After years of having mice/rats/raccoon issues in my basement (only during the winter months), I finally had it. I searched through my local FB groups for recommendations. There are so many pest control companies out there that it was truly mind-blowing to pick 3 to come give me estimates. 2 of the companies I found through that FB group were going to charge me over $100 to come out for an estimate that would be applied to the future service cost(s). Researched their very well designed websites, offering all these different pest control and deterrent methods, etc. Don's Drop Dead Pest Control didn't have any website that I could find. They don't do any advertising or marketing. In this day & age, that's impossible! But it's for real! They do amazing business solely from word-of-mouth recommendations and referrals. The front office admin is friendly, helpful, and so pleasant. She did her best to make the appointment for me and my next-door neighbor so they were back-to-back. Tim, our technician, worked on the neighbor's house first and then called me to let me know he was ready to check my house. I raced home from work, and he patiently waited for me. He took his time thoroughly inspecting my basement, roof, garage, and attic. He found the entry points, explained in detail what he thought would be best. He gave me a printed estimate he typed up in his truck, and I agreed to the estimated price. Tim immediately got to work, closing up the entry points, setting baits (no poison), and told me he would be back in 1 month to see if there are new activities in those problem areas. I asked him how much I owed today, to which he replied the office would bill me later. How about a deposit? Nope, nothing. Tim even gave my barking dog a doggy treat he carries in his truck for his own dog! Doggo was cautious, but ate that treat right up! One month later, Tim came back to check on everything. Found no new activity! Barely took an hour, and I received a bill about 2 weeks later for the amount he quoted. He said it could be more depending on the 2nd visit and if he needed to set up more bait, etc. Don's Drop Dead Pest Control is a locally owned company and treats their customers like we're their neighbors. Very helpful, friendly, respectful of my property/house, thorough. Now, I wish I had called them years ago!! If you're on the fence about the different pest control companies and high costs, just stop wasting your time & call Don's. Hands down the best, most trustworthy pest control company I've ever used. We had a minor rat issue in our attic and went through 2 other pest control companies who let the issue grow to where we now have damage to our HVAC ducting. If we had used Don's from the beginning it would've prevented a lot of headaches. I couldn't believe the difference in their initial inspection compared to anyone else who had come out. Everyone else spent max 10 minutes and Patrick was here for almost 2 hours checking every nook and cranny for entry points, and explained the whole process to me. Now I also use them for all general quarterly pest control services, and somehow in total it was still more affordable than other estimates we'd gotten. I've not been asked to leave a review like a lot of businesses tend to do, but I'm compelled to do so after their third visit today. Their technicians are always here for a good length of time and treat all over the yard, not just the immediate perimeter of the house. The previous company I used would spray around the immediate perimeter which would take all of about 2 minutes and then they'd leave. Not Don's Drop Dead. This spring I had a rodent problem in the garage and maybe the attic. I decided to check Nextdoor to see what pest control my neighbors recommend. There were the usual big companies that were mentioned and I had two of them come out. Someone also mentioned Don's Drop Dead Pest Control. Admittedly I didn't call them at first because it's an odd name for a company. When the first two came out they stated the same exact thing that I had a big problem and it would cost $X to do the job. Couldn't really tell one from another. By coincidence or not, they both had the exact same price and number of fixes they were going to do. Seemed a little odd but maybe that's the going rate. I wanted another quote and decided to call Don's to see if it's the area I lived in that is causing the price to go so high or what. The technician (I don't name people or businesses in my reviews) came out and did his analysis and the number of fixes was a little more than the others. I though it was a way to charge more. But their methods of ridding rodents is different than the others and they only needed to come out twice and they had the same guarantee. But the price was so much lower than the others so I figured this way I'm might be the "amateur" way so was skeptical. By chance my neighbor happened to be walking his dog and said to me that this company helped him out before and it was so quick and effective that he recommends them. We decided to go with them and really be picky if we hear anything during the guarantee period. The technician was at my house way longer than he anticipated but he did fixes and covered all the areas he said he would. I even asked him about a hole in the garage and he said he can just fix that as well. It is now past the guarantee period and we have not heard a thing or seen any evidence of any critters since then. He did a great job and I can't say enough how much I recommend their services. I'm only sorry I doubted them in the first place. Please at least let them give you an estimate on your problem and let them tell you how they control the problem. They are worth it. read more

I've used Don's twice now - both times for ants. Both times, I saw a large number of ants outside my house in a steady stream. I was concerned about them coming into the house, so I called Don's on the recommendation of a good friend who had also used them, with success. The first time, about 3 years ago, they treated and the ants didn't come back. This time, they came out, treated, and the ants came inside the house instead of just being outside. Not an improvement. I called them back and they came back out the same day - making sure to squeeze me in (which I really appreciate!). So far, so good! No more ants inside - or outside. STOP YOUR BUG/PEST SEARCH HERE and call Don's! Before calling Don's, I called another pest control company and, without even coming out to do an inspection, they recommended that we spray pesticide indoors/outdoors and vacate the premises for 24 hours. Not only would this have been inconvenient and extremely costly ($500), but spraying pesticides before even diagnosing the problem seems pretty brash and a little irresponsible. Contrary to that first experience, when I called Don's, the scheduling assistant or manager (Joanie) sent someone out same day for a FREE INSPECTION. The inspector (Tim) was so friendly, professional, and a pest EXPERT! He thoroughly inspected the premises with a flashlight and magnifying glass to diagnose the problem. He spent over an hour inspecting our place thoroughly and explaining to us what he was looking for. While he easily could have upsold us on a costly treatment, he informed us that we should be able to take care of the problem on our own with some thorough vacuuming and standard household cleaners. He reassured us that if this doesn't fix the problem, then he will come back out and try something else. BOTTOM LINE: Don's pest control is honest, thorough, professional, and responsive...all things you want when suffering from a bug/pest anxiety attack. We used Don's Drop Dead Pest Control to get rid of a huge infestation of ants that have been roaming the kitchen and laundry area for far too long. The rep was on time, courteous, knowledgeable and efficient, and the cost was very reasonable.
