LOVE this place! Been coming here for years and its still as delicious as ever! Monday we skipped work and came for lunch to find out they have happy hour from 11am to 7pm!!! $4 drafts you literally cannot beat that! I always get a flight with a regular meatball with pancetta cream, lamb ball with tzaziki and i tried the chorizo ball with spicy asian it was delicious! We got the tator tots today with horseradish cream and dill amazing! We usually get the mac and cheese and truffle oil fries which just are to die for! We work in melville and we went to the Farmindale location which is just as cool with there upstairs bar and outside patio! Try it your gunna love it, major comfort food! read more

Hands down amazing experience!! The gastro pub concept is different and so fun!! The inside is absolutely gorgeous!! Went to the bar first to wait for some friends and the bartenders were Very attentive and made great suggestions to what I should drink! When my friends and I sat the waitress Lauren was extremely attentive and very pleasant. The food was delicious!! The band they had was entertaining. All around an amazing experience!! That meetball place will definitely be on my list of places to be!! read more

Overall a good spot to eat as it does a wonderful job setting itself apart from the pack of restaurants surrounding it. The ambiance is industrial and lively. The drinks were generously heavy handed pours. And the main attraction (The Meatballs) lived up to my expectations in terms of quality and taste. I also loved the fact they text you when your table is ready so you can "bar hop" or just take in the sights of the town with out being tethered to a 50 foot radius with a buzzer. My ONLY complaint comes from the surprisingly small variety of meatballs they offer. read more

It's a cool atmosphere, as for "grandmas famous meatballs" I would second guess the recipe. The spicy marinara was delicious, so were the chicken meatballs! as for the creamy pancetta, it could use a lot more pancetta and the regular marinara tastes like it's fresh out of a jar. We had a friendly bartender at first, and then a young girl chewing gum asking us "what we wanted" followed. For having 6 bartenders behind the bar we waited quite a while for a drink. Over all great atmosphere but I don't think we'll be back for food. read more

My meatballs where good but my salad was definitely the worst I ever had the place was to loud and I couldn't even think ....

Place is great. Met friends for drinks. Bar atmosphere is energetic and laid back. Friendly. Garage doors open, nice summer evening. Got hungry ordered classic meatballs (4) in a bowl with cream pancetta sauce and split with wife. Then band started which was excellent. Dinner area is pretty big and away from the bar area. On a Monday evening before rush hour, I decided to go to this establishment. Seating and service was fairly quick. Our waitress wasn't that knowledgeable about the menu as, well as the drink list. Our salad and appetizers were served within 10 minutes, and they were quite good. The salad was a Brooklyn salad, fresh mozzarella, artichoke hearts, imported olives in a very light vinaigrette dressing. Very clean and refreshing, fresh and well tended to vegetables. Main course was classic meatballs with marinara and a side of risotto, which had way too much olive oil, the risotto was floating in the oil, Bland taste, not pleasing to the palate. I ordered a strawberry / chocolate dipped martini, which was delicious and so refreshing. Overall, the meal was pleasing. Service was good, the attentiveness of staff was good. Beer , wine, and overall drink menu was better than the food. I would go back for dinner. Nice atmosphere, old fashioned exposed brick and rafters, communal seating. Manhattan style. read more

I was skeptical.....especially since all I have had was bad experience after bad experience lately......thank u meetball place for breaking that streak. Place is very big and nicely decorated......cool vibe inside. Waitress was very pleasant.....on point with everything....excellent service start to finish. Started with the arugula salad.....very good. Loved the crispy onions, dressing was a little on the tart side, but still a great salad. Chicken meatballs with mushroom cream sauce were excellent! Very moist and flavorful. Seasoned just right.....a must order Seafood meatball was a flop. Deep fried for sure, its not that they tasted bad, it just didn't work. Texture was off and lacked any definititive flavor characteristics. Kind of crumbly too. Impossible to top those chicken meatballs so the bar was raised high.... Worth the trip.....great experience read more

Great atmosphere. Perfect for date night or happy hour with friends. I've also gone with my kids and they thoroughly enjoyed it. We've tried everything from the original meatballs to the buffalo chicken ones. Everything is always so flavorful. Also have a great cocktail menu. read more

Wow! Surprisingly delicious. My husband and I started out with the skillet chicken wings with an onion/pepper/chorizo sauce. It reminded me a bit of a chicken cacciatore and we enjoyed it. For dinner, my husband got the classic meatballs which were well seasoned. I had the trio with a classic meatball, chicken meatball and the buffalo chicken. The regular chicken meatball was moist and I could have happily just had that on my plate. The buffalo chicken sad to say was very dry and I wasn't too fond of the sauce provided for that ball. My other sauce choices, spicy tomato and a cream and prosciutto were very good. We shared a generous plate of broccoli rabe as a side dish. I wasn't sure what to expect when we got there, we got a very pleasant surprise and we will definitely be back! read more

Really an excellent experience. Great service, great concept and the meatballs deliver. The lamb one was especially good. I was upset they were out of seafood, but it gives me an excuse to go back. Also - order the hummus platter. Really well presented, and huge! read more

Really good food. I had the classic meatball with regular marinara sauce. Had it with ravioli. It was all delicious and this is coming from a Italian American who grew up on Sunday "gravy meat" . Lots of seating and the service was good too. See you next year! ! read more

What a great place . Our server was delightful , the atmosphere was warm and friendly . We tried the hummus platter for appetizer ( it was the best pita bread and hummus we have ever had -clearly homemade ) and then the meatballs. The chicken one was very tasty , the lamb one: I felt like the spice took lot of its flavor and the shrimp meatball was good too . Had dinner here Saturday night. Arrived around 6 with no reservation, they were busy, but seated us right away at a nice table. The place is huge, the bathroom is nice. Liked the concept of mixing an matching the menu items Started with the tater tots, they were pretty big, and nicely fried crispy, but inside was more like a knish. I'l a consistancy person, so this was a fail for me, although my husband liked them. Then we did the wedding soup. Mine was full of little meatballs, which were very good. Husband got two haha. The spinach was not cooked, which I found weird. Almost like it was just thrown in there.... We mentioned the lack of meatballs to the waitress, and she just aid it was fresh made, whatever the heck that means. Did not offer another, or take it off the bill. Not cool. The entrees were very good. The 4 meatball combo was enough for dinner (since we had the appys) and lunch the next day. I loved the chicken spinach meatball,noce flavor and moist went well with the mushroom sauce and the revs (4 huge ones btw, tasted fresh) My husband had the regular meetballs with ribbon pasta and oriental sauce. He liked them, but he's not picky, so you have to judge yourself. All and all it was a good meal at a fair price. I'd go back if I had a longing for comfort food. read more

Me and my boyfriend discovered this place about a year ago. The salads are amazing. Especially the kale and their house salad. And if you're gonna get a ball get the veggie ball you won't regret it. My and my boyfriend are regulars here. Waiters even know our orders. Also, the veg da ball is an amazing sandwich. The staff is friendly and inviting. Affordable and delicious. read more

Sorry for the so so stars, the food was delish but the service not so much. I asked the server to add mozzarella cheese to my salad, she told me she didn't have any and then proceeded to offer my dining companion melted mozzarella on his meal. We both ordered "Spicy" meals and she never once came back to ask us if we wanted refills on our drinks, which by the way was only seltzer water that we were charged $2.50 for each glass. No water was served or offered as well. read more

They make the best veggie dishes especially the zucchini spaghetti. Add a scoop of ricotta and a delicious meal! Kids meals are only $10 for choice of meatball, style and sauce and gelato. And kids eat free all day Sunday. They have gray bands and music. Loud and the seats are very close together so you feel like you are eating with strangers. read more

Generous even giving it 1 star. There was a bug in my pasta and they spilt a tray of meetballs on my girlfriends dress during live at 5. They suck and also didn't even offer to take anything off the check or replace the pasta. Will never go back. read more

So, I don't love it and I don't hate it. One thing I can say is it's too loud. I hate when I'm trying to eat and there is soooo much noise. Nothing special. Another place that really isn't consistent. There really aren't fabulous restaurants in this area but it's really not that great. I only went twice because a few of my friends wanted to try it. Interesting about the 2/17/19 review posted here. We had a 180-degree different experience this afternoon and will be back as many times as we find ourselves in Patchogue (I hope many times in the future). Fantastic food, reliable service and atmosphere was fun and lively...even found parking relatively quick!! Did not have beer as my spouse and I are wine drinkers; Malbec was good and complemented food well. Our 7 year-old loved the big pretzel with dipping sauces (BBQ, spicy mustard and cheddar cheese) and also the kid's spaghetti with classic meatballs...a majority of which was eaten. The adults had the Three Cheese Ravioli with classic meatballs and the Chicken Parm Subwiche...both fantastic with some to take home. Staff was friendly, helpful and attentive to our child while managing several tables, and a lively group at the bar put laughter in the atmosphere...Don't listen to the haters. We are seasoned cooks and mostly cook at home. When we do not, we eat out at nice places and plan to come back here again. Bouncers tell me that they cannot let anyone in wearing any type of camouflage garment. My girlfriend follows up the next day and the girl answering the phone informs her that no camouflage is allowed in any place in Patchogue that has bouncers. She then asks "Are soldiers wearing camouflage allowed in?"...the girl gets real confused and then says "no i think they're allowed in". You can't make this stuff up. The real problem is that the owners of these places are trusting meathead steroid using bouncers to make decisions that in turn affect business. We will never be back and neither will our friends. Where does a finicky vegetarian go to get some grub in Patchogue? Certainly not a meatball joint, right? WRONG!! After years of suffering & casting my plate aside at restaurants that insist on cooking their vegetables in chicken stock or settling for pasta because it's all they offered, I recently checked out That Meetball Place in Patchogue. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I have been there twice and still have not exhausted the vegetarian selections. Here's what I had the first time: the Veg Da Ball sandwich which featured COMPLETELY vegetarian lentil balls, broccoli rabe, a portabella mushroom (which I opted to omit) with a roasted pepper spread on baguette. It was served alongside a traditional Italian salad with chick peas. Are you kidding?? So delicious and flavorful! I also ordered the macaroni & cheese which, hand over heart, was the best I've had to date. I washed it down with two Stoli screwdrivers that were served in fun, blue mason jars. The second time I went there I had a broccoli rabe risotto ball slider w/marinara sauce and a scoop of fresh ricotta. FRESH RICOTTA! I had the mac & cheese again because I couldn't resist and a side of broccoli rabe. Unbelievable (for real!). That night we split a bottle of Malbec and ended the night with a coffee drink (maybe two.) The place looks and feels like it's right out of Brooklyn, my favorite suburb to hang. It just has a good vibe, comfortable yet hip. I was there on a night when Acoustic Matinee was playing & I happened to run into old friends, I mean everything was awesome. But here's the real hook for me: I CAN EAT THERE. For thirty years I have been unimpressed with what Long Island restaurants have to offer the ever growing vegetarian population and have reluctantly looked more forward to the dessert menu while watching my carnivorous friends chow down. The only option to get an interesting meal, something to get excited about , was to travel city bound. Thank goodness for this place and for a chef that knows that if something is cooked in a beef or chicken or seafood broth that it is no longer vegetarian. I have yet to taste the kale and/or other salads, the daily polenta, the risotto of the day, or any of the fresh pastas with various homemade sauces but I know that in my many returns I will. For now, speaking as a very hungry girl from the vegetarian community: That Meetball Place is doing it right. read more

This place is 100% rip-off of the Meatball Shop in the city. That being said the food is good. My only real complaint (an the reason for only 3 stars) is that you can't make reservations for parties less then 4. Patchogue is a busy eat-out t0wn. It makes me not want to go here for a date with my fiance if we can't make a reservation. read more

Their wings are awesome, so good that we ended up ordering them for Super Bowl Sunday. Also, I've never had a better blue cheese dressing in my life, which prompted me to try the wedge which was super yummy. My daughter likes the classic meatball and Mac and cheese. Went for Happy Hour and dinner with some coworkers on a Thursday night. We had a blast!! The place is huge..I wasn't expecting it to be so big. The atmosphere was fun and the live music was great. We started with the Bavarian Pretzel, which is a gigantic pretzel served with three dipping sauces. 8 of us enjoyed two of these monsters and we were satisfied. I had a sampler which included a classic meatball with a spicy marinara sauce, a lobster meatball with a pancetta cream sauce, and a lamb meatball with tzatziki sauce. Classic was ok but the lamb and lobster were outstanding! My boyfriend got the risotto of the day but found it dry and bland. Id definitely go back and highly recommend for happy hour or dinner. read more

Read about this place when it opened and it sounded interesting. The atmosphere is nice, a fairly comfortable place to eat. The food is decent and the wait staff seemed competent. We were there at a quiet time so the service was good. I ordered the Moroccan meatball with tzatziki sauce it basically was a gyro in the form of a meatball. My kid had the classic meatball, which was ok. I might be a little more critical of the classic, since my ancestry is Italian. The Mrs. had the vegetarian meatball, which was a kale and rice risotto ball with the pancetta cream sauce, this was actually my favorite, it was a tasty sauce and delicious rice ball. In my opinion the meat for the meatballs was overworked and too dense, I have spent many years cooking and trying to learn from others, and one thing I picked up is not to over mix the meat. If you want that nice texture too the ball, you have to gently work the seasoning in and try to leave it loose or run it through a grinder again before shaping and cooking. If I find myself wandering in Patchogue again I would probably go to a different restaurant, there looked to plenty to choose from. read more

What a fantastic restaurant! As we walked in, we heard a live singer who wasn't too loud but added to the up beat vibe of the place. Even though is was busy, the hostess sat us right down and a waitress asked for our drink order immediately. The menu takes a minute to adjust to since this is such a unique concept style restaurant. There is something for everyone on it. I ordered the vegetarian risotto meatballs with pesto sauce and a side of ricotta cheese. This was amazing! the meatballs were crisp on the outside but gooey with mozzarella cheese and risotto on the inside, yum! My children each ordered a regular meatball hero which came with a side salad and they ordered the cheese fries...Delicious! My husband ordered the chicken meatball parmesan meal with rigatoni and was thrilled! Lots of food (took some of mine home), good entertainment, good service and a great up beat atmosphere! read more

My husband and I go to TMP several times a month and can't get enough. The buffalo meatball slider is amazing, and their tzatziki sauce is really great too. Prices are super reasonable also. No matter what you choose, you can't go wrong! read more

The atmosphere can be loud, but it's a fun setting that's very friendly. The service is kind. The food is very unique, which is most likely why it's so heavily appreciated. You won't find a place that does what they do nearly as well. You'll love the food and want to come back for more. read more
