    Clam chowder

what a great lunch find! Some of the best clam chowder I've ever had... Lots of clams, but not overly fishy. also had the cod and chips... Highly recommend. It's a light batter not a heavy beer batter. And I always judge a fish place by their coleslaw lol. And the coleslaw was absolutely fantastic.

A cute shop that serves fish and chips and other delicious sides I wish I had room for when we were there. We had the fish & chips with Halibut and I wish I could've ordered more but we were on our way to a rehearsal dinner. Definitely the place on the island to get some delicious fried fish & all the other fried staples.

All items were made hot to order, crunchy and delightful. I'll say the size of the fish pieces are on the smaller side. The cocktail sauces is fresh and has a tangy feeling that is refreshing.

You have to try their fish and chips if you ever visit this Island - fish so fresh, aromatic and crispy on the outside. Such a minimalist setup of a store and yet classy. We picked up a box of fish and chips on our way to board the ferry and our car smelled heavenly. Definitely coming back to the island for the amazing food scene.

We flew into Friday Harbor on a Sunday morning and the town was pretty quiet. I knew I wanted seafood and saw that this place was highly recommended online! The shop itself is pretty small and unassuming, but it smells really good. It's a counter shop so you just place your order and find your own place to sit. We got a 3-piece Cod and Crab Tots; apparently they've been sold out of the Crab Tots for a while, so we were lucky to get them. I thought the Cod was excellent, probably one of the best fish and chips places I've had in the PNW. The batter was nice and light and it was obvious that the fish was freshly fried. The Crab Tots were alright... I didn't taste much crab, mostly potato. The thing I liked the most was the honey cilantro sauce that came with the tots! I would probably just get fish and chips if I came back, with that honey cilantro sauce. Next time I'd like to try the chowder :)

Came in on a saturday afternoon, and there was no wait. This small shop is very cute, with limited seating, and a small menu. I ordered the 2 peice cod fish and chips for $15. It was so tasty, it came with tartar sauce and coleslaw. The fish was so light, flakey, juicy, and crispy! The tartar sauce complain get the fish perfectly, and the coleslaw was a good touch. If you visit friday harbor, I'd highly reccomend you stop by here for lunch! Eveyrone here was friendly, and the food was amazing!

Ordering and coming fast. Slaws is fresh and not that sweet which I really like. Staffs are very nice and patient.

Our party of three visited for lunch at noon on a Thursday. Since we had a reservation, we were seated immediately at a lovely table right by the window. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were incredibly courteous and friendly throughout our meal. We initially thought about starting with some small plates, but we were so eager for seafood that we jumped straight into the entrees. We weren't disappointed: Bouillabaisse: This was our first time trying this dish, and it was the highlight for us. It was incredibly flavorful--exactly what we were craving. Spicy Prawn Mac and Cheese: It definitely lived up to its name! It wasn't "blow-your-head-off" hot, but it had a perfect, noticeable kick that really elevated the dish. Blackened Cod Tacos: These were fantastic. The cod was perfectly prepared and worked so well with the rest of the taco ingredients. We also enjoyed a couple of non-alcoholic drinks that hit the spot, though I'll admit that since I'm writing this a couple of weeks later, I forgot to snag photos or the specific names of the drinks! They also have a really nice patio area if you prefer dining outdoors. Whether you're a seafood lover or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit!

For the nature of the restaurant, we had hoped for our waitress to be more friendly and genuine. However, it felt like they just wanted to fulfill our order and be done. I ordered the South Sound Clams and Snapper Sandwich. Bathing in an umami-packed and rich Thai curry broth, the clams were tender and fresh with a bit of brine. Very good and shareable with one other person. The snapper sandwich wowed me! The bright escovitch and creamy avocado paired wonderfully with the snapper. Every bite was delightful. The house-made potato chips, however, were disappointing. They were thin, not crispy, and sticking to my teeth. If you can, substitute for fries or salad. Despite our subpar service, the delicious, well-priced food and beautiful scenery still make this the perfect date spot.

I thought the staff were all very friendly! A lot of them were actually students from Thailand, so it was really interesting getting to know and chat with them! They provided a few great tips for the area and things to do. Regarding the food, my family and I shared a few items. We shared the captain's platter, which included fried fish, scallops, prawns, calamari, and clams, as well as the rockfish, a few grilled oysters, and clam chowder. I'd say the fried platter and clam chowder were on the more underwhelming side. I think for a location that takes pride in their seafood it seemed a bit more run of the mill for me. I did however love the grilled oysters and rockfish! May consider coming back just for the oysters and view, but there are other businesses on the harbor I'd like to check out as well.

I had a side order of the onion soup and it was beyond anything I have eaten in knowing I was getting an originally made onion soup from fresh with the best ingredients. Each was a big enough serving, I had some to take home. One of my friends got the mussels in garlic sauce. The waitress made everything a joyful interaction and the chef served the food. My friend got the mussels in an individual cooking pot. What fun!
