GGS Pork
Meri L.

Came here with a dear friend to catch up and have a bite to eat. Service was atrocious. It took a very long time for someone to come over to us to take our order after we sat down. We started with some apps. Wednesday is bogo on apps. When we went to order drinks our waiter told us they were out of Pinot Grigio. We ordered our apps; spinach dip and everything pretzel. While we were in the middle of eating, our waiter said he was leaving and someone else would be taking care of us. Okay, no big deal..we came in the middle of the lunch/dinner turnover. Well...nobody ever came and we wanted to order meatballs after we finished our apps. I saw a server at another table and called him over. We told him we wanted to order some more food. He asked if we closed out our check. We told him no and explained that our waiter had left for the day. He told us there was miscommunication. What?! Anyway, we ordered our meatballs and they came out within 5 minutes. On to the food... The spinach dip was good. It came with crisp bread. Flavors were on point. Giant pretzel was good too. It came with 3 different dips...queso, mustard and scallion cream cheese. I ordered GGS pork meat balls and my friend ordered the classic meatballs. The pork meatballs had great flavor...there was a slight kick but not overwhelming. My friend enjoyed the classic meatballs. Food was tasty, but service was terrible.

Lobster sliders (minus one cause I ate it)

Walked around Patchogue and ended up here as we knew the place and was a long time since we last were here. My husband and I made the perfect choice! We shared the Lobby Pot Skins which looked different, he had the Classic and I had the Lobster Sliders. It was all delicious. It also wasn't too crowded as we got there at a decent hour, which was nice. Our waitress was excellent, very attentive and checked on us to make sure if we wanted anything or not. The ambiance was perfect not too bright or too dark. I would definitely come back again.

Food is pricy and just Meh. Nice looking place and got seated immediately on a Saturday night, it wasn't really busy in there but we were disappointed in the food.

Crispy Burrata

We went on a Saturday around 5pm, no wait and we were seated immediately. They sat us in the back room which was nicely decorated and tables spaced well. We ordered the Crispy Burrata which was absolutely delicious, fried perfectly and the pesto underneath takes it over the top. We also ordered the chopped cheese, lobster roll sliders, and the sampler of the day. For dessert we had the peanut butter cup explosion thingy. Everything was exceptional. Will definitely return to try everything else.

Good vibe, good drinks, good for. Coming for year. Try the weekend brunch. And bottomless drink.

There's TOM in the background - he's so awesome!

So we found ourselves in Patchogue on a Sunday afternoon in early spring ... we walked a bit on the main street area looking for a spot to hang out, have a beer or two and maybe grab a bite. That Meetball Place caught our eye -- and who doesn't love a MEATBALL, right?! Well we had such a great time and made the right pick - highly recommend to others. Thanks to our great bartender - funny, personable, attentive & great.... and SHOUT OUT to Chef TOM FAZIO - you're the best. We couldn't figure out what to order - Tom says, "I got this" - and it did not disappoint. Awesome selections and we all enjoyed. We will be back - thanks again.

Scampi Wings

Food is very good, some hidden gems like the scampi wings people seem to miss. Reasonable prices. Employees are nice, engaging, definitely a place to be a regular at. Friday and Saturday night, it's the place to be for socializing.

Place was a nice atmosphere. Went on Sunday and was the only place on the strip open before 1130 with no wait so we just happened to check it out. Food was pretty good. Service was great. They played the football game. Didn't try the drinks unfortunately but the entire vibe was nice.

Black Dahlia

Went last night for drinks. I ordered the Black Dahlia which was delicious. It was a black berry margarita. I would rate the drink 5 stars. As far as the menu goes there isn't much for someone who is celiac. Last time I tried to order the chef came out to speak me. I truly appreciated this. He said that the gluten free meatballs had oats in them that weren't certified gluten free. For someone that has a true gluten allergy you know that you want to avoid this then. My friends enjoyed the large soft pretzel with dipping sauce. It's a good place for a group because the bar is large. It does get very crowded and loud on the weekends in the evening.

Bottomless mimosas that were truly bottomless.
Joseph C.

My wife and I stopped in here for Sunday brunch, not knowing what to expect. It wasn't packed when we got there, but we took our time and enjoyed the bottomless mimosas, so by the time we left it got pretty packed out. Good ambience, extremely attentive staff. Our server, Kayla was great. She made sure our mimosas were topped off and was attentive the whole time despite the influx of diners. The executive chef, Tom, also stopped by our table to see how everything was, and offered us a shot after we complemented the service. It's the little gestures that go a long way. The food was very good. I had the Hangover Potatoes and my wife had the Frittata. My only critique is the poached eggs that came with my potatoes were slightly overcooked, but it was good nonetheless. I'd recommend this spot for brunch that's easy on the wallet.

Food is okay but the bouncers at night are not helpful when I comes to men harassing. Got kicked out for hitting a guy who tried to hump me.

Ironically I dislike meatballs in general so I've never had them here. However, their Mac n cheese is THE BEST in town!

When in search of a place that would make my family of picky eaters happy (ie: a vegan, a…read morevegetarian, a traditionalist, and two that try to make the other three happy but like good food), WhiskeyNeat appeared like a gods-send on Yelp. I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

Gift cards are great. The problem is sometimes you forgot you have them or just never carve out the…read moretime to use them, and honestly that might stop you from trying new spots like when my wife and I recently visited WhiskeyNeat after having received a gift card to this place...two years prior. Better late than never on using it to get this five star review written up! But seriously, I thought I knew downtown Patchogue pretty well, and yet I never noticed or heard anyone really going to WhiskeyNeat until that gift card was in her possession. When we went for dinner, it was a Wednesday night on the earlier side and at the time, no one was inside this relatively small yet cozy-ish bar/pub place. I thought perhaps things here aren't that great, but by the time we left, the inside was almost full, and my feelings were definitely wrong. This place is great! Now these Wednesday crowds could be due to the half price options they throw out there all day long. ANY drink at WhiskeyNeat is half off on hump day plus there are a handful of small plates that also follow this discounted direction. I'll say things might be a little pricier if you're not coming here in the middle of the week, but it's well worth making the trip to slash at least your drinks (and maybe some grub) in two. Enough about all that because the food, drinks, and service is where this place really shines. I downed two of their bourbon cocktails (Goldrush and Billionaire) both being outstanding in taste and quality (my wife enjoyed a well-made margarita). Food-wise, we sampled some hand cut fries (delicious), short rib croquettes (delectable), a mahi taco (fresh), pulled pork slider (tender), gochujang wings (zingy), and a twice baked potato (creamy). All these items were half price (reminder, they were small plates of grub so don't freak for how much we ate). We also paid full menu price to try a side of hot honey cauliflower which was fantastic as well. Before wrapping up, I do want to give a shout out to the staff or at least our waitress who was friendly, helpful in giving us drink options, and chatted with us a bit about WhiskeyNeat and other good nearby food spots. She guided us through the menu on what to order and even realized she had forgotten to put in one of our small plate orders without us asking. Good service always helps in reaching a full slew of Yelp stars. Overall, it may have taken almost two years to use the gift card to WhiskeyNeat, but I'm glad we finally did because dang was it a superb meal. Our waitress said "You'll be back" once we told her it was our first time and even before we had finished eating everything. I mean hard to disagree with that statement. Perhaps I'd aim to save some mulah and only come on a Wednesday, but with great drinks and grub to be had, it might just be worth coming any time, gift card or not!
