We loved the exposed ceiling pipes (we dig the industrial aesthetic), as well as the vibrant Monzo mural and the illuminated magenta recessed dining area (kinda like a semi-private area, if you have a group of friends with you. This recessed area has booths and its own wall-mounted tv. Very cool). My kid and I were escorted to a booth along the Granville window wall. Unfortunately, we missed their happy hour window (next time!), but we were impressed by the variety of foods and drinks on their menu. I had thought they only had burgers here. Oh how wrong I was! There were all sorts of pub-like far, including chicken wings and chicken strips, and a salad or two, and lots of different sides. But of course, they are known for their burgers. Oh, and they have lots of milkshakes, too, and "boozy milkshakes" as well. We opted for a cheeseburger with bacon, onion rings, and my kid got a soft-serve ice cream with fudge hot sauce on it. WOW. the burger was fabulous: the beef patties were compressed like pancakes (smashed?), and the bacon and Monzo sauce was all delicious, as was the soft potato bun. It was very messy, but good. And the onion rings were some of the best I've had : totally NOT greasy, and a good portion (more than enough for two people to share). My kid loved her ice cream, too. Service was awesome. We had a lady and a guy serving our table and both were friendly and attentive. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars: the didn't have Diet Coke here (boo! Why have only regular Coke and Coke Zero but not its bestseller Diet Coke? Makes no sense). And, there was some paper trash on the floor under our booth and the booth beside us (for the most part, the place was clean, but you couldn't miss the used napkins and wrappers on the floor). We got waffle fries and double cheese burger. The waffle fries came out quick and really hot. Loved the seasoning on it and how crispy it was. The double cheese burger was HUGE. Lots of sauce in it as well. It tasted good but it was more greasy than I expected. We will be back but probably only once in a while cause it was honestly quite greasy and heavy.
