Quite disappointed to be honest. When I walked in I was not greeted with a friendly welcome. All they managed to mutter was "he'll take your order over there when your ready". Strike one and two in my opinion. Looking at the menu I saw a bagel dog, and I actually specifically came here for a bagel dog having the craving for literally 3 days now. The guy at the counter checks to see if there are any by asking someone I guess who knew. There's wasn't any more? It's 2pm. Then he has the nerve to say "there only good if your in the mood for them", which then the other lady that told the guy there was none, chimes in with "the pizza is good though". I tell him I specifically came for a bagel dog. He just looks at me like there's none left in the entire world let alone this very restatement or like "why would I want a bagel dog?" something like that. I reply "thanks anyways have a nice day" in a tone that was obviously unnoticed and then I walk out the inclined doorway (be careful btw)! I can't say I look forward to coming back anytime soon. TRIPLE BERRY BAGEL WITH CREAM CHEESE!!!! DO IT! I love this Ma and Pa joint! There are so many other bagel places that are SO SO skimpy with their cream cheese. The Bagel Corner ALWAYS hooks it up with an uber amount of cream cheese! LOVE! Don't forget to get an Orangina to drink. I've been coming to BC for 10 years and I have never been disappointed. Friendly and quick service (unless SHS/Palma are on lunch) this place is always a necessary stop when I visit home. The employees feel like family and the atmosphere is homey and warm with the Food Network playing round the clock. It is owned by a fairly religious family so there is scripture painted on the windows (only including if that bothers some people). But, I promise they wont try and convert you at the cash register. The menu hasn't drastically changed over the years but, it doesn't have to since everything is so good. Must haves: Santa Fe, Artichoke Bisque, breakfast bagel, and any of the holiday bagel flavors. They load up the sandwiches with cream cheese and ingredients so you definitely get your money's worth. It's great for any time of the day or week (except Sunday when its closed). I will admit that it's possible only locals love the Bagel Corner because it's been a part of our town for so long. I hope this isn't the case because I think the food is pretty delicious and I recommend it to anyone who visits Salinas! read more

The Bagel Corner is a fantastic shop with great options. There are so many different types of bagels and spreads, all which are really good. One of my favorites lately has been the all seed bagel with low fat garlic and herb spread. Some of their other options are breakfast sandwiches, wraps, Sandwiches and salads. They are quick about making the food and they have a wide variety of Seattle's Best Coffee. read more

Today i had their Chicken Tortilla soup and it was so bad.. the broth was very greasy, it had chicken bones, no flavor/seasonings (none!).. Did someone order cream cheese with their bagel? CREAM CHEESE!!! They slab so much cream cheese, that it is thicker than the bagel itself. I ordered food was then asked to wait outside in the patio, so i did. Due to only allowing 5 people inside. Employees come out to give you your food, when the employees came to give me my food, i then left and when i arrived home my whole order was not complete. I returned and they have the rest of my order on the counter and proceeded to say "you must have forgotten to come in to pick it up." My food was sitting there for an hour, i was asked to wait outside so i have no ideas i needed to pick it up inside. Should let customers know there food is in two separate bags. read more

I am a creature of habit. I order the same sandwich on the same bagel the same way every time I come here. Plain turkey and cheese with pepperoncinis on the side and a side of cranberry, and if the season is good for avocados, I'll add a side to my order. Well today I got charged for pepperoncini and a half order of cranberry at full price. I've been getting this same order for years. I'm surprised they don't know me and my order or even my first name, but this is the first time ever charged like this and not receive a full container of cranberry and be charged for something that comes on my sandwich. My son and I have been eating here weekly since he was in the womb. The price was great on the bagels, and the fruit cups were worth the higher price. Unfortunately, we went in for our Saturday bagel, and were charged almost triple for the bagels. When I questioned the cashier, she said the prices had changed, and the adjusted signs were being printed. Totally rude delivery, and a stunning change in price. We wont be back. read more

I grew up going to Bagel Bakery growing up but have been to Bagel Corner upon return visits with my family for bagel sandwhiches. It's much closer to our house. The bagels aren't chewy and amazing like NY bagels but they're more bready and good for sandwhiches. The ingredients seem fresh and the service is prompt and friendly. This place seems packed during lunchtime due to high school students but there's always a good crowd at the random times we've been. I know it's probably extremely unhealthy but the artichoke bisque soup is so good! I always cave in and get some. read more

If you are lookinG for fresh, quality, and inexpensive bagel, then this is the place. Kid friendly in that the staff does mind my kids looking at and deciding which bagel they like. Triple berry is a favorite but you can not go wrong with the bagels, This is not a fancy coffee house but you will notice people talking to each other and not peering at their laptops or cell phones. Tried their breakfast burritos and those are pretty good so we decided to try their sandwiches today. I had the bbq tri trip for $8.99. It was ok, nothing special. Too much barbecue sauce I thought. My boyfriend had the calamari sandwich for $11.99 He thought it was good but the calamari steak was a little thin. We asked for their garlic fries at the end of our order. $6.99 seemed a little overpriced but I thought it would be a full order. I was wrong. They added a bit of garlic fries to the side of the sandwich. For $6.99 they should give you more fries in my opinion. I added a picture. $19 for a calamari sandwich and side of fries??? I am not a fan of their bagels. Bagels shouldn't be soft in my opinion. I ordered the chef salad and a small soup. Oh my goodness just look at the picture I posted. The salad was huge. I couldn't finish it. It's also pretty tasty. It's a must try. The soup never got finished there was just so much food. Artichoke bisque the same as Gino's. The staff is friendly for being so busy. I adore the Bagel Corner! My go to lunch bagel is the Santa Fe on an Asiago bagel. My go to breakfast is strawberry cream cheese (it is so so good) on a triple berry bagel! The workers are all friendly and the service is good! I am a regular patron and a couple times a year I go in and order two dozen bagels for my student workers as a treat for them- they love them just as much as I do!! **Do be wary of the flavored cream cheese of the month however- they had one that sounded absolutely divine- Pineapple Coconut...there was nothing about that I shouldn't adore- I love pineapple, I adore coconut and I love cream cheese. In my most recent order (a dozen and a small size pineapple coconut cream cheese). The pineapple was so incredibly bitter (I am wondering if it was an under ripe fresh pineapple?) the cream cheese was inedible and couldn't be eaten at all and was thrown away. Made me wish I hadn't wasted my money but instead bought my tried and true strawberry cream cheese. read more

One of the go-to spots while I was still in high school. I looooove the tomato pesto cream cheese (especially on an Italian herb bagel). I've gone to other bagel places in California, specifically in San Diego and San Francisco and they either didn't have a tomato pesto spread or it just didn't taste as good. Pricing is decent, not overly priced but I wouldn't say it's inexpensive. A meal for two usually runs me about 20 bucks. Two bagels two drinks. Either way they're begals are paked. I used to come here at least once a week. They love their jobs here and can handle a busy crowd. They changed the menu and do not have as many veggie options. They used to have a veggie wrap and it's now gone. But they have a sandwich that goes on special which has spinach and other veggies and cream cheese. The problem is they don't always post the right specials on social media. However, they do great service and have a large variety of menu items that are great for the value so I still stop in when I need to (really, I send someone because I'm in a wheelchair). Standouts are: They have killer soup! The famous Artichoke Bisque from Gino's is served here as well as their healthy Minestrone. Breakfast burritos are big enough to last me two meals. I don't order them often because they ARE good but not too healthy. Loaded with cheese, eggs, potatoes and sausages, I can't let myself order them more than once every couple of months. They have huge salads as well. I like to order the tuna, it has enough tuna for the salad and I can set some aside for toasted tuna sandwiches. Antipasti salad is good, too. Bagels are great. I love the all seed, onion and plain. But why they're so good to me is the cream cheese-many flavors. Strawberry is great to order by the tub for a potluck or when guests are stopping by. The tomato pesto is to die for, especially on a toasted all seed. California delight is chock full of avocados. This place has lines out the door for a reason. They even have outdoor patio seating. They do make mistakes but they make up for it (twice they offered 6 free bagels when they doled out the wrong order). I don't know what to do with 6 bagels but the message is received that they care when they make mistakes. Only thing keeping it from 4 stars is the lack of veg options and that the facebook page doesn't post the right specials but when a place is this busy that has to be hard to keep up with. I've brought it up before and they just keep offering 6 free bagels. I don't know what to do with that much bread, just either stop posting on facebook or get the specials right... Do that and I'm here 2-3 times a week again. I live right around the corner. Btw, if you know about Doorbell Dining, they are available for delivery through them. The food at this place is solid -- you get exactly what you want and exactly what you pay for, and you're full after your meal (possibly with a little left over). I got the Ralph's Chicken Salad and an Italian Herb bagel, and I'm excited to say that there was more than enough to stretch into the next meal. My mom is an avid fan of the artichoke bisque soup, so I'll give it a thumbs-up, too. But frills, ambiance, comfort? No checks there. The name aside, it is a really good place, a bit on the expensive side, but they do everything bagel, bagel sandwiches, bagel dogs, bagels with any type of spread, or plain bagels of many different flavors. Expect a line in the morning on weekends(duh). But you can't beat it. All the bagels are fresh and of course delicious. But I can't resist the breakfast burritos lately.
