Funky Mocha Monkey and Morning Star
Katrina P.

With all transparency: this bagel spot is my top 5. I've tried a lot of bagel spots. I went to college in Davis and I'm currently living in the Bay Area, and I always crave Blazin' Bagels! The bagels I typically always order Blazin' Turkey or the Morning Star. It's always so good and I'm still struggling to find a bagel spot similar to this. The staff is always so nice and accommodating to your order and your add ons. I love that you are able to watch them bake the bagels and their pastries. Sometimes if they're low on staff, it does take longer to get your bagels but this has only happened to me a few times. I haven't experienced a time where I struggled to find a seat to eat, but I typically just order to-go. I also appreciate that their bagels don't run out quickly. The jalapeño cheddar is always my go-to, but I would like it spicier but it's still good! I will also die on a hill when I say you have to try their Funny Mocha Monkey at least once. Caffeine + amazing flavor = never disappoints. If you're in the area, stop by!

The cashiers were nice and quick. I got the cafe garlic bagel and my sister got the California turkey bagel. I also got the espresso blast. We didn't have to wait too long for our order. We went around 11am on Thursday. It was pretty quiet and a chill setting where you can take your food to go or sit and people watch or talk. It opens before the mall so you're only able to stay in the little corner but once the mall opens they open extra seating and you're able to walk around the mall with your food. The bagels were soooo good. Crunch bagel and it is filled with a good amount of meat. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is their espresso blast. It tasted like something was freezer burnt it just had a really weird after taste so I threw it out. I highly recommend their bagel sandwiches!

Located outside of the Salinas, Northridge mall. This is a small bagel spot, so it can get super crammed inside real quick. The ordering system is fast and their menu is simple, but the bagels do take a few minutes to be ready considering it's a very busy place. WHAT I ORDERED: The Monterey breakfast bagel. It had everything; bacon, avocado, cheese, mushrooms and Brussels sprouts on a whole wheat bagel. INSIDE: There's plenty of seating so you can relax while you wait for you order to be made, THE FOODS: My bagel was fresh and fluffy! Fun concept and it didn't fall apart, and that is what sold me, and why I keep coming back here. If you love bagels, I recommend this place - thank you and I look forward to my next visit.

I've got to admit, the last place I was expecting to find a great bagel spot was in a shopping mall! However, don't let the location fool you - this place makes a mean bagel sandwich! I got mine toasted with turkey, cream cheese, sprouts, and all the fixings. It was delicious & satisfying. I would definitely head back to this location to try out their other options and baked goods. The ambience is clean and cozy, set apart from the rest of the mall with its own private seating. The service was friendly, and they have plenty of seating close to one of the mall entrances.

Our first time trying this place, and we DoorDashed delivery and selected the garden bagel sandwich. It proved to be a delightful choice. We complemented the meal with their iced mocha, a flavorful treat, slightly pricier compared to other coffee shops. Despite this, we're eager to explore more of their bagel sandwich offerings.

Starting with the Supercharger, this was easily the standout of the two. It's loaded with roast beef, bacon, turkey, ham, salami, pepperoncini, tomatoes, red onions, gouda cheese, and chipotle aioli on a ciabatta roll. They definitely don't skimp on the meat, which makes it super satisfying. The combination of the soft ciabatta and cheese worked really well together and balanced out the heaviness of the meats. My only complaint is that it could've used a bit more sauce, something like extra mustard or mayo would've taken it to the next level. Still, a strong 8.5/10. The Belair was decent but didn't quite hit the same level. It came with turkey breast, bacon, gouda cheese, spring mix, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini, and chipotle aioli on fresh sliced sourdough. Ours actually came with American cheese instead of gouda, which slightly changed the flavor profile. It was a good sandwich overall, but noticeably drier, especially with the sourdough, so it definitely needed more sauce to bring everything together. I'd give it a 7.2/10. Service was fast and efficient, which I appreciated. The ambiance stood out too, it has a cool retro gas station vibe that gives the place some personality and makes it feel unique. Staff was friendly, and the overall experience was smooth.

It had a sweet mustard that took the sandwich to another level, and I loved that it came with sprouts. We also got a tasty pickle and piece of an orange on the side. My son really enjoyed his Caesar salad wrap. He said the wrap itself was incredibly soft, the croutons were crunchy, and the chicken was warm, tender, and flavorful. The Caesar dressing was spot on with just the right amount. He usually adds extra dressing to Caesar wraps, but this one didn't need a thing. The service was excellent. We originally asked about the Caesar salad wraps since we didn't see it on the menu, and the cashier kindly let us know they still make it, which was a pleasant surprise. Our food came out quickly, everyone was friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. Overall, we had a wonderful lunch and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you are looking for fresh, delicious sandwiches and great customer service.

The deli refuses to take responsibility. Second time. Avoid delivery until they fix it unless you really trust that it will be done right. For me, they messed up the past two times. I also question why they don't have a manager on site on a holiday who could help.

We finally got the chance to check it out. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. The Prunedale Market is located along side the highway 101 freeway in the small town of Prunedale. It just takes a few long right turns to get there. Parking is easy and accessible out in the front parking lot. From the front, the market does not look like a popular BBQ spot. It looks like a simple small market store to grab quick snacks and drinks. Once inside there is a BBQ and deli section to your right. A small dining area is to your left. The decor is old fashioned and quaint. The 2 gentlemen greet you with friendly hospitality. We ordered the Tri tip sandwich, half slab of ribs which includes 2 potatoes and a cup of corn chowder. The pit master/owner Martin, who use to work for Original Joe's, was kind enough to also include a quarter chicken leg, a sausage, and extra ribs. It was so much food for our party of 3. Everything was delicious and hearty. The Tri tip sandwich was scrumptious with the flaming Fritos adding a nice crunchy texture and kick with every bite. The ribs were juicy and smokey. Potatoes complemented very well with the rest of the meat and chicken. Corn chowder was so tasty and creamy. I did not know corn chowder was that good. Overall we enjoyed our experience at the Prunedale Market. The staff were super nice and accommodating. They even offered for our son to grab some free ice cream to go. We politely declined. The prices were very reasonable. All that food fed us for the next 2 days. Lol. We hope to be back when we are in the area with other friends and family.

Anyways, im so glad my coworkers told Me about this place because it's been a nice addition to my frequent-places-to-visit-on-the-regular list. Honestly there is nothing I've had from this place that isn't good. From their lemonades, coffee, smoothies to their avocado toast, wraps, sandwiches, and cookies. They really nailed down their menu options! Not to mention the biggest thing, their staff is super friendly, welcoming and patient when you're trying to decide what to order. They may be located by the courthouse in Salinas but don't let that stop you for visiting. You won't be disappointed! & if you happen to need to serve jury duty, this is a nice spot to go hangout and enjoy a little break from doing your service.
