Jack in the Box. My go to fast food whenever I visit! I ordered the double cheeseburger with curly fries. It was delicious as always and it was their special of the day. Love that it's always fresh made and better than most fast food burgers. Also had their fish sandwich which was good. Not great but good. Nothing that really stood out. Their curly fries are always on point. I always debate in my head whether I like the loose ones or the ones that look like coil springs. The coils are "potatoey" and the others are more crispy. This place is always out of something so I stopped going. It's been an on-going issue and I don't know why they haven't tried to fix it.

I see that the reviews are all over the board for this JITB restaurant. All I can add is, my experience here this past weekend was great. The location in the Birch Bay outdoor mall is super convenient, as it's close to the border and it's right off the I-5 highway, with lots of parking too. My kid and I didn't use the drive-thru here; we went inside. The girl taking our order at the counter was friendly and efficient. I ordered the southwest salad with grilled chicken, and two iced coffees. Everything was good. The salad was fresh, the chicken was good (if a bit rubbery), the portions were large enough to share. Coffees were terrific. Can't beat the price, too. I like how they have one of those "Coca Cola Free" machines whereby you can customize your Coke beverage. Bonus points given for the large, clean, well-stocked bathroom. read more

Our sprinter van could not fit through the drive-through so we decided to order on foot. It was 11 o'clock at night and our family had just gotten through the Canadian border after spending a lovely week in Whistler. Everyone was hungry:) After waiting in line for 15+ minutes and finally getting to the pick up window my daughter and I were informed that they would not give us our food since we were on foot. I'm all about policies and procedures but throwing away $50 worth of food seems a little ridiculous. You couldn't pay me to return there. And I will tell everyone I know about it :-) read more

I must be delirious to give a fast food joint a 4 star but I just broke virgin ground, never been here til now, kinda unbelievable but I digress... Seriously, after crossing the border, I must've driven by here a zillion times, looks big from the highway but really, medium-sized, maybe 40 seats. Just high and big, a stand alone building, by the supermarket. Played it safe, ordered the Sirloin w/ swiss cheese and onions (that's what caught my eye), guy asked if I wanted bacon, and for 60 cents, though 2 thinly cut small pieces, it's well worth the added taste. What blew me away: the bun! soft as a pillow, would make some burger real restaurants envy, as pic shows. Loved their house sauce too, and fresh veggies. A bit overkill on the pickles, but real ones, bigger than what you get a mcdonald's. But it's not cheap for 'fast food', almost $7 just for the burger alone! well, i opted out for the combo ($1.80 extra0 just for health reasons *smirk*. It did take a few more minutes, but that's possibly a good thing, so maybe it's true what they say, they only make it after it's been ordered, implying it's fresh and not sitting around lol. Ok. I guess I need a life! I woke kind of late for me... about 10 am.... I was feeling down so I decided to go out and do something. I ended up driving down to the States to pick up a parcel for my friend, and spend the day at Bellis Fair Mall. I guess it's a way to kill a boring Tuesday hey? After picking up my friend's package I picked up some water and gas. I as I was heading down to Bellis Fair I decided to stop at the Jack In the Box for a quick lunch. Anyways I ended up order a Sourdough burger combo (with curly fries, and a small soft drink). Overall, I was kind of grossed out by the whole experience! Ok the fries were pretty good. Curly, seasoned, and a bit oily... The burger I was not happy with. Jack in the Box advertises that they don't start building your burger till you order it... too bad they don't heat up your burger after they build it for you! My burger was lukewarm... shading towards down right cold. Nothing I hate more than a cold burger! Guess I wasn't that hungry.... I chomped down 1/2 of it and trashed the rest. I know Jack in the Box is a fast food joint, but I think they should take the time to heat up their food to a decent level! I won't be coming back to this location in the next future!!! read more

I ordered a meal with 4 tacos and took it home as take out. I like their tacos usually but these were absolutely soaking wet and soggy in grease to a level like they looked water logged. They were disgusting and I feel sick trying to eat them. I called the business several times during open hours and nobody answered the phone and you can't leave a message. I don't care about the money because tge meal was not too expensive but their quality sucked and they did me wrong so I'm leaving them tge wall of shame 1 star yelp review wishing they would just hire and train capable managers and chefs. It my last three times I have visited the drive thru, it takes way too long. expect 20 minutes or longer. When I pulled up to the speaker to order after the next car pulled forward, nobody greets you or asks to take your order or at least say it will be a couple of minutes. When they finally address you they ask "did I already take your order" no Hello, no how can I help you?, no what can I get started for you?. On my most recent visit I placed an order online and picked up in the drive thru. When I got home 5 miles away. My order was missing my sandwich. So I had to drive 10 miles round trip to get it resolved. When I returned to the store while waiting to speak to somebody, two employees by the deep fryer were making rude comments about each other with comments of harming each other and then after a customer pulled away from the window they made unfriendly comments about the customer. By the time getting home all the rest of our meal was cold. First of all with this location definitely plan for extra time, don't expect good service. If you can, definitely choose Lynden, Ferndale, or Bellingham. You will definitely have a better experience. read more

Great location. Lots of parking space. Great menu selection. Quality is what you would expect from a fast food joint - OK but not great. The 3 Jalapeno Poppers are a bit pricey at $3.49! Each is like half the size of a finger! They taste good, though. One glaring negative is the bad customer service at the front -- the non-friendly young lady made you feel like you owe her service. Stopped by tonight for a quick drive thru meal and once I got to the window was greeted by Dante at the birch bay location. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I've EVER had at a drive thru. He was so delightful and funny, he had me cracking up from the moment I pulled up! This guy is awesome and jack in the box is lucky to have him on their team! He went above and beyond making sure we had sauce and everything we needed as well as making us smile and laugh during the whole 3 minutes at the window. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE! I have never gone there without something I order, they have run out of. This is a big problem. The heart-shattering disappointment that this "restaurant" brings is dynamic and flexible. They find new ways to not fulfill your order with each visit. Service is incredibly slow, with the most recent visit showing a 20 minute wait before food was served. Management seems to be the issue, as they were out of medium lids at the time. The staff are generally quite friendly, though they seem uniformly weary, most likely from the unending tirade of complaints from other visitors. We chose not to complain to the staff as it seems unfair to subject them to that sort of interaction when the problems are most assuredly endemic to the location itself. read more

Thursday March 21st around 10:30am I went through the drive through in Blaine after leaving an appointment in the area. I ordered jalapeno poppers. (Have been my favorite for years since it's filled with cheese and not cream cheese). The first bite taste off but I thought to myself that I don't eat fast food hardly ever so maybe I'm just not use to something deep fried. So I ate a second one, NOPE something was completely off. Within 5 miles of driving toward Bellingham. I had to pull off of i5 and RUN for a bathroom. Not sure what the deal was but the taste was definitely off and it was not in just the one it was in both that I ate. Threw the rest away. Not leaving a 1 star because it could have been a bad batch or a fluke but I am leaving a review so its noted. My daughter and my son ordered home style ranch chicken club and they cut in half and I ordered 2 tacos for 99 cent . The chicken was good , the tacos was ok. The staff was friendly. This place is as good as fast food gets. I do not know what to really write about a fast food place, but I will say this: the service is great and the food is hot and amazing. Also, always order the Portobello Mushroom Buttery Jack whenever they bring it back for a limited time. Worst service I have ever experienced. I pulled into line and there was one vehicle ahead of me who was not in front of the order screen. There were three vehicles in front of here. After 17 minutes the line had not moved. When I finally got to the order screen it was 20 minutes. The person taking the order was coarse. After another five minutes there were two people in front of me and the line had not moved. I jumped the curb and left. I find this operation inept, with no consideration for their customers. Top tip.... Eat somewhere else Dirty restroom.....Very Slow service.... Long wait for two hamburgers.... got back to the car found that I had been given wrong order.... Guess some other person got my order? I really couldn't be bothered to wait 15 min again so tossed the bag over the counter into an empty 'kitchen' and went somewhere else for lunch....
