Wow, A&W has done a really good job rebranding themselves. Especially at this location. Parking is available in the strip mall out front. They weren't doing so hot when they pushed their "1950s" theme. It's simply too irrelevant to all but the baby boomers. Now it looks like they've polished their image in a funky retro way. If I were to use a car analogy, the PT Cruiser and Chevy HHR come to mind. And it works. It no longer looks like dingy or beaten up, but nice and shiny. The place is covered in neat (fake) vintage posters, with a "pipes" theme in the dining area. One curious feature that my buddy and I always wanted to try was the self-ordering kiosk. We weren't sure how well it would work. But the menus were straightforward, and we got our order placed after a short learning curve. A couple of minutes later, and our food was ready. While we only had the fries today, the kitchen did look cleaner and more bright than other locations. I will also say that the fries were also pleasant crispy. Next time I'll be back for a burger.

Great to see this one open in the past year in this posh side of Vancouver, no need to drive to Marine Drive's galore of fast food w/ Mcdonalds & Wendy's. 2 mozza burgers for $7 is a steal here, or a hot pho next door for the same price. Just depends on your mood. But do find their floats have either lost their allure, or just prefer a real milkshake. Like the modern look, with the heavy emphasis on the orange theme, good marketing. free wifi, another star. But parking does suck here in its tiny lot, so 49th Ave. is the way to go, just watch out for those cars flying down.

Out of onion rings? Pfffft. Brutally slow service. Won't be going back to this location. Ever.

The atmosphere is completely average, the music is way too loud, the cheeseburger is very ordinary, and the burger itself is almost flavorless. We happened to get a parking spot right in front of Burger Crush so after a bit of shopping on Granville St., we decided to stop for an afternoon snack at Burger Crush before getting into our car to drive somewhere else. We shared an order of Vegan Crush Fries and Vegan Nuggets between the three of us. Also ordered a Vegan Milkshake and shared that with my daughter. Grandma wasn't so much into the milkshake part of the snack. Vegan Crush Fries were just as good as last time. Grandma commented several times on how tasty they were. That's a big win in my books. Always happy to hear of anything that makes my mom happy! I enjoyed the crispiness of the Vegan nuggets but flavor wise I think they were just OK. The dip is very much needed for these nuggets. On their own, they don't really have much flavor. I recommend breaking them into smaller pieces and then dipping those smaller pieces before eating them as they were piping hot and biting into it as is might burn your tongue. Found that out the hard way! I was pretty impressed with how well the nuggets retained their heat! Loved the Vegan milkshake! We ordered the Vanilla flavored Vegan milkshake and it was soooo good. The menu says that it's made from coconut milk ice cream. I couldn't taste any coconut milk flavor. All I tasted was Vanilla and it was sooooo good! Super impressed with the Vegan milkshake at Burger Crush. They absolutely crushed it with their Vegan milkshake!

We tried the Double Smash Burger (incredible caramelized edges and melt-in-your-mouth cheddar), the Curry Chicken Bap (a sweet and spicy dream with McDonnell's curry sauce), and their crispy, seasoned Shaking Gems--which are honestly addictive. We also loved that they use fresh, local ingredients and offer options for vegan, gluten-free, and Halal diets. The staff was friendly, the vibe was fun, and everything tasted fresh and made with care. Great for a night out, post-party cravings, or any time you're hungry for something real. I ordered the mushroom smash and upgraded to tater tots, and you get a choice of "flavour" for tater tots - I chose all dressed. The all-dressed flavour did not really come out very much so i just dipped it in the provided ketchup. When it first came out, there was a mixup in my order and it came out with plain fries - they were quick to fix their error and there was a generous portion of tater tots for the $6 upgrade fee. I'm not usually a fan of smash burgers but I have to say this one was cheesy and flavourful and I would get it again!

There is a speakeasy called The Stock Room in the back of Hundy where one can enjoy cocktails and burgers together. We sat at the bar at Stock Room and in addition to our drink orders, we ordered a couple of burgers and fries. Both the burger and fries were delicious. The meat was juicy and flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy. This is definitely a return for us the next time we visit Vancouver.

After going to a local sporting event and looking for a late night bite to eat, we decided to come give them a try. The interior is quite minimalist, and the menu is simple. My husband wanted to try their bacon cheeseburger while I ordered a classic cheeseburger. We ordered one set of classic french fries and one set of poutine fries. While they were preparing our food, we made our way down the long hallway to the back where the speakeasy was located. We just wanted to peek our heads in, but didn't stay for a drink. The cool thing about Hundy is that the speakeasy will serve their food while apparently also serving up some tasty cocktails. But back to Hundy and the food. The cheeseburger was absolutely delicious and the french fries were cooked to crispy golden perfection. As for the poutine, it was some of the best that we had on our trip. So speakeasy aside, if you're looking for a good burger in Vancouver, I would definitely come check out Hundy.
