Creekside Bagel was recommended to us by our Aunt. We came here for breakfast before driving to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The restaurant is clean with a couple of small tables and they had a highchair for my toddler to sit in. Prices are reasonable. We got the Monterey bagel sandwich with a coffee and freesh squeezed orange juice. Little one really enjoyed the OJ. The bagel sandwich was delicious and large enough to share. The bacon was crispy and the avocado and sprouts tasted fresh. Got it on a onion bagel which tasted fresh and soft. Also got a croissant which was huge but I recommend the bagels. Also got a couple everything bagels and honey walnut cream cheese smear which were great toasted at home the next morning. I will definitely come back here next time I am in the area. read more

I think these owners aren't the original but they definitely improved it. Their bagels are always fresh and their service is quick. They are always really nice and if they make a mistake, they will fix it, but not at your expense. Coming from LA and being a fan of bagel joints like Noah's Bagels and Brueggel's bagels, my expectation of bagels and bagel sandwiches are pretty high. Having tried two other bagel joints before Creekside I had high hopes for at least a decent experience but there were no stars to wish upon this morning. We ordered a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño bagel with sausage, cheese and egg. If I hadn't seen the jalapeño, cheese and egg I would have guessed that I was eating a cardboard sandwich with extra glue. Bland bland bland! I also ordered a toasted blueberry bagel that had died of unnatural causes and all that was left was a dead experience. Creekside bagels should stop selling counterfeit bagels and maybe try selling knockoff purse sandwiches instead, because the market for sad bagel experiences is saturated here in Salinas. Tomorrow we will look for a Star$$$'s and order a safe boring plastic sandwich and an overpriced coffee. read more

Great bagels! Stopped by for breakfast bagels on a Saturday morning expecting it to be a mess but it went smooth. Was able to place my order on the website and just pick it up in-store. On this visit I had the Sunrise on an Onion Bagel. Toasted to perfection, the cheese melty and warm. What a treat! I also ordered an Onion Bagel with Sundried tomato. The flavor was very good for the sun-dried tomato spread only grip was it was a bit soft. But overall both were delicious! Great tasting bagels, quick service, will definitely be back. read more

A group of friends recommended this place to me as I was visiting from Oregon and it was hands down amazing. I got the Santa Fe on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. In fact, I went back the next day for round two! I then tried the funky monkey smoothie, it was a little sweeter due to the bananas but totally worth almost getting diabetes for. Usually the bagels are nice and fresh when I've visited this place, I would pick up bagels for my co-workers in the mornings or for my family. I walked into this place on Tuesday at 5 right before closing orders 4 bagels 2 signature and 2 regular with cream cheese, when I got home to eat my bagel it was hard as a rock you can hit the table and hear the sound my daughter also wasn't happy as hers was also hard (old/stale) We were both so disappointed the following day I called asked to speak to the owner the boy who answered refused to pass the call over until I told him the problem, second bad experience. Finally spoke to the owner and of course she tried explaining away the fact that the bagels get hard at end of the day.. Wow I've had many bagels in my life even a day old bagel isn't this hard. None the less she did nothing to resolve the issue and hearing her try to explain away the fact that the bagels were not hard, old, stale, was even more upsetting. If you're looking for great bagels and sandwiches with a side of a refreshing drink then this is the place to go! It's owned by an older Asian couple and they're honestly really sweet. Each order is addressed personally so that means the wait is a bit longer but you can guarantee that it's made with care. My normal order is the Super Turkey bagel which is stuffed with sprouts, Turkey, cranberry sauce, tomatoes, with the option of mayo and mustard. I also ordered a new drink from the menu today which was the island berry drink with boba. I'm definitely not disappointed as my order was delicious. Highly recommended lunch spot! read more

Let me start of by saying I LOVE bagels. I have lived in Monterey Bay my entire life until recently and I've always loved the Bagel Bakeries. There are many different owners who run things differently and do different bagels but for the most part, I feel assured that they will always be good. This location is very convenient. This store happens to be quite dead most of the time. It is unfortunate as the very nice lady who runs it happens to be an amazing sandwich maker. She makes sandwiches as if they were going to be for her. I would eat here a lot more often if I still lived in Salinas. In fact, I eat here perhaps every single time I come to town. She knows my order at this point and always does a good job. Point being, I hate fast food restaurants, I like to eat real food while having quick and friendly service and I find that at the Bagel Bakery. read more

I always get the California Turkey on a cheese bagel toasted with mayo, and it never disappoints! Today I opted for the frozen lemonade with raspberry and it was wonderful, the food came out before the drinks did but it's a small price to pay for a great meal and quick service. Family owned bagel shop located in a convenient location. They make the bagels, daily, in shop early in the morning. I'm not sure if it's a husband and wife running the front of house, but they do work well as a team. This place has become my "go to" breakfast on the run stop. I make it a habit to buy multiple sandwiches to share with others. Everyone has liked the sandwiches. My wife and I stopped in right when they opened to buy some breakfast. We bought several bagels and two tubs of the 6$ cream cheese. We got home and went to use one of the tubs of cream cheese and noticed a sour smell. Well we went to return it back to the store a hour later and the worker was really rude saying it smelt fine and it was our problem.
