    Cadbury McFlurry

My late night craving's are always McDonald's McFlurry's! I love their ice cream, even if it's raining outside. Recently, I tried there Cadbury McFlurry on a cold night. It was delicious although it was kind of melted because the line up was huge!

I made it my mission to visit a McDonald's while in Canada and finally made it here right before heading over to the airport. This McDonald's isn't the cleanest and is quite small, but what I'm really here is the food anyways. We ordered two of their new sandwiches --the Seriously Chicken. We got one with Jalapeño and Guacamole and the other with Tomato and Mozzarella, but honestly; just get the Jalapeno and Guacamole one because it already comes with tomato and mozzarella (unless you don't like those add-ons, I guess). We had the chicken fried, which was yummy and gave it a good crunch. I also absolutely had to order the Canadian only items on the menu: Poutine Fries and Blueberry Crumble Sundae. The fries are slathered in a light gravy and topped with cheese curds that gave it a delicious cheesiness! I'm normally not a fan of poutine in general, so I was delightfully surprised with this one. As for the sundae, it tasted just as amazing as it sounded and definitely a favorite of mine.

This is a small McDonald's location compared to most. Ordering on the McDonald's app was easy. Order came up efficiently.

Any McDonald's that has prime realestate in the city of Vancouver should be busy, this one is without a doubt one that maximizes on it's small space and usually when you are here there are lineups near.. if not out the door. This one is nicely located on Broadway near Cambie, and with the amount of foot-traffic here, and people still needing their fix of Ronald, well you are coming here, no question about it. For all the cheap eats that McDonald's provides, there is still a loyal following, or more like a familiar taste that you know is not the best thing for you, but you know what your getting when you come here! As with all the locations that have gone the full reno... this one has the full LED digital screen menu that stretches a few panels above when you are at the order counter. On any day you wonder that they are not getting through the line that's building up in that same human lineup you are in, maybe it's understaffing or maybe cause it's actually that busy... and usually it really is... and behind the counter is a team effort, with the crew chief calling out the fresh (how fresh is McD's) orders coming out on a tray or paper bag. Anytime they have their free coffee or $1 drink specials.. well cause this is near a bus stop.. and even though you shouldn't be drinking on a bus, it's the most convenient location, and you know people jumping on the infamous B-line probably have a burger in one hand, fries between their legs holding the bag, and drink in other. The times I have been here having something, it comes as advertised and constructed. In this area it's quite a distance to the next golden arches, so if your needing this fix, well here it is, expect to wait, but this one ain't bad, and if you need a place to sit around, there's some seats here and a small tv!

Wish there are more seats. This is a small little McDonald's that close to Canada line. I love going here because of its location. Its always busy and of course hard to find a seat. Its good if you have it to go. Food is the same at every McDonald's. Staff are friendly. And yes the food is ready very quickly.

I am not a fan of McDonalds or any fast food joint for that matter but this place does have great specialty coffees. Service is generally pretty fast here too and in all fairness the staff here work in a very stressful location that is busy. Free Wifi is a bonus for a quick in and out. The staff should try and make more of an effort to keep the bathrooms clean though. The food is quick and if you're in a pinch it makes a quick meal. I ordered a poutine and it was made fresh but cant be compared to that of a true Poutine from Quebec :)

Pleasant enough, for a McDonald's. Munched down on my classic junior chicken, fries, and a Fruitopia! Mmm...

I'm a sucker for a good multi-roaster cafe, and Revolver is a fantastic one. They serve up beans from all over, and they do it right, thanks to staff with eyes (and noses) for detail. Barista Soho and I chatted about NYC[1], and he told me La Cabra has a bakery there[2]. Savored a lovely pourover from Toronto[3], served hot. That very same day, I returned and had a decaf espresso that slapped[4]. Ample seating. A fair bit of natural light somehow makes it into the shop. Good for a date, coworking (especially in their next door "Archive" space), catching up with friends AND discovering coffee from around the world. Find this shop in Gastown, a short walk from the SeaBus station. [1] Yes, his name was Soho. Not SoHo. [2] Saved for my next trip to the East Village. [3] Saw Dak on the menu, but I'll be in Amsterdam sooner rather than later... [4] No idea what it was. Besides, the menu'll change before I find out[5]. [5] I love footnotes!

Revolver is what I'd consider a multi-roaster shop with a focus on the coffee first. The bar is made up of high quality small batch grinders, perfect for grinding fresh for each cup, and a long line of pour over setups to give each cup the attention it deserves. Behind the bar you can see an Aiden by Fellows for quick batch brewing quality beans to the standards of the specialty coffee association or quick recipe testing. The menu is predominantly descriptions of the coffees they're currently brewing with a few classic and simple coffee preparations like a latte and a cortado, but nothing too involved because they focus on the coffee itself. I really liked how they separated the coffees by flavor profile so you could key in on the type of beans and roast you prefer. They offered several natural, honey, and anerobic options, which made me happy. My friend isn't a coffee geek like I am, so it was fun to see which he gravitated to and enjoy that alongside my choice, which was totally opposite. The barista side of the shop is long and narrow, with the bar predominating, but there's a great sitting area right next door that I didn't even notice until we were leaving. I'd hoped to buy a bag of beans to take with me but none of the ones we tried were available. Good sign I suppose, but sad for me. Next time!

We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.
