Definitely not the best Five Guy that I have ever been to. The burger was soggy, bun was cold and fries were pretty sad looking. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. Glad that there are plenty of free parking here. The place is pretty short staffed and the staff are working as fast as they could. When I went there were only four staff onsite. The service and staff were friendly, but this review is based soley on the food. The burgers were falling apart, soggy, cold, and underseasoned. The fries were overcooked and some of them were burnt and again underseasoned. They have salt and pepper packets that you could use, but I found I could not eat them unless I had ketchup to go with them and I rarely use ketchup on fries. It's 5 guys, it's burgers, they are pretty good. Certainly this place doesn't need a review but heck, why no. I recommend the burgers, and the hot dogs, and the fries, and the milk shakes. One thing I do not recommend are the sandwiches. It's not that they are terrible or anything just not my preference. This place is usually clean enough. Although they are from "the other Washington," they're pretty good. Five Guys was founded on the principal of a simple menu where every burger is cooked to order from fresh, locally produced ingredients and served hot exactly the way it was requested. It's a no-frills operation that prizes fast, friendly counter service and consistently good food in a clean, well-kept environment. These are not Gourmet Burgers (though they are better than most) and they are not there cheapest play in town, but the food here is good and nobody eating here will walk away hungry. I put in a mobile order at like 9pm and picked up in store, everything was fine, got my food and left. Upon opening my burgers for me and my partner at home (We ordered one regular 2 patty burger and one single patty burger so 3 patties), there was one burger completely devoid of meat, not even one single patty, and the other burger had one measly patty. You can imagine how much I wanted to K word myself seeing that nonsense after I just spent $25 for two burgers and fries and tipped 20% on my order to get literally nothing at all. If you are truly famished while waiting for your freshly-cooked order, you can calm your hunger pangs with a fist full of shelled peanuts. Scoop some from the large box near the "Order Here" line. The drink machine is a dream come true. Coca Cola added an LCD panel that allows you to drill down to make fine selections. It was fun watching two elderly ladies marvel over the choices. They selected non-caffeinated drinks, then lemonade, and laughed out loud when the lemonade page displayed about six different flavors. Even I was shocked at all of the different Coca Cola combinations that existed. I spoke to the guy in charge of this franchise. He said the company got its start in Virginia in the 80s (which is why they torture you with tunes from the same decade) with four brothers and their dad. They skipped college and instead sunk their savings into this business. I'd say their ROI was worth it as they are still expanding in the US and overseas. Locations on Oahu (Mililani, Kapolei and Pearlridge) will open in late 2016 and early 2017. "Man Breaks Into Five Guys, Makes Himself Cheeseburger" was an actual ABC news headline on April 10, 2016. We were returnng back form Vancouver and stopped by the Bellingham Five Guys. Interesting entrance, where you can scoop up some peanuts if you want. I wanted a burger--I am no an elephant. The order taker was super friendly and funny, unusual for fast food place. The vanilla shake came first. Pricy at four dollars, but very good. I ordered the little burger with fried onions, mushrooms, and bbq sauce. They have a ton of topping options, all free. We also got some fries. The wait was a little long, but the place was kind of busy. The burger was delicious --and for a small it was a good size. I am not a fan of the fries. They then called out the number after me which was odd and a woman grabbed the food. Then they called the same number again. They screwed up and gave my food to the wrong person. Great food as always but super loud employees and the dirtiest lobby I've ever seen (see pics) With no one in line before me and multiple staff standing around talking and doing little else I assume they all have doctors notes excusing them from cleaning anything. Why 5/5? Five Guys Burgers does it right. You have a simple menu with just a few items. Burgers (regular and little), dogs, sandwiches and fries. I usually stick with the little burgers which is a burger with 1 patty and plenty for me. You can customize the burger with 15 different toppings, which are the regular (ketchup/mustard) and up to jalapeno peppers and green peppers. For the fries, I can't get enough of the Cajun fries. For a straight up burger joint, they employ great staff, food is made to order and burgers can be customized to your liking. Oh, did I mention free peanuts while you wait? Always the fresh burger I expect. No complaints there. What I love is the mushroom topping when many other burger joints charge extra. No onion rings, though, like Fatburger. What I've learned now is to avoid cold toppings like lettuce and tomato. It takes away the heat of the burger. I'm not sure, but I don't think they heat up their buns. The peanuts are always a nice touch. We usually finish two trayfuls. One thing, however, seems to have changed. They used to offer extra fries when you need it. $4.59 for a very good, home made two-patty burger. This is the way a burger should be at home. Thin soft bun, two thin patties and anything you want to dress it. The small fries feed the whole family, two adults and two children. And peanuts to throw on the floor. To me this is identical to In-and-Out except, In-and-Out costs even less. read more

First trip to Five Guys, honestly I had never heard of it until they opened here in town. I stopped by on a weekday afternoon for lunch, just me, taking it to go. Interesting first observations, no drive-through (unusual for a burger joint), it's super loud inside, and it all seemed a bit chaotic. The menu is pretty limited (good) but hard to tell at first glance (not good). It took me a few minutes to understand the menu (there are no simple combos to order) and then overcome the din to place my order. There were also a lot of people working there...lots of folks behind the counter. I ordered the single with bacon and cheese with a small fries. Prices are higher than one would expect ($4+ for a burger, $3 for fries). Service was pretty quick (good since there really isn't a place to stand out of the way while you wait). The burger was good, more like a homemade burger. Their patty's are advertised as handmade and you can tell they are not your typical frozen patty. The ingredients appear simple and fresh. The fries are also fresh, but I am not sold on the end product. There are bags of potatoes in the dining room (look how fresh our potatoes are!) that they (apparently) cut up fresh and cook right away. The fries come out "au naturel" with skin and such, but many were overcooked and too brown. Not my favorite. The food is all thrown into a brown bag that soon turns greasy from the fries. I might go back, forgo the fries, and perhaps try a double burger. Otherwise I think I'll pass on Five Guys in the future... read more
