My mom loves going out to breakfast, and I love trying new places. This is how I ended up at bacon…read moren beanz. There is a large parking lot in the back of the building. We entered through the back door since we saw others had and it was opened to allow fresh air in. All the booths hugging the wall were taken so we seated at the middle tables (but also offered the bar area). Their menu isn't too big, which made my decision easier and they had plates that have a little bit of everything which I loved. My mom had the MO which came with two eggs, home fries, toast, and four bacon and I ended up going with the little lady which included one egg, one sausage, one bacon, home fries (beans or fruit are other options), and I chose grilled English muffin as my bread. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be enough food but it was more than enough. The eggs was cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy. The sausage was flavorful and tender. The potatoes were unique and one of the best I've ever had. They were short sticks that could've been lightly fried or maybe grilled, I wasn't sure. But the flavor and consistency/texture were amazing. The French toast was really good, thick and eggy. A sprinkle of cinnamon would've been perfect. I will be coming here more often. Prices are really good and the staff is very kind and attentive.

I like my potatoes crispy like that so it didn't bother me, but my grandma would have sent them back. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food as well. A breakfast for 5 came out to be $100 before. Which I felt was reasonable but a little pricier compared to other breakfast locations. Would I come back? Sure! I would just want to try some other options as their menu was expansive.

The meatball came with lots of sauce and ricotta with 2 toasted bread slices (we devoured every bit!). For dinner we shared 2 entrees, we got the seafood casserole which came with choice of side (we picked baked potato) and a vegetable medley, and the southern fried pork chops that came with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. The food was so delicious we ate what we could and had to bring food home. Our server was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. This was one of the best places we've tried in a while. We eat out at least weekly and most places we don't go back for a second visit, but Lucky Dog Tavern will definitely stay on our rotation of places we love.

Tonight, critically acclaimed server turned bartender Lilly, suggested that I try to Sausage and Bean Soup. Not only does she rank amongst the top three servers I have ever had in my entire life but she was 100% right about the Sausage and Bean soup. Get your car drive to Lucky Dog Tavern and all the time you're on your way there cross your fingers that the Sausage and Bean Soup is on the menu. It was beyond excellent. Just a giant mouthful of flavors expertly orchestrated. Otherwise, It's a gigantic gigantic menu but if the Sausage & Bean Soup is on the special absolutely have it. Take one home with you too. Before I forget to tell you everything on the menu is pretty excellent. But, Just for the record, I skipped over the lasagna. Have I ever lied to you!?
