We ordered the two piece Pacific Cod fish and chips. It's easily the best fish&chips I've had to date. The portion was generous, and everything tasted freshly made. The batter was light, airy and perfectly crispy, while the cod was tender, flaky, fried to perfection. The chips are crispy too. Overall a very satisfying meal. You need to know this is not a restaurant. It's a walk up window on the bay with some limited seating. The "aromas" by the bay make eating there a little challenging. But do it anyway. The fish and chips are incredible. Truly. And fair warning the halibut is HUGE. Two of us ordered a three piece and threw the third piece out we were stuffed. Taking away one star for the Clam chowder. The clams were fire but the chowder is the red kind not the white and that would be okay except it is full of cilantro (????) and seasoned like a Masala or Butter Indian sauce. I ordered the cod fish and chips ($25), wild salmon tacone ($10.25), and a small salad ($6.50). This is a super cute place in the inner harbor. It's right on the water between the air terminal and Victoria Kayak. Easy walk up window with friendly staff and endless fountain drinks (one of which is ice water). I went for the grilled salmon over greens and endless drink (better than bottles of water). I got the albacore tuna and tempura cod tacones which were decently priced and filling - 2 was more than enough for a nice meal. The albacore tuna was prepared medium and fresh and flavorful, and the tempura cod is nicely battered. Both shared similar ingredients like the slaw and it was hard to differentiate the different sauces. Line was long - even on Saturday 4:30pm, it was a 15 min queue and another 10 minutes for food. This is off the waterfront (walk down from the street). It's accessible with a stroller. Queue following arrows, there are some umbrellas for shade because it is quite a wait. If you are in a slow moving group, I recommend the quickest walker go ahead and wait in line while the rest catch up. We arrived about 11:00 am and probably ate around noon. We ordered: 2 piece cod fish n chips (with coleslaw), poutine, fried pickles, cup of chowder, and a Diet Coke. The Diet Coke was refillable. Cup of soup is issued immediately so nice to have while you wait - it's sort of seems like a Thai fish chowder, super good. All the food was good. I wouldn't order the poutine all the time (lol delicious drunk food) but it was nice to try! Fried pickles are sandwich slices not rounds. Kiddo liked the fish n chips. We would def come back and recommend it to anyone. Wish we had something similar in Tacoma! Wow this place is legit! We were here on a July 4th weekend, got in line around 11:20 (it wasn't too bad) and watched the line just get progressively longer. There's umbrellas along the queue so you're mostly shaded while waiting to order. The wait to order goes by somewhat slowly - in a way that feels well timed to not overwhelm the kitchen. For eating, there's counter space along the water and there's a FEW small stools to sit on underneath umbrellas. Honestly everything does look VERY good and I would definitely come back multiple times; I'd be interested in trying nearly everything on the menu! For this first visit, we got one piece of fried halibut and the poutine. The chips (fries) are VERY good. Next time I wouldn't order the poutine as a party of two because it is pretty salty and filing (maybe it makes sense to share with a larger party). I would suggest that if you have multiple people in your party, have some people go get a table while others order the food. The tables get taken pretty quick. If you don't mind standing, then there are also places to just stand and eat your food. Watch out for the seagulls because they will try to steal your food! We all got the fried halibut and chips. It is NOT a cheap meal, especially for a place that is literally to-go orders only. I had the 2 piece meal and pieces of fish are big! OMG. Was it good!!! I was super crispy on the outside and on the inside it was piping hot and cooked perfectly!! As soon as I ate it I knew I wanted more!! The pieces of fish are big hearty pieces, so even though it is a pricey meal, I was not one bit disappointed. In fact, we immediately started all saying this was literally the best fish and chips any of us have ever eaten and that this is a must-try place! The fries it came with had a batter on it and while the fries were hot, crispy and delicious, the fish was definitely the main attraction!
