We ordered on grubhub and meant to order from the North Smithfield location, since we were there. I went inside to pick up the order and they advised they did not have it and that I must have ordered from Bellingham, so I headed over there. We ordered the fish sandwich special and the steak and cheese special. Making it a special adds fries and a salad. My fish sandwich was very good. The fries and salad are a small portion, but for the price it makes sense and is the portion size we should be eating anyways. I really liked their fries, crispy but not burnt. My daughter had the steak and cheese and said it was very good. It small, I would not recommend for someone with a bigger appetite. The salad on the other hand was not good, the salad tasted unwashed. Overall though, the pricing was good , the food was good (other than the salad) and we would go again. read more

Sandwich and fries are good quick bite to eat ! Service is good too! Prices are not bad .

We were coming off the Blackstone Bike Trail and needed something to eat. A local search found The Beef Barn. Seriously, The Beef Barn. With a name like that can't pass it up. 2 roast beef sandwiches, fries, a shake and an iced tea, under $30. I'd have paid twice as much. It was really good. Really good. That's not a typo, I wrote it twice. The Beef Barn is worth a drive from anywhere! read more

Everyone in the restaurant is very nice and enthusiastic. Price is reasonable with the amount of food. Good restaurant in the neighborhood.

This fun barn shaped restaurant has the best roast beef sandwiches on hot buttered toasted rolls! Don't forget to order a side of au jus for dipping! read more

I preferred the older beef barn. New location higher prices and different menu. No thanks

Went with my husband for a quick bite after a dr appointment. The waitress was attentive and the food was served fast. My pastrami sandwich was overflowing, so much so I had to share with my husband. His roast beef sandwich was cooked to his liking. Fries were good and price was worth for what we got. Love the whole theme of farmhouse. Will be back. read more

Went for the first time yesterday. Our waitress Krista made the experience just wonderful. She went way out of her way to make sure we left as happy future customers. She is a true asset to that restaurant. Kevin B. read more

Great spot for an excellent lunch. Roast beef melted in my mouth. Fries were the perfect crisp. Salad with house dressing was excellent. Looking forward to my next meal here. And the price is right. read more

I go to the one in Bellingham once in a while for take out. Cannot beat the value paid for the quality of sandwiches. I usually get roast beef or pastrami and sandwiches have large portion of meat and very tender. You can add toppings (onions, cheese, mushrooms, etc)for a bit extra. Lines can be long, but move very fast...well organized system to place order/pay. read more

Beef Barn is the best! Excellent food, service, pricing and friendly atmosphere. The staff is so friendly that they feel like family and friends. There great food can beat fast food speed, pricing and taste any day. Good place for a business lunch, and now they have beer and wine. read more

Excellent food / service / price just wow so good wish I lived closer but worth the drive Got to try the hot dog and cheese burger with pastrami sand read more

Very casual and busy restaurant, but quick table turnaround. Prices are from the 1980's. Primarily a sandwich and burger shop with shakes, salads and limited beer and wine selection. My party of 4 had lunch on Saturday afternoon. We ordered Roast beef sandwiches, burgers, fries, homemade chips and a shake. The sandwiches and burgers are basic, but you can add on bacon, mushrooms and cheese in addition to lettuce, onion and tomato served on a soft toasted bun. Delicious pickles are served on the side. Burgers were nicely charred, and roast beef was delicious with homemade sauce. Our bill was $24. read more

Excellent food, excellent, friendly service and amazing prices! Cute, clean establishment. My only complaint is that it was a cold rainy day and they seemed to have had the air conditioning on, which made it quite cold and uncomfortable. I'll definitely go back and plan on telling friends and family about this place! Well worth it. read more

Place is awesome. Steak sandwich and the classic roast beef are my go-tos here though everything is good. Burger, chicken cutlet (like a chicken patty), you can't go wrong. Smother everything in their house-made sauce. I've literally ordered pints of their sauce to take home it's so good. Highly recommend and great prices! read more

Its a barn that sells good food at reasonable places. Love this place. How do they not have a jingle. Stop reading and go.

Went on a Sunday a bit past noon. They were very ready to serve me. A roast beef sandwich, fries and a soda were in my hand in 5 minutes max. Good food served quickly at a fair price is ALWAYS a good thing. The sandwich was terrific, the fries were also good. Modest portions, not excessively huge. Easy parking, helpful employees, what more do you want? read more

10/10 every thing is perfect and delicious!! You'll never get a better deal anywhere else I can't recommend it enough. The roast beef is huge and during lobster season they have great rolls read more

This place is super special. It's not like anywhere else. I am a child in an adult body so I LIVE for the grilled cheese. I usually get two! It's not a typical restaurant. They have lots of finger foods and everything is really simple. And everything is SO FRIGGIN GOOD. My boyfriend almost always gets the steak sandwich, which is thin cut ribeye. YUM. I always get a smorgasbord of treats - grilled cheese, chicken fingers, side salad (their house Italian dressing is super yum), usually French fries. I almost always leave with dessert (Boston cream pie is my fav!) If left to my own devices, I would only ever eat here. I was dog sitting in Bellingham for the weekend once and got takeout from here four times in three days. No regrets - would do it again. Super inexpensive. Super yummy. I'm Beef Barn's biggest Super Fan. read more

Amazingly quick service!!!! I ordered the steak sandwich and it did not disappoint. Steak so tender you can bite right through it. The fries were hot and crispy. My friend ordered roast beef and said "it basically melts" it's so good. So after I finished my steak sandwich, I got a roast beef. It really does melt in your mouth it's so tender. To my delight, they have coke products. I loved everything about this place. Bonnie was absolutely fantastic in getting our order out fast since we were so hungry. I can not recommend this place enough! It would be a shame for you not to eat here. read more

Had a slice of blueberry pie on a prior visit. Wife loved it, so we ordered two whole pies for holidays, one apple and one blueberry. Reasonably priced, homemade, picked up and they were still warm. Crust was great, while filling was from a can, still good. read more

Being familiar with the Beef Barn in North Smithfield, I had no idea that TWO of these gems existed! As much I like the North Smithfield one, I think their Bellingham, Mass. location is even better. I recently changed employers, and like my former coworker, John, my new coworker, Bernie, doesn't bring a lunch to work. Bernie and I finished a job nearby around 1:45 Monday afternoon, and he drove to this Beef Barn. Now, I had already packed a lunch, but it's tough to resist the Beef Barn's siren song ... what to do? Bernie had an easy solution to my dilemma: "Make your lunch (that you packed) your dinner." Right on, Bernie! This location has a similarly rustic-looking building, but their parking lot is larger and easier to negotiate. It also seems a bit roomier inside, and had a laid-back vibe, with 70s and 80s music playing at an appropriate volume. Service was friendly; the young woman who waited on us at the counter always had a smile, unlike the typical employee at a fast-food chain. Our food was ready just a quickly as a fast-food chain, although the quality between Beef Barn and a chain is no comparison. Their beef melts in your mouth, and their fries are hot and crispy. The menu is simple, but has an impressive array of choices of sandwiches, sides and even desserts. But the best thing about Beef Barn (well, besides the beef) is that it is a great value. I got two very generous roast beef sandwiches, fries, soda and Boston cream pie (which appeared homemade!), for a very reasonable $12. Honestly, just one sandwich would have been enough, because I was almost overstuffed eating two (then my bill would have easily been under $10). As Bernie and I walked out to our truck, he summed up the Beef Barn experience in just two words: "Happy belly!" read more

OK, first the negative. The silo attached to the building IS NOT, in fact, filled with gravy. Once past that shattering disappointment everything else was great! Burgers have nice grill marks and great taste. Steak sandwich was tender and tasty. Shake was thick and delicious. Very inexpensive, but as some have mentioned they do charge for tomato, lettuce, etc. If it lets them keep costs down, I can live with that. Wish I lived closer, and...you know, the gravy thing, but all in all a great place that I look forward to stopping in when I'm in the area. read more

Eh...i don't see the big deal, over priced for a hamburger bun sandwich. Just go across the street and buy from the pizza place

Set your expectations appropriately - this isn't the Top of the Hub; it's better! The menu is diverse enough that everyone should be able to find something, the staff is friendly and attentive, prices are extremely reasonable and while I've only been there once (so far!), everything I tried was delicious. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, but this time I'm bringing a hammer and chisel for the ridiculously thick shake! read more

The best roast beef sandwich is so delicious. I have been going there 20+ years. Always the most delicious roast beef sandwich

Food: Delicious! Filet mignon sub had amazing flavor. Cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, and bacon was crispy! The fries were also crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Not a shareable size tho so make sure to get your own! Milkshakes are thick and awesome! The peanut butter pie cake was soooo good! So good I didn't want to share! Service: Very friendly! And quick! Cost: CHEAP! My meal included a bacon cheeseburger, fries, chocolate shake, and peanut butter pie cake. My bill was $8.09. All together a great experience with good food and money still in my pocket! read more

I love this place. Everyone is so nice and have the best cheese burgers!!!! Oh and the big pickle have to have one!!!

Roast Beef Sandwich Special. Just as advertised, been eating here for 2 years. Love the roast beef, French fries and lemon ade.

They seem to be inexpensive looking to the menu until you start to add on the sides to go along to complete the sandwiches. Everything is extra So basically they strip down the sandwich to bring down the cost to suck you in and then they hit you up for the cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms So for example: That steak sandwich that's in the menu for $4.50 Sounds dirt cheap and its supposed to be a sirloin steak. It's the smallest and thinnest slice of steak on a toasted buttered roll. Add the sauté mushrooms and onions and cheese. That wimpy steak sandwich now becomes $8.00 wimpy steak sandwich. Still the smallest steak sandwich ever, even after all the add on extras Smallest portion of a small french fries I've ever had in a restaurant. The roast beef is sliced and dropped into a colander to a warming broth or au jus to warm up And then they squeeze all the juice out of the roast beef. So now the beef is dry from the moisture extraction. I guess they don't want the rolls to get all soggy but now you have to drown the sandwich with barbecue sauce or ketchup. So in reality if you pay attention at the end of the meal it wasn't really as cheap as you thought it was going to be. read more

I ask for a chicken cutlet sandwich and I got a chicken patty. Customer service was good but the food was not good at all.

How can you not love this place? The food is affordable, the roast beef is juicy and delicious and the service is always great. I treat myself to a milkshake after my meal and I leave satisfied! read more
