Decent food and decent service!! Very popular neighbourhood restaurant. Popular with older folks.

I ate a fantastic schnitzel and was served by a wonderful waitress. The vibe was exactly as you'd hope for in a diner. My only regret was not leaving space for pie! read more

Name suits this spot so well, homey atmosphere and food! Lots of variety on the menu and honestly seem to all be done very well! Service was kind, quick and accommodating even though it was quite busy! Portions are great and the up-charges for fun sides are the most reasonable I've ever seen (99 cents for a caeser salad, free to swap to a cup of soup, etc.). THE CLUB HOUSE WAS SO GOOD - lots of real turkey breast and crispy bacon. Fish and chips were also massive for the price! read more

Came here on a weekend and it was super busy. Although there was a line of people they seem to work them in at a pretty steady pace. They were even able to accommodate a decent sized party of 8 during the rush. Menu consists of typical diner food; but the portions are absolutely massive. Our group ordered a range of menu items, and every single one was huge. From their fish and chips to the Mountain Man Breakfast. I had the later which was fantastic. Potatoes were done just right and getting grilled onions on top is a huge plus for me. Meat and eggs were also done well. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a hearty breakfast spot. read more

Came here after reading a lot of good reviews.. Was seated promptly by the hostess and the ambience was comfortable... Ordered the Farmers Breakfast with German Sausage, Eggs over easy, Rye Bread and Potato Wedges along with Coffee.. Coffee was cold, asked for heated cream and never got it so used the small half-n-half cold cups that came with the coffee Eggs weren't over easy as requested but the German Sausage was cooked well, toast was soggy and the potato wedges were seasoned well but not crisp at all... Asked for a fresh cup of hot coffee and did get it but it still wasn't hot enough... The staff wasn't as prompt or attentive as one would have liked... They do have an extensive menu so will come back here and try other dishes ... read more

April 29/2022: This was an alright brunch! Lots of food for the order. I had the "Mountain Man breakfast". The eggs were done right, the bacon had to go back for additional cooking, I wasn't a fan of the sausage flavour but the ham was tasty. The potatoes were cooked right as well. The rye toast was buttered but I couldn't tell on which side! My server was Jennifer whom was very nice & polite. As a treat I also had a slice of Coconut Cream Pie. It was made with real cream! read more

Had a breakfast earlier and was happy. The place was a bit busy but we were able to get a table right away. Serving time is a bit longer but was happy with overall taste of our food. The shredded hashbrowns was a winner. I love that its crispy outside and moist inside. Staff are friendly attentive with our needs. Will definitely go back here. read more

We went in to buy a whole pie, and they told us that we "could not buy a whole pie because we have to save some for our customers", so what does that make us?? But they said we could buy slices of pies only. So we bought 6 sliced pies, which is a whole pie. But we had to pay $36 worth of SLICED pies instead of $22 WHOLE pie. The important thing is that we went in there to buy a whole pie in slices... As customers or non customers?? I don't even know. read more

We stopped into this 'Home' on a recent Sunday morning - seeking an early-am breakfast, on a trip which was to eventually take us east, and into Manning Provincial Park. The restaurant was not far from home, and conveniently-located on the route we had chosen for the first part of our trip. We pulled into their parking lot about 8 am. Good, friendly, and cordial service from entry-to-leaving. And for us, a menu that offered some decent choices - just what we wanted, some solid breakfast 'basics', and not a lot of 'extras' we did not want to include. Mom went with the 'Senior's Bacon and Egg' (one scrambled egg, two slices of bacon, with shredded hashbrown potatoes, and slice of rye toast) -- daughter and I each ordered an 'Eggs Only Breakfast' (two scrambled eggs, shredded hashbrown potatoes, sourdough toast for her, and rye toast for me). Perfectly-sized portions, nice and hot from the kitchen, and very well-prepared ingredients. In and out in rather short order, after much-enjoyed breakfast meals -- feeling refreshed, and ready to head away for a few days in the mountains. read more

They say go big or go home. I'd recommend going big instead of going to Home Restaurant. All the cups and plates were kid sized. The salad was wilted, the cake slaw had no flavor and was dry and sour. The beef dip was miniature and the bread was hard and stale in places. The fries were the only thing lead me to a 2 star review. They were good. Service was decent but nothing to rave about. read more

What a great experience! I never understood why 2 of my friends are crazy about this place. They live in Burnaby and they take every opportunity to dine in this place. After today's lunch I must say I fully understand them. This place feels like back in the day when you would invite your friends over to your home for Thanksgiving dinner with your family. The food taste like mom spent all long preparing them for a very special occasion! I had the fish and chips. The fish is fresh and crispy, the French fries are toasty. The tartar sauce tastes fresh and you could tell they used fresh ingredients. Even the coleslaw is spot on (not watery). We also ordered the liver (not for me but my friend was devouring it as if she was in a race to finish as fast as she could!). The turkey dish with mashed potatoes was highly recommended by our server, Ryan, and we got to know why. This place caters to mature customers but hey bring your kids too! read more

My daughter, who at age 22 had a stroke previously, ordered a wine for her and myself. They refused her service due to her speach being impacted, and said she was drunk and refused her to service her request for a glass of wine. Personally, I regret paying the bill, as when we left, the manager followed us, and asked where we were going and threatened to call the police if we were driving. Horrible customer service as they don't regard medical issues and meddle in people's business when they leave the establishment read more

Food is okay for the high price tag. Service is great though. Last visit was 2 months ago. Wasn't impressed with the mountain man breakfast. Eggs over cooked, bacon sloppy. I like crisp. But maybe I should have mentioned that on the bacon. The hash downs were really good. Ham ok read more

Home Restaurant - Great beef dip at Home Restaurant in Maple ridge. Love the au jus as it was tasty but not salty - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Went for breakfast which was ok. I usually order my hashbrowns cooked a bit longer as most restaurants tend to serve them not fully cooked in the middle. I have asked this request at different restaurants & they have no problem accommodating this simple request. The waitress we had said flat out no. When I asked why she said it can mess up the production. I was surprised by them not doing it when I have had it done at this same restaurant before. I am very familiar with how restaurants run as my dad was a professional chef. I won't be back to the Maple Ridge location as my request was very easy & had been done before. I have never been to a restaurant before that would not perform a simple request. I will say you do have really good pies but won't be buying them anymore. read more

Can you say "Comfort Food"? Holy Turkey Dinner. Effing delish! I can't even really describe how amazing my meal was. I could eat just a plate full of their amazing stuffing with a helping of that hot and tasty gravy. It's seriously so good I think there might be crack in it: so so addicting and you just keep wanting more. And more. And then just a little bit more. read more

I've always been a fan of the Home Restaurant in Hope, so when I had a craving for lemon meringue pie, I had to make a mini trip to this one in Maple Ridge. Yes, it's a bit of a drive, but once you try the pie, you know why you would do it. For the entree I got the schnitzel champignon. 2 large pieces of schnitzel with gravy and mushrooms on top., with a side of mashed potatoes. The outside and light and crispy, and the inside is juicy and flavourful. I could only finish half of it. As always, the service is super friendly. I even asked for extra gravy and they didn't charge me extra, which is how it should always be. read more

I'm a big fan of this place, ever since it opened in 1997. There are several other locations around the province and they are always welcome sites when I am travelling or vacationing. Big portions. Comfort food. Great coffee. Massive pies. This place is usually busy with groups of folks getting together for brunch, or desserts and coffee. Great full turkey dinner, or farmers breakfast. It is diner fare. Not the crepe and cappucino crowd - but you certainly won't go away hungry. __ Just a quick note, although they close at 10, they have great pies for dessert and coffee, and have added British fare to their breakfast menu (Banger and Mash). read more

Came because I heard there was a free menu for kids under 2. I ordered the open faced Turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes - home cooking at its finest. Husband had the farmer's sausage, eggs, toast and hash browns. Baby had complimentary homemade Mac & cheese and a $1.79 fruit cup. Baby did not finish everything and server kindly offered to pack it up (we did). Everyone left full and satisfied. We will be back! read more

I love this place!! Awesome food for a good price. There is always something on the menu that I want to try. Huge portions. The pies are amazing! I love how you can get breakfast any time of the day not just durning certain times. The service is slow but worth the wait. Friendly staff. read more

Great North American food, with good size portions. Has some amazing black & white photos of Maple Ridge from way way back in the day. FYI : This location (it was under a dif. co. then, but supposedly same mang./owners) is legendary for Robin Williams entertaining the whole restaurant one day back in 1994 when he was in town filming Jumanji (1995). read more

As always the food is great. I love that everything is "Home-made". The service was lacking a bit which surprised me because the restaurant wasn't even close to full. I was looking forward to a piece of Lemon Meringue pie. I was not disappointed in the appearance or the taste. However, I was half way through and noticed something "green" in the crust. Instant turn off. Actually made me sick to my stomach. Turns out there was a package of "blue" jello that went everywhere when they opened it. The cook thought he had caught all the pies at where effected by this error. However, they missed this one. As they should have the pie was taken off the bill. Still left me wondering if the jello was blue how come the color was green in the pie crust? read more

Their food is pretty good and I love the breakfast dishes a lot. Would like to visit more often. Sometimes the food isn't as fresh and it should be, and you can argue that it is a bit more expensive than it should be. All in all, the food is good enough and the service matches that. read more

Home restaurant is always a solid bet! I love their breakfasts and of course, the pies! Friendly staff and good service, but food is sub par. Had eggs benedict, and while the eggs were done perfectly, I have no idea what went into the tasteless Hollandaise. Went in for the Thanksgiving special. Can say the only part that was quite good, was the pumpkin pie that came at the end. The friend I went with had liver, which they quite enjoyed and had a hard time finishing the meal. The amount of turkey that I received was about a quarter amount compared to the liver. I guess the little scoop of dressing was to make up for the amount of meat. The veg was some sort of baked concoction that you could not really tell what all was in it. This is usually a good place to eat, but I would never do the turkey special. I guess maybe I was hoping for something more like "Home". read more
