in the backyard. But that company wasn't willing to go under the deck and block that hole and any others from the crawl spaces that lead to the attic. So we called Rodent Masters. The inspectors from Rodent Masters did a thorough job of inspection and located every access point and then blocked them all. They got under the house, under the deck, entered every crawl space and blocked off everything. Then they got in the attic and did the same after removing our old and outdated insulation from the 1920s. And they were total professionals from the get-go. It was a friendly, responsible crew that cleaned up, put it all back in place, and in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic the crew wore masks and social distanced. Since then, the rats have stopped coming in -- no more "activity", nothing. The follow ups were just as thorough -- there were two of them before the final stage of the process which was blowing new insulation into the attic. That's the other thing we got out of this -- our 1920s house had old, shredded newsprint from the 1920s as our insulation, something that the rats found to be very comfy-cozy. Now we have modern, thick, fireproof insulation that's as white as snow and should lower heating and AC costs. The process took a while -- the inspectors spaced out the inspections to make sure that the repairs held before the re-insulation was completed. But the rats ended on the day the first service was done and that has held for almost three months now. We got several estimates from other companies who would do both the rat-proofing and the insulation and Rodent Masters came in with the lowest bid.
