I like A&W. This location. There are plentiful parking, if you park upstairs. Downstairs is a lot busier being the fact that No Frills is there. So came here for dinner with my parents. I got a teen burger. Wow good quality and very tasty. A&W is known for their root beer. So must get that. Also note that this A&W has weekly special. Wednesday being the best deal 2 teen burgers with fries and drink for $10.99. Also, the location is pretty clean and well maintained. I would definitely come back. read more

For a fast food burger place always liked A&W over similar big chain competitors for the quality and taste of their food. Not gourmet for sure but sometimes you only have 15 minutes on the road to get food and here is convenience in a package. Newly opened replacing the Muffin Break that struggled in long past the glory days. Not a lot of fast food places in the area so a welcome addition. Lots of parking on road and attached shopping strip mall. Food is as you get everywhere with this chain. It was open only for a few weeks when I went and the staff seemed a little disoriented but friendly enough. Limited seating inside and they do have patio seating outside when the weather is playing nice. read more

No better or worse than other A&Ws, but pay attention to the extra charges (bag fee and cup fee). Maybe the staff are underhandedly adding the charges or maybe it's just automated (but they should still ask whether it's for here or to go), I can't say with any certainty; however, every time I go here and eat in person, they try to charge me the bag and cup fee even if they serve it to me on a tray and in a mug to eat in at the location. This is a total misuse of the bylaw by a corporation that is profiting (and I'm sure not giving back to green and recycling causes). This should be exposed or City Council should provide investigative resources into shady practices like this. read more

My favorite burger spot in Kits. They have the best fast food breakfest sandwich in town, with efficient service and quiet, clean spaces. Most importantly, they go above and beyond to provide a welcoming space. Robin, especially is FANTASTIC. He is extremely hospitable and warm. Always goes out of his way to greet me with a smile, ask about my day, and check in occasionally during the meal . He takes the initiative to ask about the about the music, outlets, AC; going out of his way to make every visit is perfect. Thinking of everything before you need to ask. The food is good, prices are as expected, bit the service here was bad. The guy taking my order kept turning away from me as O was ordering to chat with one of the girls in the back. Not one hello, please, thank you or you're welcome the whole time we were there. Not even a smile. Food is standard A&W fare but that's besides the point. I'm here to talk customer service. My boyfriend and I come here to study every now and then as we find there's always seats, free outlets, wifi, and air conditioning (unlike a certain popular coffee shop just down the street!). But that isn't even the best part. The staff here are AMAZING. Probably the nicest I've ever experienced at any fast food joint. They walk out and bring your order to you if you're eating in. If you ask for a cup of water, they put it in an icy frosted glass for you free of charge. Robin especially always remembers us and makes us feel welcomed, despite only having come here a few times. He even asked us the last time we came to just come talk to him if we wanted the music changed or turned up or down, to help us with our studying. So kind! I live a block away from here , it's a joke but only place open . I have paid to add cheese probably 40 times and not had cheese and never been compensated . The food is also always cold after midnight. Last night I got two chicken buddy burgers and they were so old they were freezing cold. Not even slightly warm. I was super hungry and tired so I ate them anyways . Big mistake . I've been sick since 7am this morning . There is literally never not an issue here . How hard to make a damn burger . One day I literally ordered a chicken burger with cheese, I got no cheese , then I return told the issue and ordered a bacon and egg English muffin , I got a sausage and egger on a bun, so I return one final time and ask for a BLT chicken burger with no bacon sub cheese . I no joke was given a bun, chicken, and lettuce ... no cheese no tomato no nothing . I am never offered apologies or refunds , I just pay over and over for wrong orders . The 2 girls there are so lazy it's ridiculous . I'm finally writing a review as I have food poisoning . Another time a guy got locked in bathroom and fire department had to come , they got him out and told the " manager " to make sure bathroom was out of order . As soon as they left she had the nerve to tell the 20 year old guy he didn't know how to unlock a door , and super rudely. Then continued to leave it open for next customer and said nothing was wrong . I could write a 100 page review , it's literally getting comical how bad this place is and how much those two girls don't care AT ALL. Rude , horrible, incorrect service . I've worked in restaurants for 15 years and this is the worst shit I've ever seen hands down . read more
