TL;DR - Highly recommended. Thorough, professional, effective, responsive, personable. The whole story: I had Sam out to the house because I've had a lot of rats scurrying through my yard since the Eaton fire and some of them have gotten into my attic and crawl spaces. Sam verified the problem, taking pictures showing where nesting and food storage was taking place, as well as identifying active access points. He gave me an estimate for trapping and exclusion, which I accepted, and he came out on a different day to actually do the work. It took quite a while to do the exclusion work because he and his helper were very thorough. The had to put together heavy-duty screens and other blocking mechanisms to keep all animals (not just rats - think everything from mice to squirrels to raccoons) from gaining access to my house. After the installation, Sam came back a few times to check traps and also to be sure that the exclusion mechanisms weren't being breached. I've been rodent-free for several weeks, and I have been very happy with all aspects of the service provided. I recommend this company. read more

Found Pasadena Pest Control on Yelp, and reached out to them for an initial inspection on my older Spanish style home in San Gabriel since we had noticed some rodent activity in our kitchen and hallway closets. All I can say is, trust their 5-star reviews b/c they are everything their positive reviews said they were! 1) Sam reached out almost immediately after I contacted them for an initial inspection. We scheduled the inspection for a time that was convenient for me and my parents (who live in the house) and Sam arrived exactly when he said he would. What I initially liked about Pasadena Pest Control was the communication. I received a text reminding me of the appointment, and updates on when they would be arriving. A pet peeve of mine is when businesses give me an 8 hour window of arrival with no indication of when they would be coming. Not the case with this team! 2) Sam was very thorough with his inspection - noting to me all of the entry points in the house that the rodents could possibly entering from and the areas inside the house that would need disinfecting/clean up. He was very polite and knowledgeable of his trade and went over details of the work that would need to be done to the house. I did not feel pressured at all to do the work - no heavy handed sales tactics. Just a good and detailed recommendation of work to be done. I received a thorough statement of work via email later that day. 3) After reviewing the statement of work to rodent proof our house, I decided to have Pasadena Pest Control perform the work. Their quote was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done to the house and I felt confident that Sam would do a professional job on the house. 4) Just like the initial inspection, Sam came to the house exactly when he said he would and worked 8+ hours straight to finish up the job. My mom gushed on just how polite Sam was throughout the work! After the work was done, they stopped by the house two more times a couple of weeks later to check on the traps that were set inside and outside of the house. 5) There is only so much I can say about rodent-proofing my house. In summary though, Pasadena Pest Control is a professional business with fair pricing, and did exactly what they said they would do (and did it with a smile!). A month later, my house is rodent-free. Pasadena Pest Control has been servicing our primary home for the past few seasons and they are great! Sam and his team show up when they say they will, are efficient with scheduling, and communicate clearly. The services I pay for are ground-perimeter spraying for creepy-crawlers, spraying of walls and hedges for flying insects, and monthly mosquitoes treatments during peak breeding periods. Although not all flying insects can be eliminated, the treatments definitely minimize the insects in and around the property. They also take care of mice and rat infestation if that is a concern. We have a credit card on file and it makes monthly treatments and payments easy and efficient. I would definitely recommend them if you want a pest-reduced environment! read more

Recently moved to Pasadena and during the summer heat started to notice an issue with ants, all the solutions I tried would help temporarily but ultimately they'd still be around a day or so later. Sam came out and gave me a lot of good information and useful tips, and did an exterior treatment and I couldn't believe the results. That very next day there was not a single ant anywhere in the house! Even when my crazy pets spilled food on the floor a few days later when I was at work, not a single ant came to get the food. Our experience with Pasadena Pest Control was exceptional. We had a rat incursion in our home and were understandable stressed. Sam and David came out and were the epitome of professional and thorough. They were literally at our home for 14 hours making sure every nook and cranny was sealed. They went in to our crawl space and basement. They had to custom build a door to block the outside entrance to our crawl space and it looks great. They were also respectful of our space and kept things clean and neat. They came back twice to check the traps that were set. We haven't had any issues with rats or other pests since Pasadena Pest Control came through. One thing to note is they are busy. It took about a week for them to come evaluate our home and another week to come do the exclusions. Part of that timeline is because we became aware of our issue during the Thanksgiving holiday.
