My mom loves going out to breakfast, and I love trying new places. This is how I ended up at bacon n beanz. There is a large parking lot in the back of the building. We entered through the back door since we saw others had and it was opened to allow fresh air in. All the booths hugging the wall were taken so we seated at the middle tables (but also offered the bar area). Their menu isn't too big, which made my decision easier and they had plates that have a little bit of everything which I loved. My mom had the MO which came with two eggs, home fries, toast, and four bacon and I ended up going with the little lady which included one egg, one sausage, one bacon, home fries (beans or fruit are other options), and I chose grilled English muffin as my bread. I was a bit worried it wouldn't be enough food but it was more than enough. The eggs was cooked perfectly. The bacon was crispy. The sausage was flavorful and tender. The potatoes were unique and one of the best I've ever had. They were short sticks that could've been lightly fried or maybe grilled, I wasn't sure. But the flavor and consistency/texture were amazing. The French toast was really good, thick and eggy. A sprinkle of cinnamon would've been perfect. I will be coming here more often. First timers here. We went on a Friday morning at about 9am, it was not busy, a few people. When we left though it started getting busier. Our was waitress was great! It has a full liquor license but we only drank hot coffees. Breakfast was actually very good. I am not a huge breakfast person I just prefer a breakfast sandwich but what we got was tasty! Popped in for breakfast and no seats available which in itself tells you how good this restaurant is. My husband got an egg and meat wrap that he could only eat half of; but he said it was great. I got a muffin and that was good. Why not 5 stars? Well "home fries" are actually French fries and we saw them on a plate before we ordered so my husband did ask about them. He was told they resembled a photo that was on was; not true. They were French fries. They were also out of numerous items that we tried to order which is good; obviously everyone ordered it, and bad because you should be sure to have enough for breakfast on a Saturday. Just left Bacon n Beanz after having a delicious filling breakfast! The atmosphere: not quite a bar, not quite a diner... somewhere in between. Comfortable and not buzzy loud. We sat at the bar (which we usually do wherever we go). I was SO fascinated by the bar surface (it's the little things, ya know) it was COVERED end-to-end with PENNIES! I loved that- very different from anywhere else we've been. The service: TOP notch- our servers were very attentive... we never had to wait or ask for anything; coffee and waters filled right away and very pleasant demeanors; friendly and laid back (while being efficient getting things done). The food: I had a mushroom and cheese omelette (a 4 egg omelette- big and super delicious... FILLING) with wheat toast (the way I like it- a little on the dark side... just PERFECT) and potatoes (which I usually don't get but as a first timer I had to try them)... which were pretty much cut up potatoes with a little salt. Another Saturday and another breakfast spot to seek out. I would like to start by saying I'm impressed. This restaurant has a breakfast bar that seats approximately 15+- people and approximately 5 booths for an additional 20 persons Not huge - But Big in the experience and food prepared while I stood waiting for a booth to open up (15 minutes ) I observed this well organized open kitchen. There were two people cooking and a dishwasher. The people cooking take pride and put out beautiful plates. The waitresses were always busy everyone worked together. Brittney was our server - after mentioning how wonderful their food is, for some reason a couple of pictures of our meals didn't come out to show you here My guest ordered the Big Boy scrambled eggs, two bacon, two sausage, two pancakes or French toast with warmed maple syrup homefries, and toast. They said their meal was good. I ordered the meat lovers omelette one of my go to. It was perfect very fluffy, one of the fluffiest omeletttes I've had. I prefer a fluffy omelette compared to an omelet made on a flat top grill My meal was great, in fact I couldn't even finish it. What a great little breakfast place! Exactly what you would want to see from an old fashioned diner style restaurant. It felt quaint inside and very clean and organized. The staff is thoroughly welcoming and makes you feel happy to be there. The menu is diverse enough with a few adorable options like "Peppa Pig" and "Eeny" "Meeny" "Miny" and "Mo." The meals are good sized and we took some of ours home. We had "Big Boy" and "Veggie Lovers Omelette" (minus the onions). Great place to go for a good breakfast and for a touch of simpler times. I had french toast an it was ok. ordered extra crispy bacon and thats how I got it. I can say my mom had a side of 'fresh' fruit and it didn't look so fresh or appetizing. But the cooked food- I would eat again. My daughter ordered one cinnamon swirl pancake and it was as large as the plate. She declared it didn't need syrup it was so sweet. Breakfast here today. I have been here a few times in the last few years and the only reason for not coming more often is long wait time at busy times. Restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Waitresses are constantly serving and work well together to not only serve, but clean tables. Place was busy and there were a few couples waiting as the dining room is on the small side. Service today was quck enough, food was good, homefries were tasty. I had chorico with eggs, and the order had three good size pieces. A little on the spicy side but I'm all about spicy. There is counter service and today it was full making it a little tight. It's a good sign when there are people waiting to go in, but for me, there are plenty of breakfast places with little or no waiting . There is a parking lot at the side and rear with another entrance to the restaurant from the lot. There is also street parking on both sides. I went for breakfast and arrived at 9:30am, the cooking breakfast smell in the parking lot told me that this was going to be a good experience. The coffee was prompt and perfect. I sat at the end of the bar dining area and had the opportunity to watch the kitchen in action. The kitchen was super clean, orderly, and to my amazement, no words between all the kitchen help. It seemed like everyone knew what to do and in perfect order. I ordered the "Mo" plate with ham and Italian toast. It arrived perfectly cooked, and presentation was flawless. I was really impressed with the lack of standard idle chit chat by the servers. leaving me with the impression that this was a well-oiled machine, and it was. got up too late for free hotel breakfast so I picked up my sister and we went here :-) got in a little after noon got settled up front by the window. michaela got us coffeed right off and came back for our order. sis had some massive omelette and taters and I chose a porky benedict (sub crunchy bacon for canadian) plus taters and a side of beans on recommendation. the benedict was well executed with hollandaise covering a soft, poached eggs set on lightly a buttered muffin. cubed seasoned taters are hard to wreck and weren't and the beans were phenomenal; diminutive beans baked soft and sweet with bits of meats and BBQ sweet. so good :-) read more

I hadn't been here since it was classic cafe and after stopping by Howie's (Mother's Day) and being told it was buffet only @24 pp, we drove here. My son has a severe peanut/treenut allergy and while they're not the most allergy friendly (they use walnuts and basically the whole grill is contaminated), they were able to accommodate him by making a pancake for him in a separate pan. My husband had the Eggs Benedict. I didn't try it but he loved it. The corn beef hash had real corned beef rather than the canned dog food like rubbish that most places serve. The home fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Basic Belgium waffle but tasty. It was a little over $30 for the 3 of us to eat. Better than the typical greasy spoon. read more
