It's about time I wrote a review for Prolific Pest Control and the wonderful job Jesse Sheeran did. It all started when we discovered tiny biting insects down stairs. I remember using the message function through Yelp and getting a message back from Jesse saying, "I want to help." By that time I knew we were dealing with bedbugs, I had read about how hard they are to eradicate, I had done enough research to determine how much it would cost me, and Jessie's message was tremendously reassuring. I also spoke to my manager who had had a similar experience with an infestation in another building. Jesse was able to come in a few days and he performed an inspection. It turns out that the infestation was much worse than we had thought, particularly upstairs in my roommate's room. Jesse said it was the worst infestation he had ever seen. I took some pictures in the room at the time but I'm not going to post them because they really look terrible. Trust me, you don't want to see them. (By the way, it turns out that my roommate had brought the bedbugs in from a hotel. Beware!) Jesse methodically explained everything that he would do and how much it would cost. The cost was consistent with the information I had obtained from my research. I couldn't wait for him to get started! He sent detailed receipts after each treatment through email describing everything he had done. I consistently experienced him as a trustworthy expert. Several treatments were needed (three or four, as I recall), a multipronged approach. Jessie not only did the treatments but also helped us move a heavy sleeper sofa from the living room that needed to go. It has now been over a year since the last treatment. I followed Jesse's advice with respect to what we needed to do with the beds; for example, they are now off the floor. In any case, since he completed the treatment, there have been no more bedbugs! read more

If you are reading this review you probably have a bug problem and that is awful, but you've found this yelp page so you're on your way to a bug free home and meeting the nicest bug-guy around. We have used Jesse several times for different issues and he has been amazing. His prices are affordable and really explains everything that he does with each job. Bugs are the worst and infestations can be both physically scary and affect you psychologically. Jesse is extremely nice and seems to genuinely care about his customers. read more

I called them up to have my attic inspected and found out I've got rodents problem. They were on time, professional, and courteous. Nicholas, Rene, and Adrian were great! They thoroughly inspected all area to see if there were any openings and closed them up properly. I also asked them to clean up and sanitize the attic and I'm very pleased with their work. Thank you guys!!! read more

Rene and Nicolas were superb. Even though time was tight on their first visit, they went out of their way to patch up some holes in my kitchen where the rat or rats were coming in through. Great and marvelous same day service. Nice guys too. Solid company. read more

Nicholas came by to assess my rodent problem, identified the potential problem, returned to remediate the area, and we waited. When that didn't solve the problem, we problem-solved and came up with another avenue to try. That did the trick. Nicholas doesn't give up until the problem is solved, he is patient and knowledgeable, and a nice guy to boot! He will not upsell you, he just wants his customers to be happy with solving the issue in the most cost-effective manner. If I could, I would give Prolific 20 stars! read more

I had to deal with an unexpected bed bug infestation a few months ago and it was traumatic to say the least! I was frantically calling around to try and find someone who could come and inspect my apartment that day, and was able to get a swift response from Prolific, and they were able to send their tech, Nicholas, out that same day. He walked me through the process and treated the room the following day. I appreciated his patience with my million questions and he walked me through the aftercare process, and made sure I knew their team was available to continue answering any questions I might have after his departure. When things like this happen, it's important to me that my service provider is patient and understanding, because dealing with pests can be an overwhelming and confusing experience. Definitely would recommend this company! read more

Found Prolific Pest Control right here on Yelp, trusted the other great reviews and I am glad I did. Boy do they know their stuff. We had some unwanted rodents but no more. The Prolific Pest team is highly professional, knowledgeable, very friendly and did a great job. They did a meticulous inspection, set traps, sealed up the house thoroughly and, I will add, paid great attention to aesthetics. (Fairly priced too.) I want to thank Nicholas and Rene for all their work and effort. read more

I just had a wasps service done with Chris and Nicholas, they are both very professional and they will ensure they had their job done before they left. I would highly recommend and will hire them again for any type of pest control need in the future! read more

These guys are the best. Easy to schedule, extremely fast and professional. They figured out the problem within minutes. Adrian is GREAT, helped me figure out a solution that was in my budget. When he and Johnny came over to do the work on my house, it was almost like they weren't there at all. No more rats, will definitely use these guys again (if I ever need to!) read more

Well it's been a little over a month since these folks came out, and we have not spotted one ant. Prior to Nicholas (the owner) coming to our house, we had a terrible time with the ants. And it was a real headache figuring out where they were coming from. While we saw them primarily in the kitchen area, they were also on different floors in the house. We tried those Terro balls for ants. While we initially had some success, the ants would come back and we finally had to call the pros. Prolific Pest Control are Pros for sure. Nicholas the owner is very thorough not only in applying what needs to be done for the job, but also very thorough in explaining what he's doing. On top of that, Nick's a very nice guy. You can't go wrong with Prolific Pest Control. Highly recommended!!! read more

Nicholas and his team are consummate professionals. We had a mice/rat issue and they took care of it ASAP. What most impressed me from Nicholas was his follow up process. Most companies do not follow up like they do...I strongly recommend them. read more

Do you live in Pasadena or around Pasadena and have pest issue? You can waste an hour or so and get quotes from the other guys (I did) or just take my word for it. I had a few rats in my attic with a couple access points. Jesse diagnoses the issues quickly and assures me not my fault it's normal :) thank you. Even reassured my tenants he has the issue under control! Jesse thank you and merry Christmas. You fixed / fixing my uninvited holiday guest problem so I can rest. 6 ! read more

Rene was super amazing with helping us with our rodent issue. Upon arrival, he was super informative about what was happening and how to control the situation. Did great work fixing up known and potential entry points for rodents. I definitely recommend this company and especially Rene if you have any issues with rodents or other pests because they know what they're doing and will get it done! read more

Prolific Pest Control - Rene with Prolific - Pest Control Near Me - Pasadena, California

Top notch service and good rates. The ants are gone!

Due to new renovation (add on to the house), we somehow had more critters (rats) come into our house . We called Prolific and their customer service is impeccable. They came right away and placed traps and then when we heard the traps snap, they came the next day even though they are in their busiest season. We were so impressed with their service , we asked them to help us close out any gaps and grates around the house. I would highly recommend Rene and Nicholas to come to your house! read more

We used Prolific Pest Control for two different infestations. One was for a bee hive removal which was inside our drywall and another was for a rodent removal/prevention. Both jobs were reasonably priced. Jesse and crew did thorough work and went above and beyond the call of duty. Rene and Samir were especially helpful during the rodent removal process. The office managers, Vanessa and Araceli were professional and responsive to phone calls and returning messages. I would highly recommend their services. read more

Nicolas and Rene are off to a strong start. They performed a very thorough inspection of home and identified many ways for rodents to enter. They will next perform all of the fixes that they identified. Nicolas and Rene are hands-on and proactive. read more

We contacted Prolific to help us deal with rodents that were accessing our garage. Nicholas was our main contact, and did an excellent and thorough job. He assessed the whole house to look for potential access points, and gave us a detailed plan for his proposed approach to seal our garage and house from rodents in a humane and environmentally safe manner. It was a fair price for what amounted to a full day of work and we are very happy with the quality of Nicholas' work. Sharon at Prolific and Nicholas are both great, prompt communicators. We were able to schedule everything very easily and quickly, and felt like we were taken care of throughout the process. We would certainly recommend Prolific and will use them for any future issues that come up. read more

I have been so impressed with the professionalism, expertise and attention to detail on the part of Jesse, the owner, and his new expert on rodent control, Rene. We recently moved into a 100+ year old house in Northeast LA with lots of unsealed openings in the attic and crawl space, as well as a raccoon living under the house. Jesse and Rene walked me through all the steps they proposed, answered all my questions and concerns, and have gone above and beyond to complete the work beyond my expectations I thank them for their work, and can't recommend them highly enough read more

I have used this company once and I recently called them again because the rodents have come back. The technician came out to give us a quote and originally said it would be $450. After a few questions he said he would waive the $75 inspection fee and the new total would be $375. When we went to schedule the work to be done they sent an electronic quote for 450. After explaining this to the admin and the manager they said they won't honor the $375 total. I'm really disappointed in how they handled this and feel like they purposely tricked us with the way they worded it and wrote it down. I just got off the phone with the manager and he said they already gave me a discount on the inspection fee for being a repeat customer, which is a lie. I'm not going to use this company as I feel like they are very slimy and have no integrity. They make promises they don't keep and the work doesn't not match the price. read more

Same day service, great attention to detail, and full customer satisfaction. Highly recommended for anyone with Pest problems, we had a rat problem and it was taken care of immediately. read more

The worst service I've seen and heard from the lady who picked up whom I sure is related to the owner of the company or else they wouldn't feel so untouchable being so adamantly rude. My sister called and asked a few questions only yo keep getting repeatedly cut off, firm answers when we were asking about monthly maintenance, did not absolutely care for our business. Was on speaker and heard everything and I even chimed in and said are you Prolific Pest we found on Yelp? Didn't care. Every other peat company was patient (no more than a 2 min convo) but this lady was out of control rude. Gave a couple of properties on our street To the pest company we hired. Such a rude lady, wow. read more

Nicholas and Ulises are awesome. They are extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and generous with their time and expertise. They do a great job preventing the spread of ants too! I had a minor rodent issue and went over to Rene as he was working on the house next door. He immediately came over and reassured me that he could help! A few days later, he came back and closed off the entry points. He was accommodating considering it was a last min request, informative and conscientious of the situation which was extremely appreciated! read more

We called Prolific Pest Control for a rodent problem. Jesse arrived and assessed our problem along with a plan of action. He also provided us with an estimate of the work to be done. With our approval he began working on our problem. He sealed all the possible points of entry. After 11 months we heard scratching again in our attic. We called Prolific Pest Control again and Jessie came right out and surveyed the areas that had been sealed and set traps. After a week Alex from Prolific returned and cleared the trap and resealed some areas doing an excellent job. All work at no additional cost. We will definitely call them again if any problems arise in the future. read more

I was very impressed with Jesse. He was professional and honest! He was able to fit me in on short notice and really saved the day when my new commercial tenant complained about some water bugs. I was so impressed by his work and attitude I am planning to have him take care of my building on a regular basis. Since I initially wrote this I had Jesse come out again when a tenant complained about a dead bug. I had run out of patience with the tenant but Jesse was calm and informative. He reinspected his work (which he didn't need to do) and was most accommodating and helpful. Kudos to Jesse for dealing with all sorts of pests! He's the best! read more

This company was wonderful to work with. I had been hearing scratching sounds in the wall. I called on a Saturday and Aleks inspected, and Aleks confirmed my worst nightmare: RATS. Altough it was disturbing information I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the inspection and recommendations. Aleks set up traps and returned Monday to seal up my walls and attic. Her helper, Nate, was also very professional and skilled at what he does. The team already removed 3 rats and sealed up the house. They don't expect that there is any rats left (the scratching sounds stopped) but they will check again on Friday. If there is any more problem after Friday they will return until its resolved! I am so happy to feel comfortable in my home again. Thank you Alecks and Nate! I highly recommend this team! read more

If you need REAL pest control please do yourself a favor and don't even bother with the huge corporate pest control companies. I've tried them both, and nothing will match the level of service and expertise as prolific. Prolific actually cares about their customers and they always do a great job at my property so I never have to deal with my wife complaining about bugs! Always easy to get in touch with and everyone is super friendly. These guys are the best in pasadena read more

I hired Prolific for an ant problem I had. Jesse arrived between the 2 hour window, but I had to leave for an appointment. He was very understanding and left an invoice on my door. I had to option to call to pay by card, or text my email address to get a link to pay online. This was very convenient, as my job makes it difficult for me to talk on the phone. After 24 hours, not an ant in sight! Was very pleased with the service. read more

Having pest issues Rene with prolific came out explained all the issues and got to work on the problem immediately. Helped out with leaving some traps and cocked the entry holes that the rats were getting in through. Will reccomend them to anyone I know having issues. Thanks guys appreciate everything you did to help us out. read more

I cannot recommend this company enough. The office staff are professional and communicative, and their workers show up on time and are a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond: while filling cracks around our house with cement to prevent pest entry, they noticed that there was a cracked spot on our patio so they fixed it on their own time for no charge. They guarantee their work and the entire experience has been a pleasure. read more

Hired them for an ant problem in the bathroom after getting quotes from others and they had the best price. Our technician Nathan was very courteous, especially with acknowledgement to our pets. He made sure he was thorough and the spray covered all the areas it needed to. He made sure to let me know when it was safe to go back in the infested area after spraying and when it could be cleaned. Problem is solved now but if there's any more in the future I will definitely be hiring them again. read more

I've never felt the need to write a review of a pest control company but that's probably because no one company has ever impressed me as much as this small, local company. After moving into a new rental, we found we had basically every pest possible that needed to be eliminated. From Adrian and the rest of the "rat crew" to the guys who took care of the ants, spiders and mosquitoes, we have never been disappointed. I often have to speak with an answering service but Vanessa always gets back to me same day and I can usually get someone here within a day or 2 of my initial call. So far they've set traps, bait stations, sprayed (organic of course) and repaired all of the various openings around the foundation and even on the roof where the vermin are getting in. They have quickly become a favorite in a world full of service providers who can too often be unreliable, hard to get a hold of, unprofessional, or just plain ineffective. Thanks Prolific, we'll probably see you this week! LOL read more

I couldn't have been happier with the service I received from Prolific Pest Control. My house was infested with ants - kitchen, living room, closets, bathrooms - they were everywhere. I had to take everything out of my kitchen drawers and cupboards, because the ants had gotten into everything. They were also in my clothes closet and my sofa. I had not used any pest control service in the past, despite an almost yearly ant invasion - but this year it was worse than ever, most likely due to the extreme heat in Pasadena. Jesse was kind enough to explain everything in detail, which was very helpful because I am very sensitive to chemicals, and I have two delicate birds inside the house. He did a thorough investigation around the exterior of the house, including removing all webs, and then he treated the ants. There was no odor at all. Just as he said, after a few stragglers, within two days all of the ants were completely gone! I hadn't realized how much I was compensating for the ants every time I was preparing food in the kitchen until they were all gone! What a relief! I would highly recommend this company - and will definitely have them back again if and when the need arises! read more

The last week of July, with the multiple days of heat, our house was overrun by ants. I don't mean ants around the window or a line of ants from the door to a food store, I'm talking horror movie version of ants!! I called Prolific. They gave me a fair quote and were able to come out the next day. They did very little spraying inside but treated the entire parameter of the house and found two ant nests that they baited. I was told I should see no new live ants with in 2 to 4 days. I was skeptical but hopeful. Here we are one week later and I have not seen a single ant in the last four days! I am amazed and so grateful. Obviously, I would highly recommend them! Thank you Prolific! read more

Can't say enough about how good this team was. After an initial timing confusion the office bent over backwards to accommodate us. Aleks, on arrival, was immediately impressive with his knowledge, enthusiasm, and keenness to get the job done right. Two weeks after the initial job they even came back when some pesky critter had dug down and found another way into the basement (design fault of this old house, no way it could have been anticipated initially). No additional charge. Highly recommended! read more
