I live in an apartment complex where that guy is the Exterminator so I had to pay $95 to have them come out and put gel in the apartment but yet they didn't get all the cabinets nor did they get by the walls they did the kitchen and two bathrooms only and as I said missed some cabinets they didn't touch the living room or the bedrooms so I complained about roaches again and they want another $95 and it hadn't even been a month since they got the first $95 all they are interested in is the money and did a half ass job and won't come back and do it for free since it wasn't done thoroughly the first time. I definitely would not recommend these people they're all about the money and doing as little work as possible. They responded to my review saying the apt. complex charges not them which is a lie they charge the complex $95. extra so then the resident has to pay them because they are being charged extra I tried to respond to their reply but no way to do it. I tried calling but they just kept hanging up after saying how can we correct the review I can't put the invoice on here because it shows my address Horrible customer service and they only care about the $$$ as I said above they don't care about the customer that hadn't even been a month and they didn't do the job correctly I'd pay somebody else out of my own pocket to come do it before I would give them one thin penny. A complete flea infestation and they have the audacity to look around for 5 minutes with a flashlight?!? What? I've never lived anywhere that used That guy...now I know why. There are ants entering a window in my kitchen but the company requires you empty the entire kitchen and all closets. I had working in the past and they would always treat the perimeter and in 15 years never had ants. My guess is that this step eliminates most work for them and the apartment complex must be getting a kick back. A reputable company would allow you to see what they are treating but based on other reviews they'll just come spray the crap out of everything you own. read more

0 stars is more fitting. My sister and I are roommates in a large complex. She started to get ants coming in through a hole in the top of her closet. She let the office know, they came & looked & let pest control know. They told us the date & time they would be there. We were going to be sure one of us was there when they came. They told her the guy would be there at 2:30. I left at 12:15, she got home at 1:30, he had already been there & gone. Not only did he NOT spray her closet like he was SUPPOSED to, he sprayed all my stuff in the LIVINGROOM(see pics). Why?? He sprayed all over my thing I sell in my business, my laptop which is also for my business, my daughter's skates and both sides of the tv stand. He also left a bunch of the spray on my dining room floor. Again, WHY?? He wasn't supposed to spray anything but the closet. I'm getting pissed off again so I'm going to end this review. Edited to add: I just pulled my couch out to see why my internet stopped working and I see that he has sprayed that also!!!! read more

I had termites swarming in my apartment, and after Orkin came to do an inspection and never returned for treatment, the management called That Guy. They did an inspection and then returned the next day to do the treatment. The morning of the technician's arrival, I called the offiice to get an arrival time, and the young lady called back twice to update me on his specific arrival time. The technician was polite and professional and, noticing the sign on my door asking people to remove shoes, did so, which not all maintenance workers do. 5 STARS TO THE MAX!! I WANT TO GIVE 10!! We had a terrible carpet/drugstore beetle infestation in our master bedroom of our townhome. First we had Orkin come but the pests just came in waves for months. Our manager called these guys and we saw immediate improvements after 2 treatments, we are on our 3rd and hopefully final since it was a HUGE infestation. Anthony and Jose are awesome!! I have literally never written a bad review EVER but i swear to god I have never been more infuriated. I live in an apartment complex in mission Viejo, and we've been trying to get a swarm of termites out of my apartment for the past week. First they say, they'll try to treat last Thursday, then it became last Friday, then someone comes and looks at it and leaves and says they'll come back on Tuesday. Then, today we get a call from the exterminator that they'll be arriving in 30 minutes. Fast forward 2 hours later, NO ONE ARRIVES because apparently the guy showed up WITHOUT CHEMICALS TO TREAT TERMITES and won't be arriving until tomorrow!!!! I literally have never had such incompetent service from a company before. For the love of god, I just want to be able to sleep in my bed. read more

My husband and I have been battling a horrible infestation of ants for over a year now in Southern Orange County. After carefully doing some research, I was recommended to use That Guy Pest Services. Highly professional company, the front office staff that I spoke with over the phone answered all of our questions and addressed our concerns-- especially regarding pets in our home. We were told that their treatments are pet safe and are used in the same facilities as hospitals and schools. It was simple and easy to book an appointment. They give you a 4 hour window but arrived immediately and we didn't have to wait long. For prep work, we did have to clean out everything in our cabinets and on our countertops. We also covered our furniture in tarps. Sherlyn, the technician was extremely helpful and thorough for the whole process. We showed her where our problem areas were and she made sure to target specifically the source of where they were coming from. It took her only 10 minutes to complete the treatment ! Although they recommended airing out the house for 2 hrs, we did not return with our pets for at least 4 hrs just to be safe. There was no residue that we could see and no bad smell at all ! The ant population immediately diminished, although there were a few stragglers. The next day, we did not see any other ants. After over a week, I'm happy to report that we are completely ant free ! We're so happy not having to live with ants anymore and wished we did it sooner. I would highly recommend reaching out to That Guy Pest control services if you are having any pest issues. My fiance and I live in an apartment Complex in Murrieta CA and a couple of months ago I noticed in our bathroom ants were around the bathroom tub. Like anyone would do that doesn't like ants or any other kind of insects in their home I would kill them. It got to the point that every time I would go into the bathroom I would kill at least 10 ants at a time. Last Sunday March 25, 2023 I had my fiance let our leasing office know about the issue. The lady in our leasing office says that Tuesdays are pest control days and to follow the prep instructions that is from this company. So on Monday I get the prep work done for the guy to spray for Tuesdays between 8am-noon. Noon came and went no pest control guy. We did inform the office that the guy never came and the ladies in our leasing office were shocked and said that the appointment was still scheduled so I just left the bathroom the way that it was. Wednesday morning since the guy didnt show the day before I went ahead and put everything back. About an hour and a half after I put everything back to the way the bathroom was the pest control guy shows up and asked " so what are we doing for you today" like he didnt know what he was spraying for ( even though the order said what he was spraying for and where he was supposed to spray). Since I moved every back in the bathroom and the guy was there ready to spray I asked him " Do you need me to move everything away from the walls so you can spray the full perimeter of the bathroom" because I felt bad. He then proceeds to say " No that wont be need". Then since I had to leave for 2 hours I had to get ready to leave ( I just had to throw on different clothes. It didn't take that long to get dressed: maybe 2 minutes at the longest before I heard the guy say " Your all set") I did go and look in the bathroom to see what was sprayed before I left and the door to the entrance of the bathroom was sprayed. So I left for 2 hours. I noticed on the sheet of instructions given by us from our leasing office that we would see results of ants or any other pests would be gone between 7-10 days of spraying. Today is the 9th day since the spray and we still have ants. I have had experience with other pest control companies with ants and other pest extermination and I saw results immediately after spraying. Also I didnt have to leave for 2 hours after spraying either. I will be notifying my leasing office after tomorrow if I am still seeing ants in my unit. read more

I scheduled the initial visit by email because I hate using the phone (truth). I received a response in only 30 minutes. Set up an appt for a week later at my convenience. Easy peasy. Day of the appt it was raining. Got a call to reschedule to the next day with the same time frame. New appt day, I had forgotten to give them my gate code and was unable to pick up their call when they couldn't get into my community. I was very pleased that they persevered and made it in regardless of my mistake. When they arrived they spoke with my adult daughter and explained what they would be doing. At the end of the visit, they checked out with her and advised her that if we continue to see any ants in the next 30 days to give them a call and they would come back. This has got to be the worst service I have ever had to deal with. They are hired through the Irvine company which I am not sure why Irvine company would even hold them up to their standard. The first time they came out they were three hours late. They didn't even spray for fleas because the 'place wasn't prepared.' I literally had one pair of shoes on the floor everything else was put away. They didn't even notify me they could not do the service. So after coming home later in the day where I had made sure I wasn't home the two and a half hours you are supposed to wait after they spray.. No one told me so I was away from home for no reason. I get home to a note on the door. I then reschedule for a few days later at 1pm. The day came they were supposed to be there at 1pm. They showed up at 5.30pm!!!!!!!! This means I couldn't go home until after 7.30 pm on a Monday night. The Irvine company had been calling them the entire day and no one answered. These guys suck, they don't care. Find someone else Note I had to board my dogs every time this happened at a cost of 150 dollars read more

I came here to post a review in regards to the overwhelming generosity of the owner of this establishment. My son and many other kids in this community are able to sit down and do their schoolwork on brand new laptops because of this man, I will be forever grateful. I saw a few bad reviews that appear to be the same incident and it seems that individual is trying to flood. It is difficult for me to believe that a man this embedded in the community and its growth would act in such a manner. Perception is everything...
