This was my second time having Petite Bao and they were as good as I remember. The first time I ordered from here was through Uber Eats, but this time I stopped by their location for pick up. They have a small dine-in space, I would not more than group of 4 can dine-in but it is sooo cute!! Their neon lights and bao logos give it a very cute cafe look. We ordered: :: Buttermilk fried chicken bao - their fried chicken that they put inside the bao is HUGE but seasoned very well and I LOVED the crispness of it. Their Cucumber Kimchi tasted really good in the bao. It also had coleslaw, honey mustard, jalapeno, and lemon dressing :: Pork belly bao - also very well seasoned! The pork belly was very soft and really melted in your mouth. It came with sesame sauce, lemongrass BBQ sauce, scallion, shiso, and pickle onion :: Szechuan wings - I wish I had them at the restaurant when they were hot! It didn't taste as good after I got it home. It was still pretty good, the flavours were strong! I would definitely go back again! Their portion sizes are big and their service is so friendly!! The staff were so warm and welcoming.

Asian fusion burger place - the premise is mainly burgers/sandwiches on bao buns. The restaurant has lots of seating, has a bright and cheerful aesthetic, and is very clean. You order and pay at the counter and food and water is brought to you. Maybe it's just because I went at a quiet time, but the cashier/server that helped me totally went above and beyond to give me a comfortable experience. I got the Impossible Bao. It was really good! The confit tomato and scallion made the burger taste like something from a "gourmet" burger restaurant, and the fresh, soft bao was a delicious change from a regular burger bun. I also enjoyed the complimentary small bowl of caramel corn brought out as a little appetizer. They have canned kombucha and water kefir by Mothership, whose products I don't think I've seen in stores, so being a kombucha fan I tried the piña colada kombucha. Very good with a kind of different flavour. It contains hibiscus, which I don't love but took a chance on because I do love piña colada, and the hibiscus wasn't overpowering it all. If fermented stuff is not your jam, they have flavoured Cokes and other soft drinks too, and coffee. The menu offers many options for burgers with 2 vegetarian burgers. Just in terms of vegetarian options, I personally would love to see a vegetarian option that leans more into the Asian element of the Asian fusion, but the options they have now are still good. Would return.

SOFTEST BUNS EVER. My boyfriend and I stopped here on our "day of eating one thing at every place on our list in BC," and the amount of REGRET we had ... when we realized we should have ordered way more here!! Staff is super sweet, brings out your meal to you when it's ready. Food is delectable. Soft buns, best flavorful additions. Need to come back here again when I'm in BC! Small space but quite a few tables, it had a nice laidback feel.

Stumbled into this cute Bao place and was quite surprised. Think of your favorite burger options but replace the normal bun with a cute homemade Bao with their logo stamped on. Super cute. At first I thought prices were steep but when you actually look at it, price is justified. Plus this place supports local by utilizing their protein/produce so thumbs up for that. You get premium burger proteins and a home made Bao bun which in my opinion is a more value justified bun than your standard hamburger buns. They do have a happy hour menu which offers their fried chicken and some other options at a discounted price. Wagyu Bao - Succulent Beef, Oozy Cheese, Bacon. Delicious. I didn't even mind the grease afterwards. Pork Belly Bao - the belly pieces were tender and juicy & my mom didn't complain about it so it passed the mark on that. Buttermilk Fried Chicken Bao - chicken had a slight crunch & was seasoned well. My party "Combo" size up so Combo comes up Parmesan Cajun Fries (or mixed salad- we opted for the fries) & a soft drink (or kombucha). Party opted for Vanilla Coke & since my mom didn't want either pop or kombucha, they offered her an Americano. Staff was friendly and offered up recommendations. No complaints.

This is my first time here and it's sooo cute? Their baos were definitely not petite but it was super soft and flavourful! We got to try some of their OG Classics and some new items! * Canadian wagyu bao ($20) ~ this was juicy, the meat was so juicy and tender the juices were definitely there! The cheese was perfectly melted on and paired so well with the condiments, it's definitely a rich burger, super well seasoned and the bao was super soft. 7/10. * Buttermilk fried chicken bao ($13) ~ I really liked this, the super crispy well seasoned fried chicken paired so well with the kimchi cucumber slaw and the bun was a nice soft chewy texture paired with the crunchy juicy chicken. It was very well seasoned! 7.5/10 * Motherlove pina colada ~ I really enjoyed drinking this, it was not sweet but a very good pina colada distinct flavour. It was fizzy and perfect for a non alcoholic pina colada. 10/10 * Kombucha holy hibiscus ~ this definitely tasted like hibiscus and kombucha, it was nicely fermented and lowkey tasted like a fruit beer without the alcohol. 8/10. * Parmesan Cajun fries ($7) ~ absolutely a must try! The fries were so well seasoned and the Parmesan was so nicely topped. I loved the aioli sauce and ketchup and it really helps cut the richness from the other sides. 9/10. * Corn croquette (NEW)-$9~ this was a new item and the corn almost a hint of curry flavour is a nice vegetarian options. The sauce topped paired well with the croquette, I did wish it had more corn. 6.5/10 * Salted egg yolk shrimp croquette (NEW) -$13~ bomb this was rich and flavourful and loaded with salted egg yolk. The shrimp was nice and bouncy and I liked the crispy exterior. 9/10 * Overall this place is ultra cute and they have such a variety when it comes to sides for their cute soft well seasoned food.

Discovered this gem on the world of IG - and instantly thought those baos are pretty cute! - so here we are. They have a happy hour that starts at 2PM - where there are select items at a discounted price - which included there Fried chicken bao! Petite Bao - is very clean - almost a sparkle to it. - they have some music playing - but it's quite quiet - so you can easily carry a conversation! - The service team was on point - and made great suggestions - and was quite knowledgeable about their products - she also reminded us about the Happy hour menu ! https://www.instagram.com/vanleo.eatsfood1015/ Cajun fries was quite good - came along with there special sauce which was pretty tasty. The fried chicken bao was seasoned nicely and had a minor crunch too it. Pork Belly bao - super tender and juicy - flavors were pretty subtle - so you won't be overwhelmed. Wagyu Bao - the combination of cheese, bacon and beef just blended so nicely - I liked that the baos weren't super greasy or anything. They contained sauces but like your hands wont be drenched with that oily feeling like your holding a wet oil drenched burger bun. So the Bao wins without a doubt! This was closer to a 4.5 for me! The misses was - Drink options was pretty small/ you have different flavor cokes and Kombuchas but not much else. They also have Americanos - but even then I think more options is needed! Overall crunch taste wasn't quite high enough for me. Maybe a bit more batter for the fried chicken? But craving a deeper crispier feel.

4.5* pushed to a 5* This is an easy win for these guys. The name is a misnomer. It's not petite at all. See my pics. They're not small. There are three fried chicken sandwiches in my top three, not in ay particular ranking, but here they are: 1. Petite Bao 2. Le Coq Frit 3. Their There If you've tried all of them, you'll know what I'm talking about. Each one has their merits. That said, here are the main differences/stand outs with Petite Bao: 1. The bun is a traditional steamed bun typically used with BBQ pork buns at dim sum. It's pillowy soft 2. The bun is then split in half and either toasted or grilled for the sandwich. I'm guessing it was grilled. 3. The seasonings/sauces are a mixture of Asian and Western. In this case, I'll say they did it beautifully to my surprise. The fried chicken bao: Very crispy with a hint of five spice powder. Not overwhelming at all, and with a slight bit of heat. The tempura fish bao: This one is a stand out for me. Quite delicious. You'll have to try it. Calamari: Again, with a hint of Asian influnces but cooked up with western techniques. The sauce was another standout. It's GREEN and delicious. I've never had a green sauce with calamari. Shiso aioli. Wonderful pairing. Breakfast baos were a surprise. Buy one get one free. I'm not sure whether this was a promo or what. More details below. The deets: I ordered by phone. I didn't use the online service. Guess what? 10% off each item if you call in to pickup. I can't recall what the reason was for the buy one get one free breakfast bao, either way, they offered it to me right away. The point of all of this? Call in to order. These details are not on the online service, and you save the charge for the online pick up bag that eventually ends up in a landfill. Bring our own bag for pick up. Rewards. On my first order, I got enough points for truffle fries. There will be a repeat visit.

Visited Petit Bao for thé first time and tried their new breakfast sandwiches, Pork Belly Poutine $13 and fermented Pina Colada New Menu Items: 1) Sausage & Egg Bao Burger - $13 Homemade Sausage, Sunny Side Up Egg, Confit Tomato, Leek, Thousand Island Sauce, Cheddar Cheese 2) Scrambled Egg Bao Burger - $12 Soft Scrambled Egg, Bacon, Caramelized Onion, Espelette Mayo, Cheddar Cheese, Scallion My favourite was the Scrambled Egg Bao Burger and my significant other's favourite was the Sausage & Egg Bao Burger. Make sure to also try their special fermented drinks; they are refreshing and were unlike anything I had drank before. Parking 3.5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5

I'm not a huge burger fan but found myself in the area. We got the fried chicken burger, teriyaki chicken burger, daily soup (cauliflower) and grilled squid. Everything was made fresh to order and the flavors were plentiful yet well balanced. To top it off, we got a free bowl of popcorn while waiting for our food. Service was friendly and I would definitely go back.

Ordered in from Petite Bao on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by this experience! I ordered the Pork Belly Bao which was extremely tasty. The Pork Belly was juicy and succulent, while the Bao was very fresh. The pickled onions were a great accompaniment. Bonus marks for the logo bao's! The fries were also a really good side accompaniment! The spice sauce provided with the fires were excellent and hit the spot! Will definitely try to go in for a dining in experience if ever in the area, highly recommend this spot!

I haven't reviewed anything in ages but this place inspired me. I had the tempura fish burger, which was wonderful and fresh with a nice hint of yuzu. The buns are soft and delicious. You get a little bowl of popcorn while you wait, too, which is a nice touch. Didn't have to wait long though! Would definitely head back here again to try other things.

Good quality meal wrapped up in a box. The portion is actually deceptively large - at first I thought it was a bit on the pricy side but after seeing the thick solid piece of protein and way-larger-than-BigMac box, it was quite justified . Both the pork and fish were excellent - juicy and freshly made. The toppings and sauces added a very nice touch to the flavours. The buns were fluffy yet somehow was able to hold up to all the juice and sauce all the way until the end - an unsung hero!

I don't know how they do it but it's incredibly affordable and the quality of food is impressive! I got their Veggies on Fire (Cheddar, lettuce, sprouts, tomato, cucumber, green pepper, pickles, red onion, banana peppers, Dijon, spicy mayo - Hot Sauce: Dawson's Shawarma). This was $8. Plus I added waffle fries, which I don't even care for. But these were heavily seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sandwiches come with chips but you can't miss the fries. You can choose which breads you want and I choose sourdough. Highly recommend that you toast that bread. The sandwich was huge and staked with so many veggies. The hot sauce was very mild but paired so well. The service was phenomenal! Above and beyond and so friendly. The place gets quite busy, understandable, and they are still so patient and friendly. There are some small tables for two along with high tables. I ordered the 'hot' sandwich, chicken parm. I was expecting crispy chicken parm with yummy cheese and rich tomatoe sauce. Let's be honest, the star of this show is the bread! The baguette was warm, soft and so delicious. However, that's where the excitement stopped for me. The chicken with breading was soggy and the pesto and mozzarella was such a small amount, it felt like a soggy chicken sandwich with lots of bread. If they put more pesto dressing, more mozzarella cheese and more tomatoe sauce, I could have looked past the soggy chicken. All in all, I'm glad it tried it, the bread is amazing, and I'll come back to try a 'cold' sandwich to see if the other options are better!
