When we bought our house we randomly chose a pest control company who we used up until Covid when they stopped servicing our area. So we researched on Yelp and decided to try Pest Rx. Tim came for an inspection where he walked around to assess outside and took photos to reference while he went over his concerns. He spent a good 20 minutes explaining to me how the process of spraying works, why the products he uses are better than others, why he does things differently, his background, and answered any questions I had. I had no reason not to sign on for service after that. Since then, we have been really happy with the service. Tim is very friendly, totally professional, and extremely reliable. He sends a reminder text when our appointment is here with notes for prepping the outside for him (unlock gates, turn off sprinklers, pets inside, etc.) Because of his process of only spraying outside (which seemed odd at first but TOTALLY made sense after he explained to me why) you don't even need to be home for your service appointment. He sends a text when he's done and occasionally some "homework" reminders for example, if he sees an overgrown tree that could be creating direct access for bugs to get in the house. Then an invoice via text with links to his PayPal and Zelle which really couldn't be made any easier. While there's no guarantee of 100% bug protection inside your home, this is as close as we've been able to get and have had no issues with the actual control service. I called Pest Rx because of the positive reviews here on Yelp but when the OWNER Tim called me back I was incredibly disappointed with his attitude. He said Riverside to Fontana was too far for him to go (11.6 miles, per Yelp) he told me if I insisted he would charge me $35 to come ALL this way for an estimate, he reluctantly gave me an "inflated" over the phone quote of $300 to spray a small section of my back yard but continued to recommend I Google or read on his website how I could take care of my pest problem myself or call a pest company closer to Fontana. My wife and I have gone with Pest Rx's quarterly service the last couple of years, and we have been essentially pest free that whole time. If you are around when he is spraying, Tim will always give you a through explanation of what chemical he used and why. He always gives ample heads up to when he will be spraying at our property as well. I called Tim at Pest Rx about 2 years ago for help with ants. I told him about my concerns about toxicity for my pets and children. Tim explained in great detail how he would go about getting rid of my ants and that he would only treat the outside area so that it wouldn't create any toxicity in my house. This impressed me because it showed that he values developing good relationships over just making money. I tried his suggestions, but still had a massive ant invasion, so I called him again. Happy, Happy, Happy! My poor dog was covered in fleas every time he went into our backyard. Nothing we did worked. Not even the Frontline Plus, Flea Shampoos.
