Got the poutine, the lobster and the classic philly and they were all okay. It wasnt as good as i expected honestly. I expected them to be better but its alright. I got what i paid for. Cheers!

Viet sub 8/10
Liz O.

We came before a movie, just something quick and easy and the Viet sub was tasty and filling. The seating area is very small, but we got a table and waited for our meals. The loss of star was simply because we both agreed that the meat needed to be cut a bit more. It was one huge long piece and hard/messy to eat. The staff is very friendly and tries to accommodate a lot of people very quickly. It was an extremely busy time, right at dinner time, so they served us in to-go containers, as I guess some people don't find seats and need to eat in the mall.

I enjoyed a lobster shrimp melted cheesesteak ($13). It was basically a lobster roll with cheese. It was made with a nicely toasted hoagie roll. The filling was mainly shrimp with bits of lobster. I did enjoy the flavours of mayo, dill, and celery mixed in. It was a bit pricey for a snack, but I thought it was worth the splurge. I have eaten better lobster rolls elsewhere, however, this is a convenient location to fulfill your seafood sandwich cravings.

I didn't know there was an American Cheesesteak at Metrotown. We were shopping on Black Friday and were exhausted and hungry. We suddenly saw the giant TV screens (showing their meaty sandwiches with sauces coming out) at The American Cheesesteak. Its like seeing an Angel suddenly popup. Yes no kidding. We ordered the Frenchie and New Yorker. One with fries and the other with onion rings. I have to say both sandwiches were delicious. Lots of sauce and meat.Love their onion rings. All freshly made in front of you. The owner is very friendly. He even asked us how it taste. The American Cheesesteak is not located in the food court. Its hidden inside Metropolis below the Cinplex. There are about 4 or 5 tables. Decor clean. Good choices in drinks. Definitely will come back to try their other sandwiches.

The frenchie (sauteed onions, brie cheese, dijon mayo, balsamic reduction, & arugula)

When going to see a movie at metrotown I always go to american cheesesteak beforehand. It's super close to the theater and I have never had a bad experience here. One of my favorites is the frenchie. It comes with sauteed onions, brie cheese, dijon mayo, balsamic reduction and arugula. A different approach to a traditional cheesesteak. It is seriously tasty and is worth a try if you are feeling a little adventurous. $13 a sandwich it is a bit on the pricer side. However the sandwich is huge and left me more then full. I almost had trouble finishing it..... almost. Every time I have visited, the service has always been super friendly. For good food and service I will come back again and again. The only minor downside is the seating, it is a bit limited. Only a few tables and chairs. Other then the limited seating this place is great! American cheese steak definately wins out over a busy food court any day!

Took insanely long to make a grilled cheese and no one was in front of me. Also they had fries sitting out where customers could easily sneeze on them. Not very sanitary.

Classic Cheesesteak.

I was basically gonna grab dinner with one of my classmates from school when suddenly he decided to bring the future Mrs. So we decided that we would head to American Cheesesteak Co over this place because I know for a fact that these sandwiches would be so filling that if they ordered a meal for that, they would be having a midnight snack of fries and a coke it was that filling. I ordered the classic because there is nothing like having the original. There was lots of beef and it was covered onions and provolone cheese. It was so messy that my classmates were picking up food from the wraps. They tried the New Yorker and the Big Shot. They enjoyed their sandwiches as it was literally loaded with so much food that they realized it was such a steal for the price. We managed to get water just because we were trying lower our calories. It is conveniently located on the 2nd level just across from Kawawa AYCE. This is the 2nd location in the AC Franchise as the original location is in Downtown on Davies Street. I was referred to this restaurant by the guys on TEAM 1040 Sports Radio where they first mentioned about this place. They seem to never disappoint me.

Poutine. Waiting for the cheese curds to melt....
Monika C.

I haven't had the best experience with cheesesteaks so I decided to try the poutine first. Wait time was a bit long but it might have been because they were still prepping the food items. Service was very friendly. The poutine was tasty albeit a bit on the heavy side (but when is poutine ever NOT on the heavy side?). Fries were crispy with just enough seasoning and relatively thick too. They looked and tasted like freshly cut. The gravy was a good consistency and I liked the slight kick that came from what I presumed was peeper. The cheesecurds took a while to melt and were pretty standard. The poutine was garnished with some... Parsley? It made the picture a bit prettier but didn't add much to the taste. Maybe next time I'll brave an actual sandwich.

Philly cheese
Alex K.

Let me preface that my reason for this average review is due to the business model it holds. Had the philly cheese with mushrooms. Came to 11.55. Roughly 4 oz of beef with about 2 oz of provolone and about twelve mushrooms at a 1/8th slice. The mushrooms and onions were not noticeable. The baguette was good but the beef was just bleh. Had this place been a fastfood staple and offered the sandwich as a combo for a $ten, then it'd be decent. But Its not a memorable spot and i wont be going back. Probably worth a shot for anyone interested though, but my picture posted kind of paints the picture.

Top is a regular sized Philly $11 & bottom is the mini classic combo with fries $7.99
Shazneen K.

Pretty good...meat is tender, lots of onions, cheese & mushrooms. Buns are so perfect and soft. I ordered the mini classic combo with fries. The "mini" is not so mini. It's the size of a regular sandwich while the regular is huge! For $8 the mini & fries is a great deal for what you get. There are so many different styles to choose from...I can't wait to try it out again. Few nice seats & booths inside. We were able to catch a nice bite before heading to a movie upstairs.

Nice!!

I've brought so many of my friends here too, and every single one of them has been blown away by the quality and flavour. Absolute top notch!

This time, I visited to try their limited item for the Hot Chocolate Festival. #021 Milano Tehran - A luxurious fusion of flavors, this hot chocolate pairs the rich, floral notes of Iranian saffron with the creamy smoothness of Callebaut's premium Belgian white chocolate. Served with an in-house-made cannoli piped with pistachio gelato. The white chocolate texture was smooth, and I liked the balance of sweetness. The standout item was the pistachio gelato in the cannoli. As usual, the gelato was very delicious. However, the hot chocolate temperature was too high, and it seemed to have lost some of its flavor because of that. It was hard for me to taste the saffron flavor or the floral notes. I think I will revisit to try a different item, though the gelato never disappoints.

There's a classic milk soft serve and another flavor which they can twist together with the classic milk. They seem to feature new flavors every month or so. I think I had seen from their Instagram page that they had an Ube soft serve back in April. Right now we're in early June and the flavor that we got for our twist was a cookie butter soft serve. Not sure how much longer they will have the cookie butter flavor as I had thought that it was supposed to be just for the month of May. So...I guess they don't always change the flavor right at the beginning of each month. They do change the flavors every so often though. I ordered the Green Forest which is supposed to have matcha powder, sweet red beans and condensed milk. They had run out of red beans when I went so they let met choose a different topping to replace the red beans. That actually suited me better anyways as I'm not a big fan of red beans. I chose the Green Forest for the matcha flavor in it, not the red bean! I ended up choose toasted coconut as a replacemenet for the red beans. Yum yum yum! My daughter chose the Brown Sugar Pearls option which came with brown sugar drizzle, and soft, chewy tapioca pearls. Hubby opted for the Mudslide which came with Tim Tam crumbs and chocolate syrup. I think the one thing I'd like to see at this place would be more flavors of soft serve to choose from. Having only two flavors makes things simpler for them I suppose. Happy enough with what they offer since they do have lots of interesting toppings to choose from, but...more flavors of soft serve would be cool to see. Parking: Pay parking on the street but the meter is free from 8pm. Service: Fair
