Won't give you the time of day unless you sign up for their useless monthly subscription…read more I hired Go-pher the Kill to take care of a massive gopher problem in my front and back yard. We had them out, they told me a price, and explained that I would be shown the dead animals before being charged and then we scheduled service. They charge a service fee per visit and then a fee per animal killed on top of that. I thought that was a little bit of an odd model, but I didn't think it was bad, so I agreed. They came, buried the traps, and then returned in a week. I got an email invoice showing a charge. Nobody showed me any gophers or anything. I politely mentioned this when the boss came back and he apologized, reset the traps and said he'd see me the next week. They came back and said they caught more and showed me a little grainy photo of a dead animal that could have been taken anywhere at any time. Every time they visited, they tried to get me to sign up for a monthly fee that makes no sense. It gives an insignificant discount on the catch fee. Overall the subscription fee would add up to much more than the discount. It makes no sense. After the 3rd time I declined, they ghosted me completely. There was no conflict, there was no complaint from me (other than the polite mention that I didn't know they caught anything the first time.) They just reset their traps and never returned. I've emailed, and called and nobody has replied. Their traps are still buried in my backyard. It's been about 6 months. And before you reply, business owner: It's too late. Don't bother. I'm not going to change this review and you've had multiple chances to do the right thing. Nothing you can do now will improve the situation.

Duane Bushner was actually our original contractor when this entire process started, and having him back out today for our recent inspection was great. As always, he did an incredibly thorough walkthrough and took the time to share knowledgeable insights on termites (and roaches) and exactly what to keep an eye out for. What really sets Gallant apart is their 4-year warranty. Knowing they actually stand behind their work for the long haul gives us total peace of mind--it proves their work is truly bug-proof. Despite repeated treatments, I am still finding roaches in different areas of the house. The number may be lower, but the issue is not resolved, which is disappointing. I was explicitly told that the $150 dispatch/estimate fee would be applied toward the balance of the work that needed to be done. However, when the technician arrived, they quoted me $715 and didn't honor that agreement--so I essentially ended up paying $150 just for someone to stand in my home for 5 minutes. Because I had already sunk the $150 into the visit, I felt stuck and felt like I had no choice but to just pay the higher amount to get the job done. While the service itself was fine, the communication felt misleading. Just a heads-up to future customers: make sure to get your initial quote details and promotional offers in writing before they show up.
