I ordered a pick-up order as recommended and my order was ready in about 30 minutes! I ordered two macaroni dishes, the Buffalo Chicken Mac & the Steak Mac! Both macaronis were delicious, tasted like my mom's home cooking in Virginia. I paid $29 and tipped. The buffalo chicken mac has quite a bit of buffalo sauce, breadcrumbs (not distracting from the overall taste), chicken cubes (very juicy and easy to eat! no texture issues here), a cavatappi-like macaroni, and their cheese blend. I ordered the steak mac, which is pictured. The steak mac was intensely creamy, with a stretchy cheese (12+ inches)! The steak added to the taste of the macaroni, but did not overtake the meal! I parked in their very handy, and spacious!!! parking lot, walked inside to pick up my order, and was surprised by all the ice cream flavors! A very kind young woman helped me pick up my order, and a very courteous man offered free samples of the ice cream! I tried their: graham cracker flavor, cinnamon bun, mint chocolate chip (it's green and chunky!! /pos), extreme chocolate, and smore's flavor. My favorite by far is the graham cracker flavor! The person serving ice cream is very knowledgeable and helpful, everything you expect + more in any service setting! What a helpful person! The place looks small on the outside, but it's quite spacious on the inside, with plenty of tables for seating on a semi-busy day. Please try this place out. I had driven past probably 99 times before stopping; I couldn't have expected more than what I received when I finally went. A perfect distance from the campus laundromat and franklin laundromat = perfect time to place an order during a wash and be eating by the time the dryer's on. There is a public, outdoor seating area directly across the street. Unfortunately, I came on a very rainy day and could not take advantage. Don't beat me to it! I've toured the ice cream options within 5 miles of Franklin and I'm telling you: not one was remotely memorable. Sure they might have better ambiance (shout out to Chevy's). Mac N Shake doesn't look like much from the outside, but the ice cream, the Mac and the service is top notch. I had an extreme chocolate single scoop on a cone and it was otherworldly. Ice cream sourced from local place in Attleboro, I forget the name. Went back a few days later to try the chicken tikka masala Mac, fantastic. Will absolutely be back. Drove over a half hour, because my girlfriends husband said this place was fabulous. He was not mistaken. The mac & cheese was delicious in itself, but then I made mine carbonara and my daughter had chicken Alfredo. Everything was served piping hot and the portions were fabulous. She also has a cookie dough shake, which she said was delicious. The woman who greeted us I believe was one of the owners. She was very kind and patient while we tried to figure out what we wanted. We weren't happy with a few things last time and never bothered to go back for that reason, but thought we'd try again. My favorite Mac from years ago is no longer on the menu, it was the Cajun Mac and was delicious (until they replaced the sausage with ground beef). This time around I ordered the steak and cheese Mac, my wife got the buffalo Mac, and we ordered 2 originals for the kids. I ordered online via their website and the website said it would be 20 minutes. We left the house around the time I he food would be ready and drove 5 minutes there. We were greeted pleasantly and were told it wasn't ready yet. It ended up being another 20 minutes (makes you think they didn't realize they received an online order). Getting a salad from any restaurant is hard nowadays because COVID has impacted so many food suppliers. I had the Cobb salad and it was CRISPY! The avocado was perfect.
