This is one of the fewer food options available late, so we were fortunate to go here after a ferry delay! The downstairs lounge is 21+ but offers ample seating and a great view of the water. We were able to find a table for 6 people. The menu is limited in the lounge, but decent. I ordered a hamburger with fries. The fries were really good. I also ordered a red wine - I like that they have 6oz and 10oz options. It was very busy Friday evening, so it took quite a while to get our food. They mentioned having a small kitchen. Every visit to Orcas......I try. One time? Ordered the fish and chips. When I cut into the fish? And I'm NOT kidding, the middle part of the fish was BLUE. I told the waitress and she said "no, the kitchen temps everything". Me. Um .....NO they don't .....but you keep on believing that. The second time I ordered something it was the pot pie. The filling had ZERO flavor and tasted like it came out of a can. This week? I thought. SIGH....ok. I'll try again. I ordered the chicken wings. Now. This is probably personal preference. But, I tore off the skin trying to get away from that weird sauce. It was so sweet! Think I ate two naked pieces of chicken and called it. That all said? The restaurant is right on the water so the views are great. The staff is kind and VERY attentive. Can't say I won't try again. Maybe next time I'd try the wings without sauce. Or! I've been here a few times now since I've been on island and absolutely love the vibe and the ambience having the window seat! The food is awesome, but this review is really about Bailey! That girl! I hope they appreciate her there because she was just awesome and so hospitable and cared to our every need and was so quick with everything we wanted! Just love that girl! Terrible. Our first time visiting the 'Black Donkey' part of the restaurant and the food was terrible and way too expensive. This is very basic tavern food and they couldn't even pull that off. The beer selection was shockingly poor for a tourist town. My guess is they know people will come there b/c of the view - which is why we ended up here. We may try the regular part of the restaurant before we call it done. read more

Saw this place last year and didn't get a chance to go in. Restaurant Bar is definitely someplace I'd hang out. Locations a great view overlooking the water. Service was fantastic and both dishes were had were very good. I just loved the corned beef and cabbage. My wife really like the chicken pot pie. read more

We were really disappointed by our experience here. Our party of eight (including three young children) was seated at 7:30pm and ordered right away. We didn't receive a single item of food until after 9:00pm. There was a full hour where it seemed like no food was coming out of the kitchen for anyone in the restaurant. What made the experience especially frustrating was that we were left sitting with three hungry kids for an hour and a half and their meals, one of which was a simple pb&j and chips, weren't brought out any sooner than the adult meals. Everything, including our appetizer, arrived at the same time after the long wait. The food itself was good, but by the time it arrived the evening had been ruined. Despite the extraordinary delay, there was no acknowledgment from management or any effort to make things right. In fact, gratuity was automatically included in the bill. We understand that delays can happen but the lack of communication and consideration made this the worst restaurant service experience I've ever had. read more

One of the few restaurants that stays open past 8pm. Food is bland, my husband had the Shepherd's pie and said mine is better. I had the beer salad, and it was the worst beet salad I have ever had. This place is amazing. In fact, we come here every year when we vacation on Orcas Island at least 2-3 times per trip, so at the ferry dock, we met a really sweet couple and suggested this place and guess what- we saw them there (hi Corgi friends!) Anyhow, back to this restaurant- every single thing is delicious. We've tried everything, and you cannot go wrong because whoever runs the menu is a genius. The view is beautiful, you can see the bay and we often see eagles. Staff is fast, friendly and efficient. Portions are big, prices are fair and we've never had to wait for a table. Seriously, if you visit Orcas Island and don't eat at least one meal here, you are missing out. read more

We came here following a recommendation from one of the groundskeepers at the Orcas Hotel (shoutout to Stewart), and we were so happy we got the chance to try this place out. The views from here are the BEST. You get ocean views from corner to corner, and the vibe is super chill. We were here on a Monday evening, so it was a bit empty, but I could see this place getting super busy. It's large enough for events. We ordered: -Fish & Chips - Fiancé recommended I get this since he read it's a hit at this place, and I kind of regret it. It was good, don't get me wrong, but there were other dishes I wanted to try as well. I should have gotten the Guinness Stew, so we'll have to be back to give it another go. -Corned Beef Hash - Fiancé loved this; he says it was filling and flavorful, so if that's your thing, I'd recommend this dish. Irish Coffee--We felt like we should have just ordered these the whole time, mainly because it was closer to evening, and we were getting a bit tired from hiking earlier, so this woke us up. -Guinness and a few other beers The host and servers were all super nice and quick to help us out, but they were just not very chatty. A few people started a conversation and got quickly cut off, so this may not be the place for that. The bar was full of locals, so I can see this spot as a fun place for locals to meet up during the week. Highly recommend, if you're ever in the area. We noticed there is another restaurant with Bay views as well, but these guys are smack dab in the middle of the water views, so if you want that with a classic pub vibe, this is a good place to check out. read more

Service - The two men who juggled seating, bussing, and serving on a busy holiday weekend evening handled the crowds like pros. We waited longer for a table than we did for our food and it wasn't long. Food- top notch....super fresh, generous portions, and perfect amount of seasonings. We started with Irish rolls which basically have Ruben sandwich ingredients tucked into a fried wonton. Holy moley, we were shocked and impressed with how delicious they were! I like how they used a Dubliner cheese instead of Swiss. Then, we had the beef stew, chicken pot pie, salmon burger (big slab of salmon), and the Ruben sandwich. Ahhhhhh! We came here after being out on a whale watching tour. We were all starving. It seemed fairly busy for a Monday evening. It took our waitress a little bit of time to get our drinks out to us, but I wonder if there were just low staff and there was another larger party in the restaurant as well. The local beer I wanted to try wasn't on tap, so I was bummed about that. Food did come out quickly. It's right in the water so you can look out onto the marina. This is our second time visiting this place. We stopped in here with two of us in 2020 and it was fine. We came off of a whale watching tour and didn't have many options on places to eat because of them closing at 8 PM. This place is opened until 10 PM. We brought the entire family this time. I'm addition most pubs in Washington State do not allow minors and this is no different. Allowed inside but not for outside seating. We sat down and our waiter was nice and charming and came and visited us. We started by ordering drinks. He got to my daughter and was confused on the orange soda. Laughed and said I didn't know we had this. Came to me and I asked about the rotating seasonal beer. He said I need to check on that. Came back 5 mins later and showed me the list because he could t read it and laughed. I said I will take the Rainier. Drinks were delivered except mine. I waited patiently figured it's on its way, 5 minutes later I asked and he said oh yeah one second. Someone else delivered it. We order our food and appetizers. Not many options on the menu and everything is like $20 per item. Everyone orders and I get the cheeseburger. Finally the food arrives and he goes to the other table to deliver our food. Like I know your new but WTF you took the order and should remember the table. We had to say it's our food. It's delivered to us and I asked for ketchup and they ignored me. I waited then had to go to the bar to get the ketchup myself. In the meantime, someone in our party never got his food. The waiter said he never wrote it down. He said what can I do for you. He said it's fine but he waited and finally got it. He ended up getting it to go. Overall I'm saying that this new guy isn't cut out for this line of work. I don't know his situation and hopes it gets better. Our meal wasn't cheap at $201. I left the guy $32 tip. I don't think everyone would be as kind as I was. This review is a single star but I have the kid a 15% tip. I know all places are hurting for staff and as long as you can work is all that matters. I will not be back here again. It's a cool place to visit if the service rocks. In addition, how did I forget that he (server) took my cc and forgot to give it back to me. My kids he glanced at and said I should card you but you look 21 so remember I cut you a break. 4/5 are 21 or older. But then the 26 year old said yes, I can get drunk tonight. Haha read more

This little bar and restaurant is right in the middle of the town. A local at the island grocery store recommended we try it out if we wanted good food without the wait. He was correct. We didn't need reservations on a Saturday night and were seated right away. It was relatively busy. Three servers and a busboy were managing their time efficiently. The food was not just bar food but an assortment of great selections (see menu pic). My hubby had the tomato bisque soup (see pic). He said is was very good with a "little bite" to it.
