Went after seeing the reviews on Yelp. The sushi was great quality and fresh. The menu had many choices for those who don't like sushi. We were a party of 4. One person had scallion pancakes and California roll. The scallion pancakes were nice and fluffy and greasy. Two of us had sushi. I had the spicy Bad Girl I was so full from it. My husband had a hand roll and spicy tuna roll. The last person in our group had the teriyaki chicken with white rice and miso soup. Everything tasted perfect. Not sure why I waited so long to try Fuji, but my wife and I love this place. The inside has a large bar and plenty of booth seating as well. Staff is friendly and attentive. The sushi is excellent. And they have the beat mai tai around if you like what I can only describe as a Caribbean style mai tai, plenty of flavor but still packs a punch. read more

Enjoyed an excellent Christmas Day dinner and first time experience at Fuji yesterday! Parking is ample with big parking spaces for easy in and out. The welcoming lobby was festively decorated with a fun Christmas Tree in addition to a lovely faux Cherry Blossom tree. We were seated at a very comfortable and spacious booth table and perfectly attended to by our server- bartender Bee! The fusion Japanese-Thai inspired menu offers many choices and be sure to ask the host or server for the separate Chinese menu for even more wonderful selections. We started with a perfectly mixed Mai Tai, an order of pan fried pork Gyoza and also the tempura vegetables, both served with an excellent soy based dipping sauce. Beautiful and taste stimulating! My husband ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and I chose the Crispy Tangerine Beef from the separate Chinese menu. Both dishes were superb! The Pad Thai was balanced and tangy as was my crisp fried outside, tender inside Tangerine Beef with properly caramelized citrus peel. Veggies in both dishes were tender crisp. The restaurant had a nice bar crowd and the music was fun and featured a mix of lively Asian pop and classic American pop. Our service by Bee was excellent, with drinks filled, plates removed and the check presented in a timely fashion. We could not have asked for a better first impression or a more satisfying meal made with quality ingredients! Well worth the price! Fuji opened on Diamond Hill Rd in Woonsocket recently next door to Papa Gino's. If it looks like a Pizza Hut, resembles a Pizza Hut redone inside, then it was a Pizza Hut over a decade ago. The place was redone with booths along the windows and a full service U shaped bar with seating in the center of the open room. Fuji offers Japanese cuisine including hibachi meals, noodles, soups, appetizers, desserts. plus a sushi bar and a full service bar. The bar serves up bottled beers, wines, sake, cocktails, martinis, juices, tea, and non-alcoholic drinks. I stopped by Fuji for lunch recently. The place was moderately busy with mostly groups of middle aged folks including a few hammered dudes. I took a seat up at the bar for prompt service. I ordered the Lunch Bento Box ($15 plus tax) and chose teriyaki grilled salmon (with sauteed onions & peppers), with a side salad with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and yum yum dressing, white rice, California roll (3 pc), gyoza (2 pc). The food came out promptly, salad first, then bento box. The food was delish and the portion was just right. I also saw the hibachi plates ordered by other customers near me, which were generous with grilled meats and lots of fried rice. The check for my lunch was $16.20 with tax and before tip. Overall, Fuji was a good choice for a tasty lunch with a loud atmosphere. read more

Ordered takeout and received a pickup time of 6:38. We arrived at 7:00 and it was not ready. No apology or acknowledgment of any issue. Finally ready at 7:24 and when I mentioned how late it was the worker smiled, giggled, and walked away. Really poor service. read more

Delivery order was missing an item. I called to inform them of the missing item. I was told that they could not deliver the missing item to me as they "don't do refunds". "Just this one time they could credit my account for next time". Refusing a refund when they made the mistake is outrageous! They've lost all future business from my family! read more

Visiting from California and saw this pop up on yelp so I decided to see what the fuss was all about. We started with the Edamame, then had the Tonkatsu ramen. The broth was very tasty and the pork cooked to perfection. We then got the sushi boat. All fish were fresh and tasty . Five stars for the food. I gave four stars for the service. We were there on a Wednesday night and although the server was very nice, service was a bit slow. All in all 4.5 stars which in my opinion is great. I definitely would recommend this restaurant and it will be a normal stop on my yearly visits to RI. read more

Decided to bring a group with me and try as many sushi rolls as possible. I don't even know where to start. Service is decent. They were a little short staffed 1 waitress for the whole place and the bar is going to make service a little slow. That aside the food was amazing. We ordered a bunch of sushi (18 rolls if you want the specific number we tried) not a single one was bad. Everyone loved everything. Edamame was a little salty for me but everyone else enjoyed it. The star of the night was the Golden lady. If you love mango you need to go order one. For a former Pizza Hut location in Woonsocket I was pretty amazed. Went to Fuji Woonsocket RI for an early weekday dinner, this was my first time trying the new place since it opened. The remodel of the former pizza hut was very nice, cozy. The owner and the bartender were very warm and friendly and took time to chat and explain anything on the menu. I got a mango mai tai, I thought was very tasty and refreshing. I also ordered Shrimp Pad Thai, the noodles were done just right for my liking and the shrimp were extra large, there were 3 on top and one hidden in the noodles, 4 shrimp was plenty, this was also served with 3 slices of an extremely fresh orange, a very nice presentation. I also ordered tuna roll and salmon roll plate and came with 6 pieces each, again freshly made. The restaurant was extremely clean and comfortable. Price was comparable to any Shushi / Pan Asian good restaurant. Very nice place, very nice owners. Service was terrific. I will return soon and will make this a regular stop. read more

Sushi is great here! Travel over an hour to get sushi here. Some of the sushi is interesting the ones with no rice are excellent! Also the one with mango sort of taste like mochi. Beware some of the drinks could be extremely sweet but don't taste bad or tell them to make it less sweet tempura is also great! read more
