Any of the flavors of their danishes are a safe bet too, as they're seriously delicious, and we crave them often. We've tried a couple of their lunch options and some other pastries and would probably pass on those next time. Their scones tend to be on the dry side. Their coffee is good, though they don't offer many specialty flavor options if that's what you're looking for. We're still mourning two of our all-time favorites that have been discontinued: the homemade donuts every Sunday and the mushroom toast. Birchwood, please bring them back!

Lots of toppings and sauces to choose from as well. Staff is friendly and service is pretty quick. It does get quite busy here at times, and the parking lot is tiny, which means you might have to go across the street to park. While that's not a big deal for most people, being handicapped, it's a big downside for me, especially since you'd need to cross a very high-traffic street. This is why I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5. They do have an inside area where you can order as well, but you cannot sit/dine inside. There are a few picnic tables outside that you can use, but they also fill up quickly. Inside, you can also buy things like ice cream cakes, fudge, candy and other treats. It's a little bit of a trek for me, but I will definitely be swinging by anytime. I am in the area. Definitely worth checking out!

Im not one to leave reviews but......i went to the new beef barn ive heard very good things about there food never had it in my life thought tonight would be a good night to try it.....me and my girlfriend put in our order mind you it was for take out my girlfriend was not feeling well and didn't want to stay in. Place was packed so i knew it was going to be a wait...but we waited and waited and waited and waited the owner came by to asked if we ordered we said yes she came back 20 minsutes later asked if we got our order we said no explained to her we were waiting for a while .they stated your the next order ok so we wait and wait the waitress said im the next order again at that point im starving so i asked for a refund and the waitress said wait ill get the manager which the manager never came over. So we finally got out food and left when i went to go eat my food it was not what i expected the steak and cheese very bland. My girlfriend took my roastbeef sandwich by accident so i had her chicken cutlet let me tell you it was not chicken it was fish good thing my girlfriend did not eat it shes allergic to fish... while i was waiting for my food i saw at least 2 tables walk out due to the wait they need to pay attention.... all and all i wont be back read more

The roast beef is great. The burgers are just as good. The hotdogs are fantastic. The chicken and the salads and everything else is worth the trip. The waitstaff is attentive and quick. This is the kind of place that you can visit as often as you like and never get bored. Just mix it up with the menu and you will always be satisfied. In the cold winter months I would suggest a little hot beef gravy on the side. Mmmm....... What the heck you could even put the gravy on the fries too.
