I sent my son in to order one large lobster sandwich for me and a large BLT for himself. When he came out with the receipt it didn't look right. The large lobster was $25.99. They also didn't add my reward points even though my son gave them my rewards card and they subtracted $5.00 from my reward points. So I went inside and the price of the large lobster sandwich was indeed $25.99 on their menu! I go to many different D'Angelos in the area including Plainville and Foxboro ands I knew they both charge $21.99 for a large lobster. When I asked the staff, who were very courteous, what the uncharge in price from other Dangelos, they said that this one on Mansfield is a privately owned franchise so they can set their own prices. And that they did- a nearly 20% uncharge from the other area Dangelos. That's excessive and not acceptable. The owner of this franchised Dangelos knows he is hiding among the other Dangelos and their usual lower prices. As a result, customers think they know what the usual prices are and don't look at the menu. You fooled me once. I won't be back. And they charge more for their other sandwiches as well, not just the large lobster.
Also, this privately owned Dangelos franchise in Mansfield, MA does not accept any coupons (texted, emailed, or online form Dangelos) nor does it accept online ordering.
Everyone should be aware of the fleecing they are getting from this privately owned franchise. It's not a real Dangelos, in my opinion, if they can charge whatever they want and not accept promotions from the Dangerous corporation. Dangelos should not allow these private franchises to exist. It's deceptive. At the very least they should have to post a sign that lets customers know they charge higher prices and don't accept coupons or promotions from the Dangelos corp. read more
