My experience at Fatburger Maple Ridge was one of the most humiliating and discriminatory encounters I have ever had in a public business. I am a disabled woman with a legitimate service dog, clearly identifiable and fully protected under British Columbia human rights law. Instead of being served like any other customer, I was treated with suspicion, stared at, interrogated, and made to feel as though I needed to justify my disability and medical accommodation to staff. That conduct is unlawful. Staff refused service, questioned me in an invasive and humiliating manner, and behaved as though my presence was a problem that needed to be examined or "verified." I was made to feel criminalized simply for existing as a disabled person. There was no professionalism, no apology, and no understanding of the law--only hostility and exclusion. This was not a misunderstanding or momentary confusion. It was a complete failure of training, management, and basic human decency. Under BC law, businesses do not get to decide whether a service dog is "real enough," nor are they permitted to interrogate disabled patrons or impose arbitrary standards. The duty is clear: you accommodate, or you discriminate. What occurred here meets the definition of prima facie discrimination. It is deeply disturbing that in 2025, a paying customer was subjected to this treatment. If this is how disabled patrons are handled, then this location is not safe, not inclusive, and not legally compliant. I will never return, and I strongly caution anyone with a disability or service animal to avoid this location. Corporate leadership should take this complaint seriously, as this conduct exposes the franchise to significant reputational and legal consequences. Do better. Train your staff. Learn the law. Disabled people are not criminals--and our service dogs are not up for debate. read more

Burger was delicious and big. Their "famous" chicken wings is just like an ordinary wings from other pub. Onion rings are good but greasy. Service and the place was good. Very expensive. Will not go back here. read more

Got wings from there... Seems like they were too lazy to add the sauce I had asked for. Basically got Wings with no sauce. They mistankingly put someone else's burger in my bag. I should have not said anything and taken that burger cuz the wings sucked like the ladys face who served me. Ahhh .. Now I feel better read more

Although a little on the pricier side for "fast-food" , Fatburger always delivers, the owner here is very attentive and you can tell they take pride in their business, quality & service is always great. Never had a bad burger or something I wouldn't order again. If you have a craving for a great burger & fries you can't go wrong giving this place a try. read more

Worst burger ever. I ordered the blackened cajun chicken burger and bun was so soggy it wasn't edible. I'm pretty sure they put soaking wet lettuce on it and then topped that off with way too much mayo. I ended up taking out the chicken which didn't taste like blackened anything. It was liked grilled chicken with some cajun spice sprinkled on it. All in all disgusting and a waste of money. read more

Overpriced burgers that aren't special. Person behind the counter couldn't hear me the entire time and I had to keep repeating myself. Employees did nothing to enforce social distancing with the customers, the cashier gently mentioned there is no dogs allowed in the restaurant and then proceeded to do nothing beyond that to enforce it. Big fan of the mushroom burger, and the chili cheese fries. One things thats nice is that they dont mind adding things like banana pepper or chipotle to spice it up. Hawaiian burger is pretty solid as well, a little saucy but thats half the fun. The only reason Its 4 is that is very expensive, and overall the wings are overpriced. For taste its great! read more

Really impressed!! Totally recommend!! My mom raved about a location near coquitlam ikea area saying how good it was and the service. So we went to a maple ridge one yesterday and boy was I impressed!! She was right. So worth the $! And it's cheep compared to others. The baby burger was huge and so filling! The toppings were so fresh!! Nice crispy lettuce and tomato. And the service was awesome. Makes me wonder if they are individually owned, cause it sure is ran well! Good job guys! My husband and I started eating at this establishment the moment it opened and loved the burgers and chicken strips so much so we ate there weekly until we had a bad experience with the so called manager. My husband always added an egg to his burger and we paid the extra charge with no problem. We had noticed since the beginning that the manager seem to make a habit of yelling at the staff for not doing something right and didn't seem to know how to run the till properly but seemed somewhat pleasant to the customers. We went in one night and I went to the counter where the manager was taking orders and I gave him our usual order with an egg on my husband's burger, but the manager messed up the order on the till so he had to cancel it and start over. I asked him if he wanted me to repeat my order and he said no he knew what I wanted. When our ordered was delivered to our table my husband notice the egg was missing so I went to the counter to let the girl know that the egg was missing. She brought out a fried egg and when she gave it to my husband the manager came over to ask if there was a problem and I said "yes, I ordered an egg for the burger" to which he replied "no you didn't". Of course I was stunned by the response so I said that we always order an egg on the burger to which he replied "are you calling me a liar" again I was so stunned that anyone in a management position would talk to a customer that way I couldn't even talk! I looked at my husband and he was looking at me like what is wrong with this guy as he is raising his voice. I told him I know exactly what I ordered and maybe if he hadn't of messed it up in the first place he would know what I ordered as well. Needless to say I have spoken to a number of people that live in our community and they have had the same experience with this East Indian Manager as recently as last week. We like the food at Fat Burger but we have not set foot in this restaurant since our experience and will go out of our way to go to the Coquitlam location where they know what customer service is! read more
