The bagel corner always has people inside, especially around breakfast time. The gentleman who took my order was helpful and professional. I noticed that he was managing other employees and ensuring they prepared the orders correctly. I love to see that. I ordered a supreme breakfast burrito with two meats, ham and chorizo, and cheese, with papas and a Caesar salad with chicken. The salad was a good-sized portion--literally enough to feed three people. I had two bowls of it and saved the rest for the next day, finishing it all! It cost $15, but the presentation could have been better with fresh lettuce. The croutons tasted a bit soggy, but overall, I really enjoyed the salad, and the chicken tasted like blackened chicken. My family also got bigger sandwiches, and they said it was good--a decent-sized portion. The only issue was that the fountain machine was out of many drinks, but I get it. It gets busy, and everyone's trying to make sure orders are being handled efficiently. The atmosphere is mid. Everyone is just trying to eat some good food, that's the vibe I get. I have been coming here since I was a little girl, this place is not only a tiny bit sentimental but a huge amount of tasty! I have had bagels all over the country, and these by far are the best bagels I have ever had in my entire life. They are dense and thick and soft! It's hard to get that combo with a sprinkle of crunch when you bite into it. And don't get me started on their breakfast sandwiches and burritos! I love how they continue to add more things to the grab and go area as well as vamping up the menu from time to time. You guys get better every year! There is alwayssss a huge wait for bagels and during lunch or breakfast hour be prepared to wait at least 20 mins for your food. It's worth it if you have the time because their sandwiches are loaded! The bagels are always nice and crispy and fluffy and their cream cheeses are super flavorful and not too sweet or plain. The Bagel Corner is one of my favorite places to go to when i'm in Salinas. I can't wait to go back and get it again. The service is very good and online ordering is super easy. I think it's a great place to enjoy a bagel or take to go. It does get pretty busy during peak hours so ordering ahead might be the best move. My favorites have to be the turkey, egg and cheese bagel and the berry bagel with honey walnut cream cheese. The food is so good, but I came away today SO sick for the second time from eating a turkey sandwich. The first time I figured was just a coincidence... but today was a whole other ballgame. I came to enjoy a nice snack and I got the strawberry Jam. The service was nice the cashier was very cool and understanding. The mood of the place was calm and it was a nice place. We have been coming here for years until we moved out of town. That being said we come here when we do come to town and we are very disappointed the last few times. Today was my last straw at the bagel corner. After coming here multiple times, different times of the day, I always tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt with their customer service and today did it. There is an assistant supervisor who has blue hair & is full of tattoos that just always has something sarcastic to say and provides horrible customer service. She speaks to all customers like children, she takes orders in a fast unwelcoming way & she speaks to her staff in such an embarrassing/humiliating way that I also experience second hand embarrassment. There is absolutely no need to act like a drill sergeant to your staff after messing up an order. (Has happened more than 2 times I have been there) This place has good food, but wow, I think the supervisor expectations need to be revised because I have NO idea how she got there. The Bagel Corner is one of my favorite spots for a quick bite to eat. Indoor and outdoor seating! Always busy! Worth the wait and bang for your buck. My go to isn't really a bagel at all, although they are delicious! Different flavors, ( Pesto & Asiago cheese is a winner and Blueberry) but the breakfast burritos! Aww man those burritos I could eat everyday and never get sick of them! My burrito order is small veg add bacon with extra salsa verde on the side. For a bagel I go for the pesto bagel with cream cheese, tomatoes, pickles, sprouts, cucumber, & peppers. It's lightly toasted, crunchy, cold, and so filling! This is a family owned business who also have take away Italian food called pastabilities on the other side of the street. The employees have been there for years and are such a delight. This place is a staple in the community, I've been coming to bagel corner since I was at least 5 years old. The best bagels you can get anywhere in the central coast. The food is always fresh and comes out in a good timely manner. This is by far my favorite place to grab a bagel sandwich. It's a perfect location and has great seating arrangements inside and out. However, this place gets a solid 4 stars because of a specific associate that is extremely impolite and has no sense of customer service at all, otherwise this place is a solid 5/5. When ordering she seems to act as a programmed robot and asks the same exact questions in an impolite, rapid, and repetitive manner, almost to hurry you out of the way so she doesn't have to deal with you anymore. She's also extremely bland in character and is unnecessarily sarcastic when answering any questions you might have about food items you don't know anything about. It's extremely rude and selfish when I'm trying to order my meal and am constantly interrupted by this associate asking a question that can wait to be asked after I order my meal. It makes for a very confusing ordering process on both ends because I've received my order completely incorrect, due to this associate rapidly taking my order to get me out the way. I'd also like to add how she treats fellow associates. I've been here more times than I can count and have witnessed this associate being extremely rude and disrespectful to fellow workers with her tone and choice of sarcastic verbiage. I wish the associates had name tags but all I know is that this lady has blue hair and is very light complected. Also I've seen her wear an "assistant supervisor" apron. Not sure how she was given that position let alone hired in the first place because she lacks an extreme amount of customer service and politeness. A harsh but very honest truth.
