I have been using Juan for a few months now and he has been nothing short of spectacular. When I first reached out it was due to hearing something in the wall in an area that had been added on years ago. I also noticed droppings outside of this area. Juan arrived a few days later and explained in detail what was going on and what he was going to do to prevent the rats from entering the holes outside as well as checking the attic. He is responsive to texts, very accommodating and fair in his pricing. I feel fortunate I found such a nice man and knowledgeable person to deal with what I consider something I don't want to think about. Juan from Pro Excel Pest had recently controlled a rat situation in my attic, and I'm so grateful for how calm and professional he was during the entire process. When I was trying to get quotes for service and was dealing with poor and long drawn-out communication with other pest control companies, he stood out in the best possible way, promptly returning my call to schedule an inspection and consultation. Juan was also the least alarmist in his assessment of my problem. After the inspection he told me where he thought the rodents were coming in from and then offered a conservative plan of treatment: installing wire screens over those entry points, placing traps in the attic and crawl space, and monitoring the areas for a month to see if the rats returned. Compare this to a consultation and quote from another company, where they seemed to describe my attic as one big hazmat situation filled with rat droppings. On top of the exclusion service, they were pressuring me to do a costly deep cleaning of the attic with an install of new insulation, saying that they were available the next day to do all the work and that the rats would multiply exponentially if I didn't act soon. I didn't feel comfortable with being scared into the hard sell, so I didn't go with that company. (Later on I asked Juan if I needed my attic cleaned, and he said that the number of droppings was pretty minimal, so no.) It's been a month since the barrier screens were installed, which seemed to have solved the problem right away -- during each weekly follow-up visit from Pro Excel Pest to check the traps, they came up empty. And thankfully I'm not hearing any more squeaking or chewing noises in any part of my house. SO pleased and impressed with this company! Juan really is the best. We heard a rat moving around and chewing in our attic. A couple other companies came and used major scare tactics and fully overpriced their services. One of them didn't even do a perimeter check. The other was a smooth talker and made everything sound completely overblown. When Juan called and heard how much these other guys were charging, he told me to be careful. He and his crew came, did a thorough inspection around the house and in the attic, and explained the mild rat problem very calmly and reasonably. No scare tactics, way more reasonable / appropriate pricing, honest and clear with explanations and photos. They sealed all the entrances and set out traps. Within less than a week, I could smell that something had died, and even though we weren't at the pre-scheduled one-week mark to have the traps assessed, Juan went out of his way to come check the traps and found TWO rats that he had caught! The crawlspace was clear and we can finally be at ease that 1) the house is secured; and 2) we are rat-free without some rotting vermin attracting flies. Truly can not recommend this company enough. My husband used this company for rodent proofing because of the good review on Yelp. I'm not sure about his other pest control services but I definitely would not recommend rodent proofing from this company because he is simply too unprofessional for a $1400 job. We initially found out rodent biting off air ducts in the attic and after initial consultation with Juan, we started his program before spending $6800 to replace with new air ducts with another HVAC company. But guess what? In less than a month after finishing the program, the new air ducts were found chewed off again when we hired an attic and crawl space company for mold remediation estimation. The specialist educated me on how to tackle rodent issues in a professional way rather than slapping on a bandaid and having that issues coming back a few months later. When I contacted Juan, the only comment he kept repeating was everything was intact when they left, meaning they patched and sealed every damaged soffits vents and pipes in crawl space, attic and roof. They only took pictures of what they repaired as the proof of the work they've done. If there's anything found damaged/not repaired in other vents and pipes later on, he simply said this damage was caused by other people such as the HVAC guy. The truth is no one touched the soffti vents in the attic when installing the new air ducts and Juan never checked and pointed out the damaged screens of soffti vents in the attic. The damage was there with piping and wiring penetrating through without sealing around it and the specialist also pointed out how unfit the main crawl space door was that it left a big crack when closed for small mouse to squeeze through. Juan simply said the door was good when they left and people crawling under didn't put it back correctly. But the truth is no matter how I manipulated the door, it's just unfit to be put back. Later I worked with another company specializing in attic, crawl space and rodent proofing that addresses this in a holistic and professional way that they're confident to offer 15 years of warranty. I would NOT recommend this company for rodent proofing service at all because they're not only unprofessional but also irresponsible. They should compensate for the newly chewed off air ducts. It's wasting my money and time to work with them, so be wise to research beforehand when using a company's service. read more

We had rodents in the house and had done our exclusion work through another pest control company that we didn't feel confident in after all was said and done. I reached out to Juan when I found more droppings one day. He was SO WONDERFUL. He spent 20 minutes on the phone with me thoroughly explaining the exclusion process with me that should have been communicated by the other company and talking me through options. We ended up having him come out to the property to confirm that the work from the other company was done properly and it gave us so much peace of mind to have his expertise. A huge selling point for us was that Pro Excel is a smaller company and you speak with who comes out to your house rather than a scheduling service. After years of trying ant baits and home made remedies we knew we needed a professional. Juan and Pro Excel deserves 10 stars! He solved our HUGE ant invasion in October/November 2025 over 3 visits. In the 1st visit, he and team sprayed the perimeter of the house, front and back yards, driveway, and patios. He showed us where the ants had their nests and educated us about ants moving to a new location. The ants decided to move inside the exterior wall next to our kitchen and soon there were ant highways in our kitchen. We texted/talked with Juan and on the 2nd visit, Juan sprayed the interior parts of the kitchen. We continued to have ants in the kitchen and dining room and Juan made an exception to see us on a Saturday morning. On the 3rd visit, he recommended spraying the entire 1st floor of the house. It took 2 weeks for the interior treatment to work resulting in NO ANTS inside or outside! I first called Pro Excel following a roach sighting. My wife is terrified of these things and I wouldn't have any peace until something was done about it. Juan, the owner has been super friendly to work with. He is very patient in explaining his process and going through the treatments. He's also willing to reassure my wife with what to expect and confirms that some of the critters she sees are not roaches. After all, she'll never take my word for it. The treatments are non-toxic for plants and pets, so that is reassuring. As a side benefit, the treatments have gotten rid of the very noisy crickets that have been more and more noticeable each of the last few summers. I was worried about a reported bedbug in my apartment complex and called Pro Excel for a possible inspection. Here is another 5 star review which is deserved. Called yesterday , spoke to the main man and he came out today for wasp nest removal. Great communication with texts, and called/texted me 30 minutes before arrival like they were supposed to . Upfront price was decent compared to others and what I read online. Found 3 more wasp nests when they checked the full house perimeter, so that did add to my bill so it wound up costing a fair amount. Mine were all up under the wood eves of the one story house so easy to get at. Asked about other services like ants and they use a non toxic peppermint oil treatment. Which is good but the pesticide stuff does last longer if you dont mind that. But I like the honest , fast service and attitude and would def use them again. Plus they were local and close to me and I like using local smaller companies not the big ones. read more

This is how I found Juan. First off, he is super nice and knowledgeable and didn't mind answering all my questions. He also explained what the other pest control service did wrong and gave me a lot of advice AND always answers my follow-up texts very quickly, which I really appreciate.
