Wasp nests, ugh! In general, wasps do not bug me (lol, pun intended!). However, on a Saturday night, their little black scout flew into my house and literally buzzed near my right ear, while I was washing the dishes, oh, game on! (Yup, I ended up killing the lil bastard). Also, the day I called Prolific Pest Control, I avenged the poor little honeybees that died around my backyard. After I killed the scout, I walked around my house and garage area. Sure enough, there were multiple wasp nests, including a huge one above the garage basketball hoop, yikes! Called on a Monday morning and within the same day, wasp nests be gone! Their call operator, Melly assisted with gathering information first (pest problem, house address and call back number). Two hours later, Vanessa (Business Manager) called me back to confirm if I still needed service, pricing estimate, and time frame of when their nearest technician would be able to come to my house (appointment was set in the afternoon). By 3:23 p.m., Jesse (the Owner/Technician) arrived. We did a walk thru of my house and garage so that I could show him the active and old wasp nests. Afterwards, he got down to business with spraying the nests, killing the wasps that were there and discarding them. He even helped me removed an empty (bird or rat's) nest above the backyard light. He also made sure I was within a safe distance away in case anything flew out by surprised (nope, just an abandoned nest, no eggs, feathers or fur). We then did a final walk thru just to make sure all the wasp nests were removed, yay! Jesse assured me that once these nests are sprayed and removed, the wasps won't come back to rebuild, but might check out the sprayed areas. The next couple of days, I did see some wasps checking out their removed nests, but were gone by evening. If they did happen to come back and started nest building again (within the next 45 days of when was service completed), Jesse or another technician will come back and do it again, free of charge. That put my mind at ease since I was asking him a lot of questions (hey, this was my first time working with a professional exterminator since my usual "exterminators" are my male relatives, lol!). Lastly, Jesse mentioned that if I ever needed to get rid of ants, they would also credit the amount that they charged me towards it (I'll keep that in mind). Once Jesse was done (within less than 30mins), he let Vanessa know and she called me back to take my payment over the phone. Within a few minutes later, I received my emailed receipt. Service: Melly, Vanessa and Jesse were professional, prompt, friendly and courteous. They were great to work with. Overall, I was very pleased with the service provided by Prolific Pest Control. I had a rat or two visit a few times in my bathroom and that was all it took for me to search for a pest control company. I found lots of listings on Yelp but I chose Prolific not only because of lots of five star reviews but I could see in the pictures posted that they rodent proof the home if needed, and I was pretty sure that's what I needed. Other companies say they rodent proof the home but I needed to see what that meant. Rene showed up to the appointment on time and was a very pleasant guy to talk to. He let me roam around with him and provided explanations as to what he was searching for. After finding a few entry points, he wrote up an inspection report and gave me a quote. I agreed to it and wrote a check for a deposit and am waiting for someone from the office to schedule a day where they can come back and do the work. So far, it's been a pleasant andexperience and I will update this review when the work is done. **UPDATE: I got a call from the office within a few short hours of the initial inspection, scheduled for service, a few guys came out and did a pretty good job with what needed to be done. They covered areas around my home that were open, or could possibly be entry points to the house but most importantly, installed a legit crawl space door which is where we think the main problem was. The old one was flimsy and easily moved/shifted. See pictures of the work. They reassured us to call them whenever we needed if we had any other problems. One year warranty! We have had a rat problem for years where we live in Altadena because we're up against the foothills and mountains. Rats in the attic, rats under our crawl space and rats in our yard. We spent thousands to clean the attic and install new insulation - and the rats returned. When I contacted Nicholas I thought to myself - he won't be able to do anything. These guys were great. We had a severe and long term ant problem. Prolific came out quickly and when they said they would. They explained what they were going to do before they did it. It has been several months since their treatment and we've had no ants since. They also said that we could put them on a contract for ongoing ant control but recommended against doing this. Rodent: I had Rene come out to check out some potential issues of rodents, per the recommendation of the technician who provided my bug service done, and I'm so glad I did! He provided great service and was very timely in arriving during his scheduled time. He pointed out several problem areas and explained exactly what we will be doing to take care of the issues. I feel confident in issuing prolific and would recommend them for others who might have concerns. Big issues: Great service, quick response time, results were effective! They were able to fit me in the same day I requested service, and updated me during the day about the timing the service would be. Jesse the gentleman who provided the service at our home, very polite, great explanations of everything, answered all my questions, and was very quick. And most importantly, our ant problem has been solved. We tried to treat it ourselves for months, with out much luck. Jesse founds a few colonies of ants around the yard and treated the house inside and out. While it might be cheaper to go to Home Depot to but your own bug spray, their prices were reasonable and results are much better than you'll get on your own. I am very happy with Prolific Pest Control. I'm a wimp when it comes to bugs, so pest control was one of the first calls I made after moving into our new home. We had lots of ant trails and lotttts of spiders. We now have bimonthly service with our technician Nicholas. He's super professional, easy going, and answers all of my questions, not to mention does a thorough job every time. Our ant problem subsided after one visit, which was a pleasant surprise because I know how persistent they can be. We had Argentine ants, those unrelenting 1/2 wide trail of ants that eventually took over our home. They were in every single room and nothing we tried ourselves ever worked. We tried everything, all the comercial products, sprays baits etc., all of he suggestions on social media, but the ants just kept coming. After repeated ant invasions for many weeks, we called Prolific Pest. I've forgotten the service reps name, but he was on time, wore a mask and gloves, kept a social distance, and answered all my questions. He sprayed around the perimeter of the house (nothing inside) and assured us that it would be effective within 45 days (and if it wasn't, he would come back for no charge). Nicholas was our technician. He was kind, courteous, and on time. He took the time to answer our questions and allay our fears... Eek, a mouse! It started in our attached garage when we got careless storing kibble. (It's now in a galvanized container even *we* can't open.) So then it went into the kitchen and nibbled some bread. Okay, NO. We now put bread and fruit in the fridge each night. (Yes, it adores fruit.) Still doing it until that last mouse is Gone. Two mice were killed instantly by traps in our spooky basement. (Please don't judge: immune deficiency issue in the household.) I don't think we ever had more than 4, more like 3? One tiny "dropping" only during this whole episode, the first mouse problem ever in our house of 18 years. Here's what's so great about Prolific Pest Control: we paid one price up front, but they have been back at least 10 times, sealing little openings in exterior walls, setting traps (safely, we have a small dog). Uniforms, good manners, ladders, quiet competence. I have every confidence that this Einstein mouse will have "left the building" by Christmas! read more

Had a nasty rodent problem and called these guys after reading the reviews and I was not disappointed! I received a quick call back from Vanessa (who is super helpful and responsive) and was able to get technicians to come out within a couple days. Nicholas and Rene came to my house and were very thorough in inspecting the interior and exterior and explaining all the issues they saw with the rodent problem. They actually placed traps the same day but also recommended that I patch up all the exterior openings around my house otherwise the rodent problem would continue. The traps ended up catching two big-a$$ rats the next day and I was too grossed out to handle it myself, so I called them back and they sent out a tech to remove the dead rodents. PROPS to them!! I did up paying for the techs to close up all openings around the house and they guarantee their work for a year! Definitely recommend this company and their amazing crew! read more

We have had some visits from some creepy critters in our house. Our neighbors have been undergoing a lot of construction and we have noticed a pattern. We didn't know where they were coming in from, but Adrian got to work right away. He showed us several entrances that they could come in through and it was shocking. I had a good interaction with Jesse about a year ago and when attempting to use him again today, it was a complete disaster. I called one Monday 6/5 and was told that on Tuesday someone would contact me to confirm date and time. I was not contacted, after reaching out a second time. I was confirmed for an appointment this morning at 8am. I was there at 805 to 825 AND called the tech (which went to voicemail which I left a message on). I was later contacted and told that the tech had arrived and waited around and no one was there. I was clearly there and no one called me, I believe the company that is handling the phones for this pest company is doing a bad job of relaying information. So unfortunate. It's about time I wrote a review for Prolific Pest Control and the wonderful job Jesse Sheeran did. It all started when we discovered tiny biting insects down stairs. I remember using the message function through Yelp and getting a message back from Jesse saying, "I want to help." By that time I knew we were dealing with bedbugs, I had read about how hard they are to eradicate, I had done enough research to determine how much it would cost me, and Jessie's message was tremendously reassuring. I also spoke to my manager who had had a similar experience with an infestation in another building. Jesse was able to come in a few days and he performed an inspection. It turns out that the infestation was much worse than we had thought, particularly upstairs in my roommate's room. Jesse said it was the worst infestation he had ever seen. I took some pictures in the room at the time but I'm not going to post them because they really look terrible. Trust me, you don't want to see them. (By the way, it turns out that my roommate had brought the bedbugs in from a hotel. Beware!) Jesse methodically explained everything that he would do and how much it would cost. The cost was consistent with the information I had obtained from my research. I couldn't wait for him to get started! He sent detailed receipts after each treatment through email describing everything he had done. I consistently experienced him as a trustworthy expert. Several treatments were needed (three or four, as I recall), a multipronged approach. Jessie not only did the treatments but also helped us move a heavy sleeper sofa from the living room that needed to go. It has now been over a year since the last treatment. I followed Jesse's advice with respect to what we needed to do with the beds; for example, they are now off the floor. In any case, since he completed the treatment, there have been no more bedbugs! read more
