Although it appeared to be an outdoor roach, I specifically requested that they treat the situation as if it were German roaches out of caution. This required a deep treatment, which meant completely emptying cabinets, drawers, closets, and moving appliances throughout the entire house. It was a huge amount of work, but we did everything required to prepare. When the technician came, the service felt rushed and incomplete, as if not all areas were properly treated. Still, we trusted they did their job. We were told a second treatment was required two weeks later, and that's where everything went downhill. April 10: I waited all day, received no call, and no one showed up. I contacted the company, and they couldn't reach the technician. Rescheduled to April 13 (3-5 PM): I rearranged my schedule again and even missed work (losing income) to be home. Once again, no call and no show. I left my house at 5:00 PM after my appointment window ended. The technician showed up at 5:05 PM, outside of the scheduled time, expecting me to be there. After this, I spoke with a manager named Louis. Due to the poor experience, I told him the only way I would continue service is if I was taken off the year contract and switched to month-to-month. He agreed and said he would send written confirmation. I never received that email. It has now been days, and despite texting him (as he suggested for communication), I have received no response. On top of everything, since the treatment, we are actually seeing more bug activity than ever before--worse than before we even started service. We are seeing more bugs than we ever have, including ants and spiders throughout the house. When I called about it, I was told to "wait for the treatment to settle," which is frustrating given everything we've already gone through. After preparing my home three separate times, missing work, and dealing with repeated no-shows and lack of communication, I can confidently say: This company is unreliable and unprofessional. My home was scheduled for service during a heavy storm, and the technician confirmed he could not spray due to the rain. He only de-webbed the exterior before leaving. Shortly after, I received a notice stating the full service was completed. I immediately checked my cameras and contacted customer service, explaining that the service was not performed and requesting a refund. I was told a refund was not possible because the job was "completed," despite my evidence. I was then told I could only receive a refund if I re-enrolled in services or accepted a discount. Both were unacceptable. When I asked for a supervisor or owner contact, I was repeatedly denied. After going in circles, I finally agreed to send someone out to finish the job--but calling it "free" when I had already been charged is a lie. Brooks Pest control will keep your money--rain or shine.
