The Thin Mint Latte? Absolutely delicious. I've been wanting to try The Alchemist for awhile now, and it ended up being the perfect spot to enjoy a scrumptious latte while getting some work done. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and relaxing -- easily one of my favorite places I've found to be productive. Service was quick, though the barista definitely seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else. I also loved seeing the community board highlighting local events and small happenings around the area.

Came here on a Friday morning around 10a to find some workspace with a friend. It was spacious, nice and quiet for the morning to get some work done. The space itself has some cozy spots but overall it was spacious enough; the bar area does have limited seating though. The baristas were friendly and helpful! I ordered the blueberry muffin (warmed) and it was moist and flavorful, I also ordered the iced pistachio latte and it was great - but I also wanted the Garfields Local Honey Cortado - that looked really good too. Id definitely like to try this place out in the evening to try out their drink menu too!

The Alchemist does coffee and cocktails right! I've been a few times in the evening and I've always had a good time and the cocktails are always great. I stopped in for a latte during the week and was surprised at how busy it was. There was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't too bad. I decided to go with the Shortbread Belgian latte and it was yummy! The cookie that came with it was a pleasant surprise. The latte was sweet, but not too sweet which is how I like them. I also had my eye on the orange dark chocolate latte, so I can't wait to come back and try it.

We celebrated NYE here and had fun :) the bartenders were awesome and served up the absolute best craft cocktails. They are carefully crafted and I love that they always have something new and funky to try. It was a very swanky lounge and the DJ was playing great beats. I loved that everyone could have their own table. It felt intimate while also being busy. They have my favorite espresso martini in town!

Loved this spot and will be back again! Went during cocktail hours with my girlfriends around 10pm-1am as they were hosting an event with a DJ. -drinks and shots are well priced -there is a small parking lot and street parking all available for free -their bathroom was so nice, I hate to walk into a really nice place and then go to use their restroom and it's disgusting and this place is not that -I didn't try any food this visit, but they did have flatbreads, charcuterie, and dessert options for the cocktail time -the environment was very speakeasy vibes or quiet date nights. You can easily go with a group of friends and have fun or with your partner for some quality time

After a friend of mine and I attended an event at Tinker House Events downtown recently, we wanted to check out some place new nearby to try for a coffee, cocktail and bite to eat. Naturally, I referred to the Yelp app to help guide us to a local spot. We ended up at "The Alchemist" which has only been open for a few months. This place checked all the boxes for what we were seeking. There is some parking behind the building if you prefer not to park on the street. We walked into a dimly lit space with a woman singing so well I had to make sure it wasn't a recording. It's definitely a vibe. There's a bar and restaurant as well. I had my go to espresso martini. I wanted to try the Birria Empanadas but they were out hence the 4 stars. My friend and I shared the Margherita pizza. I'm picky about this particular pizza and this one wasn't my favorite. There was a mesquite BBQ like spice on it that I wasn't expecting and not sure I would order again. Overall the service, drinks and ambiance were excellent. I would probably go back just to see if they have those empanadas in the future so I can compare them to the ones I love at Che Chori.

Super cute spot for coffee. Ordered the pistachio latte and it is not like any other I've tried. I was intrigued by the rose flavor and it was def prominent. Love the latte art. Two punch Tuesdays! Make sure to get your loyalty card. Lots of options on drinks. Donuts for munching.

Gorgeous and straight up insta ready atmosphere pushing the good old school ways, I wanted to buy a top hat and three piece to fit in. There's neat little dining nooks and cozy darkened bar swapping out the espresso and family friendly stuff around six, unfortunately we only wanted that with an hour to spare before our new years eve reservation at Legacy Tokyo. Ordered a carajillo to pass the time and oh boy they nailed it, such a perfectly balanced cocktail that despite basic ingredients, espresso, vanilla, it easily overflows the expectations. My typically sweet toothed friends agreed. Wish we could've stayed for the live music and big bulb vibes!

This heady, upscale coffee and alcohol bar sits in an old building in the trendy Northside neighborhood. We stopped if for pastries on a Saturday morning before going to the museum. Unfortunately, the pastries had not arrived by 9 a.m., which is why we stopped in. The clerk was apologetic. We sat and waited. The dining area has lots of comfy seating with an industrial vibe and heavy jazz plays overhead. The dim lighting is comforting and romantic. The locally made donuts arrived shortly after we sat. I rarely complain about donuts, but the chocolate covered donut was a disappointment. The donut was heavy and not light and fluffy. The Apple Fritter was good, but could have had a bit more fruit. Note, they no longer make/serve breakfast sandwiches that are described in other reviews. Alcohol is served after 5:00 p.m. Street parking is free. A single unisex restroom serves all. Cool coffee shop. Free street parking. Clean restroom. Donuts were meh. Outdoor, pet friendly, patio.

The Alchemist has a cozy, dark, and romantic atmosphere that immediately sets the mood. The artisan cocktails and mocktails were delicious and thoughtfully curated, clearly crafted by a top notch mixologist. The mocktail had quite the presentation which I think is impressive. It's an ideal spot for date night. My husband and I stopped in before a Pacers game, and it was the perfect way to start the evening.

Let me just say that The Alchemist is a total vibe! I stopped by on a Saturday night with some friends. We originally sat at the bar. The bartenders were super cool and helpful when it came to choosing a specialty drink. We then decided to moved to a table on the back side. It was dark, intimate, and relaxing. There was a live dj playing rnb. I will say there is only 1 restroom, but it wasn't too much if a problem and it was very clean. Parking is located on the street and and in the back. I can't wait to return!

What a cute spot! We stopped in for a quick latte & treat on Labor Day. I ordered the Orange Dark Chocolate Latte with the Gluten-Free scone. And my partner ordered a latte with the old fashioned donut. The barista was really kind about my non-dairy needs and let me know about the cold foam in the original drink I wanted (Sage Raspberry Latte). Love the vibes, the seating options and looking forward to trying out the adult beverages soon.

This venue was gorgeous; absolutely one of the cleanest places I've been to. There was a ton of seating indoors that wrapped all around the counter which gave a very private and comforting feel. Lights were somewhat dimmed for a cozy atmosphere but not enough to make working on a laptop or visiting with friends "too dark." I loved the color scheme of this location and they had outdoor seating as well with water dishes and treats for your pups. The staff is incredibly kind and the torched s'mores latte was incredible. The graham cracker with torched marshmallow added the perfect touch. The drink was refreshing but not too overpowering of a taste. I will absolutely be back to this location

It was also a big plus it is located in one of my favorite hotels in the city. My friend and I arrived right when they opened. The bar is beautiful. It is spacious with tons of seating. My friend and I decided to sit at the bar. There were two bartenders working. Both super nice guys. I told them I was wanting a mocktail that actually tasted like a cocktail not just some juice or soda. The one bartender made me a cocktail based on the flavors I liked. It was delicious. Definitely one of the mocktails I have ever had. The service was great. The drink was amazing. This is now one of my favorite bars in Indy!

The menu doesn't feel as "wide" to cater to more tastes. But the prices are still the same as other Mass Ave cocktail bars. BUT what Sundry and Vice has going for it is its locale. It's one of the only cocktail bars on this side of Mass Ave. Not only does this mean that it's easier to get to (depending on where you're at), but it also means that I've never had any issue getting seated here. In fact, even on peak Friday or Saturday nights, I have multiple choices of tables. (The only caveat I've seen to this is the unpredictable schedule of hotel conferences. If Bottleworks is hosting a conference, this place can get busier.) Compared to other cocktail bars down the road where they're on a 1 hour wait (or the "wait and see if a table opens" approach), I know I can always be reliably seated with zero issues at Sundry and Vice. The music exists, but it isn't overwhelming, and the low lighting and softer music makes this place great for actual conversations with people. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a large selection of booths. The cocktail bar is inside of the Bottleworks Hotel; it's effectively a swanky cocktail bar version of a traditional hotel bar. Some of their cocktails are draft/prepped in bulk, so if you're looking for something fast, that can also be a factor. And it's right across the street from Garage Hall if food/snackies sound great afterwards.

I had the mocktail Nohito and it was sooo cute and delicious! The others had cocktails and a bottle of coke (yes glass bottle)- cute right?! Now we had the Karange tofu and I need that recipe! The crispiest most flavorful tofu outside and nice and soft inside. Couldn't tell it wasn't chicken! We also had oysters. For dinner I had the Katsu Curry and it was on point! The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.

Keagan Fife (Manager) - A team player, receptive to feedback and conscientious. We had a issue while there and he was able to step in and problem solve with me and come up with a solution that really won us over. We had a moment where it was feeling a bit "why did we come here" but his customer service exceeded expectation. That's good management. (He's the gentleman in the video below.) Let's get the negative out the way 1st. The first waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink. I told her we hadn't received menus. She came back sat them down and walked away. We never saw her again. A new waitress came and she seemed pleasant enough. Once we were all seated she began to take our orders. She made a point to say she needed to write it all down or she was get it mixed up. She then did not write anything down. Our food came out extremely slow but that wasn't a huge deal because we all were mingling. A lot of her team had to step in and deliver our food, give drinks, check on us etc. She was pretty non existent. Two of the ladies never received food. This was after we had been there for 2 hours and everyone else had received their items. At the end when we asked for our check they were all mixed up and confused. The waitress then blamed us for adding things and moving around. We never moved once and she only came around the one time when she originally took our orders. We never got a chance to add things. (it was quite comical that she tried to say that) I ended up asking for manager because she seemed overwhelmed and a bit bias about our group. Assuming that we wouldn't want one check and splitting them because she figured we would want it that way and then blaming us because she did it when we never asked for split. There rule is parties over 8 have to have 1 bill and we never asked for an exception. There was just her assumption that a group of black women wouldn't want to do that. (I digress) There were a few more things but I will end it there. That was the big negative. Now the positive!!! Ambiance 10/10 - great views, great music, great location, umbrellas on roof were great although a but wobbly and scary. Also, they come around with complimentary sunglasses while dining. I thought this was a nice and luxurious touch! Food 8/10 - most food received was delicious Service 9/10 - everyone except for our server was great! Everyone who pitched in to help was awesome! Ended up tipping a different server who basically helped us the whole time. Bless his heart because I know he was super busy. As stated above management handle the situation well. I would definitely go back! I try to give people a chance. I think our server may have been overwhelmed and had a past experience that left her bias against our group but hopefully she can grow and get better. Her actions don't reflect the restaurant as a whole! Go and enjoy the vibes and views!
