Mosquitoes are SO BAD now, and I am From Florida!! I can't believe it, every time my kids stepped outside they would come back in with 10+ bites! Thanks to google and yelp I found homeshield and called them for help specifically with mosquitoes. I was able to set up monthly service quickly and they set to work putting traps out and treating the property. I am two months in and so far it has definitely helped. Sergio is our technician and has been extremely fast and efficient with my yard and switching the containers out to kill these pests! I love that everything is automated with this company as well, I get a notice when they are coming, treat the area, and have left. My last place it was really random and hard to tell, so I appreciate the communication! read more

HomeShield Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me

I'll start off by saying that I have never left a bad review. My experience with HomeShield has been the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company. I can honestly not comprehend how they have such a high rating other than the fact they beg for reviews after each service. First the good: They respond quickly, have low upfront fees, and if you push them a little they'll discount. They'll also get out to your house for the fist service within a few days. The general treatment definitely works (though I don't think the mosquito one does). I loved all of that and it's why I chose to work with them. Also, their phone customer support reps are nice. That's about where it stops. The bad: I signed up for both the monthly mosquito service, and the quarterly general service. I was told the rep that would come out would walk me through the service, look for areas where mosquito breeding sites could be etc. That didn't happen. I had explicitly asked for the inside of the garages to be the main area of focus, but I don't think the reps read the notes because I had to come out and remind him when he was about to leave (more on this later). He had also forgot to bring the mosquito trap so he said he would come back the next week to bring it. Not a big deal. A week went by and nothing, two weeks, then three... I had to call to remind them this was happening, and then the rep came by to drop it off. Two weeks later my next treatment was due, and no one came. I figured someone would call me, and as I'm busy I didn't get a chance to call them until it was almost the end of the month. It had been roughly 8 weeks between services. Their email customer support was no help, so I finally called the customer support line and they were very pleasant and apologetic, and said someone would be out ASAP and offered me a refund. Finally the rep came the last day of the month. I thought ok great we're back on track. I then noticed I got charged again a few days later, but it had been 8 weeks between services, so I emailed again. I was told that because they actually made it out on the last day of the month I would not get a refund. Also, on this visit, I asked the rep to stop spraying for a sec so I could move my car to the front of the house and load up my baby. He says ok and I move the car. A few minutes later, as I'm loading up the baby, he appears 5 feet from me and starts spraying. It was unbelievable. Then, guess who DIDN'T SHOW UP AT ALL for the next month? They blamed it on scheduling errors once again. That was the end for me, I called to cancel, and was able to cancel my mosquito treatment, but they said if I cancel the general quarterly treatment I would incur a fee. I was upset because I would have loved nothing more than to never have to talk to anyone from this company ever again. But the phone customer support person apologized and said everything would be fine from now on. I said ok and let him know that I did not want the same rep to come, and that the most important part was in and around the garage. He noted it for the next rep. They came for their service but I wasn't home to meet them. I then started noticing more spiders in/around the garage, and looked at the cameras. The other rep did not go in the garage (he must have been wondering why there were two open garages with the cars pulled out), and in fact did not even go to the back part of my backyard. I'm honestly exhausted from having to communicate with this company. They have not done one thing right the entire time I've worked with them and their email support is not good. They think its ok to charge you every month even when they don't come for basically 2 months. RUN AWAY and find another company. read more

We love HomeShield Pest Control and Sergio! We selected the quarterly treatment plan but know they're available for spot checks should we ever have an infestation. (We originally called them about flies, which haven't been an issue since they started treating the home.) They're great! read more

Sergio G was amazing! He is by far the best technician we've had with HomeShield so far. He really took the time to listen to our concerns and understand the issues we were having with mosquitoes and spiders. He was very thorough and made sure we were completely taken care of. He knocked down all of the spider webs around the house, sprayed everything thoroughly, and refilled our mosquito bucket. I really appreciated that he didn't rush and made sure all of our concerns were addressed before leaving. Great customer service and attention to detail. We would definitely be happy to have Sergio come back again! read more

Very responsive. Super professional. Realized I had used them in the past and was very happy with their professionalism.

Joseph came on Thursday and did a great job treating the perimeter of the home, cleaning spider webs along the way.

I had a great experience with HomeShield Pest Control. Rodney was the service technician during our most recent visit, and he was outstanding from start to finish. He treated both the interior and exterior of our home thoroughly and took the time to explain the process and answer any questions I had. Rodney was professional, respectful, and very courteous while working around our family and home. We have also had Xavier service our home before, and he was great as well. It is clear that HomeShield has a strong team that takes pride in providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend HomeShield Pest Control if you are looking for reliable, professional, and respectful pest control service. Thank you to both Rodney and Xavier for the great experience! read more

Update: after reading my review, the company reached out and provided a full refund. I'm very happy with the outcome but wish my experience had been better at the outset. I'd rather have less frustration and no mosquitos! Still, they did their best to make it right so I'm adding 2 stars. read more

I have been a client of this business for more than a year. They have done a wonderful job of keeping ants away and with the monthly fee I pay, they do come by and do maintenance which has been effective. More recently, I ran into a rodent issue. The technician came and left a trap which as far as I can tell has been very infective. Given that I called to schedule an inspection. The time I was give my the coordinator was not conveyed to the technician as I waited 1/2 a day for him to contact me. It took 5 calls to the company to get a callback over a VOIP connection that was barely intelligible. The coordinator was able to get me in touch with the technician whose window for my appointment was 12 hours (as opposed to the 4 hour window I was given. While the scheduled services work well... communication (at last as of late) is sorely lacking and difficult. I would proceed with caution and am considering taking my business elsewhere as a result of this interaction. ADDENDUM: within an hour of placing this, the technician, Leon arrived. He provided a careful review of the situation and prepared a very reasonable plan to handle the issue. Customer service also called and apologized and acknowledged the error. It was good to see that the company was very responsive given what happened. They did right by me and I will continue my business with them. read more

After almost 20 years being committed to a different pest company we finally knew it was time for a change. The main concern was the constant turnover and the minimal efforts the previous technicians put into their work. Finally after careful research, we decided to go with HOMESHIELD and I think we have made the right choice. The technician, named Marcus showed up, took the time to follow through all our needs and completed everything I had asked for. We recently received our second treatment by Marcus and so far so good! That's a huge relief! Thank you, Marcus! read more

Fair warning: No due dilligence. As a returning customer, I asked this company to inspect the attic of our apartment building for rodents. They not only did not inspect the attic, they told my tenant the rats were not in the attic (despite her hearing noises in her ceilings). I called the manager who said they would send somebody else out to inspect the attic. That person told my tenant it's better not to open the attic door or the rodents may escape into her living area. Not only is this blatantly false, they sent me a contract for abatement. Seriously?? How do they know what animal they are abating?? Are they going to set a mouse trap for a raccoon?? How can they identify access points?? They had the audacity to send me a contract for mediation of their non-investigative unfindings. **But, I should have known better*** We used this company a couple of years ago for rodent abatement and to seal access points. I walked the property, checking the schematic they gave me for access point remedies they claimed to have finished. I found several items on their schematic which were not completed on the property. They did send somebody out to address the issues.. sevetal times because the workers kept mIssing the same spots. On a positive note, everybody is polite on the phone. read more

Marcus is a great staff from HomeShield! I had some mouses issue at home, Marcus came the next day and set up the traps and the same night the trap got the mouse. He taught me some tricks to get them quickly and it really worked! I'm very happy with their service. Highly recommend! read more

Update: I spoke with this business. They are going to resolve this issue. Once they realized the issue, the proposed a resolution. Very professional, I will definitely continue using them in the future. 5-stars for customer service and for turning around an unhappy customer. Previous post: Good service, until you need to change your plan. I called, spoke to someone, and canceled my service. At the time, he said he would cancel it but would follow up because he did not have access to the full system. Instead of honoring that cancellation, I owe $180 for services I never received. read more

Heard about home shield from a friend, and if the initial consultation is representative of their service, color me satisfied. Had Marcus come out within 2 days of setting my first appointment. He showed up early, quickly addressed the issues we needed, and was overly friendly throughout the process. Update after a few days: Upon further review walking around my home, I noticed many spider webs were missed, even some I made specific note of for the technician. I have reached out for assistance but have yet to hear back. A bit frustrated by this but will update if/when they come back and finish their work. Update: Marcus came back out and cleaned out the rest of the webs/bugs in a timely manner, and even found time to do it on a holiday. Great work! read more
