From the moment we walked in, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered the Double Chicken Pesto, and it was easily the highlight of my visit. The sandwich was served warm, which made a big difference. The pesto added a rich, savory flavor and all of the ingredients worked well together. The bread though! Crisp and nicely crunchy on the outside, yet soft and fresh on the inside. It had that perfect texture you hope for in a sourdough sandwich and elevated the experience. My son ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad along with a cup of clam chowder. The salad had a generous portion of chicken, lots of croutons for extra crunch, and a Caesar dressing that was creamy and flavorful. They also included two sides of dressing, which was great for anyone who likes a well-coated salad. My son ended up asking for a third. The clam chowder was decent overall. It wasn't the best we've had compared to some of the chowder spots in Monterey, where the standard is pretty high, but it was still warm, satisfying, and worth trying as part of the meal. Overall, Sourdough Company delivered fresh food, solid portions, quality bread, and excellent customer service. There was little to no sourdough flavor. It was hard and chewy making it difficult to eat the sandwich. I'm ok saying that it was, well, ok. But for me, Jersey Mike's for the win. read more

After a long day at work, I really wasn't in the mood to cook and was craving a sandwich. I decided to give this place a try. I am glad that I did. The young blonde lady behind the counter was super nice and friendly. Her customer service was amazing, I was very pleased. I let her know it was my first time and I couldn't decide between 2 sandwiches, one of them being the chicken cholula I think. She mentioned that was one of her favorites, she did mention it had some heat. I decided to go with that. I sat there waiting for my order and she kept herself busy, cleaning while there wasn't customers but she made sure she greeted everyone with a friendly service as they walked in. There were maybe 1 or 2 other customers/tables. She was super nice to everyone. My sandwich was really good. My only complaint is the bread was a bit crunchy, which I didn't mind too much. In a world where customer service is dying this place is so refreshing. Excellent customer service, staff are incredibly attentive and kind. Food is delicious and fresh. I've tried a few of there sandwiches so far and will continue to go back (Italian, pastrami , French dip and brisket all soooo tasty) . I'm so glad they opened a location here in Salinas! Their sandwiches are so delicious. They just opened, and it was already very busy when I walked in to pickup my online order. They offer dine-in, online ordering, and delivery. At first I couldn't find the location within the shopping center, but it is between Starbucks and BKM health foods. This review is only based on the second sandwich, which was quite good. The bread was good, it had plenty of meat but still a little skimpy on the lettuce and tomato. Ordered a Cobb salad and flatbread and some clam chowder through DoorDash. The DoorDash was a nightmare because the person kept circling around my house like they couldn't find it. I've never had that problem before with DoorDash so I feel like it might've been intentional maybe. Anyways, I think that the food is amazing. My salad was very fresh. I don't like to eat salads from restaurants because I find that they have an odd chemical taste like lettuce. This place was really fresh and it seemed like they get there greens from a local produce company maybe. Very fresh no odors in the salad. I just wish there was more toppings because I had opted to remove the chicken and blue cheese and the salad barely had any toppings. If somebody is removing those options from their salad, you should throw an extra hard boiled egg on top of it because they're saving you money. I have to pay the same price without those options anyways. The flatbread was good, but at the time we got it was because the DoorDash was about 20 minutes. we were happy with the soup. Very good flavor. I'll be coming back here again, but this time in person because I hate DoorDash. read more
