Tried Hangar 12 again. First time it wasn't that impressive, today it was worse. Simple breakfast order: two eggs over easy toast and bacon. Eggs ok, one slice of toast was toasted slightly the other slice was not really toasted at all. Huge disappointment was the bacon. It was cold and needed either a sharper knife or I need to up my gym time to get through a slice. It was very tough. My mum had similar disappointment with her sausage. The sausage (more like a patty) was super greasy and she didn't like them at all. She also had the home fries and they were just ok. Windows were really dirty which I guess I can understand with wind of the small planes flying around. The staff was not great, it wasn't even good. $30 for 2 orders of eggs over easy, toast, 1 order of bacon (extra charge) and 1 order of sausage (extra charge) and one tea ($4.50 crazy). Totally not worth it. Gave it a second chance and there won't be a third. Great concept but poorly executed. The best thing they had was good 70s, 80s music. That was the highlight. read more

My favorite hometown breakfast and lunch haunt it is at the Mansfield Municipal Airport it's open 7 days a week from 7am-1:30 there is both indoor and outdoor seating. The food and coffee are great The service is prompt and very friendly. The ambiance is usually good though the building is an echo chamber with high ceilings so it can get noisy when it's busy during peak hours. read more

You would never know this place existed as it is inside the Mansfield Municipal Airport hangar, how fun! Breakfast is the way to go here but lunch is good too. The Crystal Cloud French Toast and Magical Pancakes are both delicious. The homemade corned beef hash is hearty and yummy. Service is friendly and efficient. A bonus of this experience is that you can watch small planes taking off and landing. There are not many places that come with such unique entertainment. read more

Went with a friend for breakfast. Not a ton of parking but we found a spot. Quoted 15 min wait but more like 30 and were seated at counter. It was was okay but I'm short and chairs were really high and it was tight quarters so we were kinda squished in with our neighbors. I would have preferred a table but didn't really want to wait much longer. We started with Arnold Palmer and an iced coffee. I wish they offered flavored ice coffe but they just have regular and nitro brew. It was okay. Our server was really nice and offered recommendations. We opted to split the breakfast burrito and brioche French toast with banana and strawberries. Both delicious, huge portions. I would definitely return. What an amazing breakfast place. Stopped by on a Saturday morning and the place was crowded. Thankfully, there was a seat open at the counter. Had an outstanding french toast breakfast that was tasty and wonderful! The bacon was crispy and perfectly cooled to my liking. I stumbled across this place on Yelp and can honestly say what a find! It was a busy Saturday Morning and the host seated us quickly while thanking us for visiting. We were immediately greeted by Nick our server (as in within 30 seconds) who brought us piping hot coffee, ice water and and orange juice. Nick took our order and our food arrived piping hot and cooled to perfection. This is not a greasy spoon type restaurant! I ordered corned beef hash with my eggs and received authentic corned beef hash (as in hand trimmed cooked corned beef separated with hash shredded potatoes freshly cooked in a skillet!). Very fair price. Outstanding service. Great food. We have found that most any restaurant at an airport offers this level of service - however Hangar 12 exceeded our expectations! Got eggs Benedict, they serve them on portuese rolls... really good. The hollandaise sauce was good. The eggs were poached nicely. They put some scallions on top for extra flavor and a prettier presentation. Delicious My friend got 3 egg omelet, cooked to perfection. Fluffy, veggies inside were right size. She didn't need a knife. The cheese was inside and melted throughout (not on top, which is lazy and doesn't taste as good) We also got Banana pancakes. Oh My God. They were devine! The banana part was like biting into home made banana bread... the kind gramma used to make, warm, a taste of home, comfort and loving memories. Man, I tell you there's nothing like stumbling on not just a hidden gem but an overall absolutely amazing experience. Hangar 12 is a beautiful open kitchen family restaurant with an insane menu....no believe me you'll want EVERYTHING!!! They serve breakfast all day. There is seasonal outdoor seating and views of various airplanes on the field ( if you're lucky, you just may witness a takeoff or landing ) Everyone was extremely friendly. Taylor, our server, was nothing short of amazing, making suggestions for us to make our meal even better. The white chocolate cold brew was fantastic!! Food came hot and so so good! Portions are perfect for the price. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back. What's also cool is there is a trail about half a mile away on the left. My wife, friends, and I enjoyed that as well walking all the way to the end ( the center of town in Mansfield) and back. It's a nice walk, be prepared.. Jess, get a new personality. I will never return because of you, your attitude, unkindness and unwelcoming demeanor. A family member from Australia wanted to try Hangar 12. We are an interracial family and it was very clear from the start our waitress, Jess didn't like us. We had inquired the food items on the menu due to my older daughter with a food allergy, and she was VERY annoyed that we had questions. When she answered with, "I don't know it says dairy on the bread, all bread" with her eyes rolling, I knew I couldn't ask her anymore questions (Jess, in case you didn't know, bread doesn't list "dairy" on packaging but instead the ingredients, such milk, butter, etc). When my younger daughter's side order didn't come out, we asked about it. Silly me, how dare I question that. Jess said in exact words, "I had already asked earlier if you needed anything else" WITH THE WORST ATTITUDE I had ever encountered in a food business industry. I was completely taken back and had to let her know that I'm telling her now because it never came out when food was being served. The proper and professional response should be have been an apology and something along the line, "let me look into that now" or "I will grab that" My breakfast was completely ruined. My family and I will make sure to share our poor experiences to friends and family. This was another wake up call to why we don't go to Hangar 12. I do want to give kudos to the older gentleman who was the owner and apologized for the experience after we had shared what occurred. We left Jess a 15% tip that I personally do not think she deserves. But if she had given better service, we would matched a way higher tip as we normally do. Went to this restaurant for the first time today. My wife and I arrived at 1:05 and requested a table from the hostess. She checked with someone inside the restaurant and informed us they were closing early today, so sorry . The sign in front of the restaurant prominently states the hours are 7-2. The kitchen closes at 1:30. A restaurant decides to change their operating hours on the fly! A first for me ... I will not return and will make it a point to pass on my experience to others. read more

Wow! My granddaughter and I had the pleasure of visiting Hanger 12 on last Friday . We walk in and The Hostess's greet us with a huge smile. Along with Wade not sure if he was The Owner or Manager. Loved this place. Cool view of the planes and the ambiance is Friendly feels like you're family here. Good varied menu, lots of choices (we had breakfast). Breakfast burrito, magical pancakes, breakfast sandwich and an order of cloud 9 french toast to split....I didn't want to share this as soon as I tasted it! Food safety should always be important in the restaurant business. When you have an open kitchen, you're putting it on display. One of the cooks, within 30 minutes time was eating in the kitchen, picking his teeth, cracking eggs, handling bread, and placing cooked bacon on customers plates. This happened without any hand washing, but he was wiping his hands on a dirty towel that he was also wiping customer's plates with. None of this is ok or safe. It's ok to not wear gloves in the kitchen however this is an example of the wrong way. read more

Hidden away in the woods here in Mansfield I found the hangar. I guess with the name I should have expected an air theme. I sat at the bar and enjoyed some great service for helpful and friendly staff. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with ham and the shredded home fries. They also offer the chunky home fries. I also had to try the home made corned beef hash. The food was good for breakfast. The potatoes were perfectly shredded and cooked to have that crunch I like to get. They were under seasoned and needed salt and pepper but that's actually fine for me and my buddies with high blood pressure. The coned beef was good but again I would have appreciated some onion or peppers or something added to them. The egg sandwich was good as well - I ordered it on an English muffin which came not toasted. My fault for not asking for it that way. A good breakfast spot.
