Stay away.....unless you dont have your ocmputer repair. My lap was broken and it has Chinese window and keybgoard. They told me "NO PROBLEM". We can a same style laptop and trasfer the hard drive. And re-install the Chinese window. It WILL COSTS $400 for the use laptop. Instead of going alone with their. I got a same style laptop from San Antonio for $150. Bring the broken computer, my $150 laptop and MY Chinese Window disk. A week later, they not only not fixing my laptop, want to charge me for $150 to "re-build" my computer and lost power cord for the laptop. Tell me that There's chance this power cord can get on fire. I was trying to "support local businss"....So much for that !!! read more

Purchased a laptop refurbished for $500 (first time for everything) and owner insisted it was good as new. Purchased in summer of 2009 and only 5 months later the laptop was diagnosed as being obsolete. It was impossible to run anything on the Internet with a turbo dsl connection and it crawled at slower than a dialup pace. I put the laptop on the shelf for a year because it was just a hassle running anything and just recently went back to the store to see if there would be any way to get the laptop working even in a functional manner. They indicated it needed much more memory (and $$$) and I already invested $500 with less than 20 hours clocked on the laptop. Nothing they could do for me unless I wanted to spend more money. I was looking for and expected them to make a small investment to at least get the laptop functional since they profitted $500 on the sale, but they were not willing to do that. My husband who knows NOTHING about computers bought me a laptop for Christmas here (2012). 350 bucks for an upgraded Dell that is 7 years old. 2 1/2 gigs of ram, crappy processor, 30 day warranty no returns. He actually paid extra to get it to 2 1/2 G's, it actually only came with 1. The same computer anywhere online or any place else sells for under $150 bucks MAX, WITH 3 G's of ram. The laptop is slow, isn't up to date on many of the other programs including Windows. Basically they put it to him good. I could have easily bought a brand new laptop for LESS at a chain retailer. My husband just thought he could get me something better here. Boy was he wrong! Stay clear of this place, they advertise cheap buys on their sign but you will get a crap system and a crap warranty to boot. read more

Not happy at all with their service!! I brought my laptop in on a Thursday and got it back the following Monday without them being able to fix it, even though they assured me that they would be able to fix it and it would cost $149+tax (Got my hopes up!). On top of that, after getting my laptop back and turning it on, they still had random windows opened up like they were still working on it, and the resolution was all jacked up. I couldn't figure out my resolution problem so I called the store to ask a few questions and they were real jerks about it all. "Ughhh you just go to the home screen and right click." I felt like they were talking to me like I was an idiot and should know everything that they did! Never going back!!! read more

I was looking for a place to fix my slow computer and wanted to avoid Geek Squad which is a nightmare in it's own right. They have a big sign that says...we fix computers...perfect...fix mine. i thought I had it backed up with an external hard drive but evidently that was not the case. They had to start everything over in my computer only to find that some of the info was lost for good and the external hard drive was shot. I asked then to just reload all the old info....well that was going to be an additional service fee. So I had to pay an additional service fee for trying to retrieve the info and they had my computer for about two weeks. Over $300 later my computer still runs slow and I lost any saved data for the past 18 months. While they are all very nice, I would have been better off to make sure all my info was backed up elsewhere and bought a new computer. I'm back to where I started....frustrated with a slow computer that is always doing some mystery task, super slow only now minus the data I started out with bringing it in. I would have brought it back in again to find out why I was still at square one, slow computer but I didn't want to pay any more than what I'd already shelled out. read more

Beware when dealing with this clown. The owner is a shyster if ever there was one. His deal is cheap, "reconditioned" equipment at a cheap price that's "good as new". Little did I know that his concept of "good as new" and a reasonable person's concept of "good as new" are too VERY different things. Long story short, what I received from this guy was C-R-A-P, and when given the opportunity to make the sale right, the owner balked. Be smart, and stay away. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! They are that good. This is not my first time brining in one of our computers. The first time was an awesome experience. They went out of thier way to make all the things wrong with my computer it right. Now is running faster smoother and they removed a virus and all sorts of work that was slowing it down. Runs like new! THEN when we took my Husbands computer in this week,what they did above and beyond was simply amazing.Heres what happend: I had done a System recovery instead of a System restore. LOST ALL my husbands information that contained over 21 years of information for his business. (He was pretty mad at me) Matt and Brandon sent us to a Data recovery place, (Flashbackdata-Austin)when they finished recovering the data, we brought it back to That Computer Store and Brandon and Matt put everything back to where it was suppose to be. They did it all within a few hours. The Guys ARE the best! They knew exactly what to do. Explained everything and did it all in just a few hours like I mentioned so we were not out of business any longer than we had already were. . These Guys are EXCELLENT. If I could give these guys more than five stars, I would! My MacBook Pro got knocked off a table and the screen went all wonky. I called around, and these guys gave me the lowest estimate....plus, they're right around the corner from my house. He told me it would take about a week to get the part in and get it fixed. That's not ideal for me, because I use my laptop for work every day - but, I decided to go ahead and go with these guys. When the part came in, they put the new screen in and it didn't work....they had been shipped a bad screen. The guy called me and told me what had happened, and I went in to talk to him about my options. First, he spent more than 15 minutes calling around to Mac places to see if anybody had the part in stock and could fix it for me fast. He found somebody who promised to have it fixed within 48 hours. And, on top of that, That Computer Store didn't charge me anything --- even though their tech spent several hours working on my computer. These guys will do you right, guaranteed!!! read more

Our computer started getting the dreaded blue screen and my husband and I thought we would need to buy a new one but we really didn't want to spend that kind of money. So I took it to That Computer Store. They were very nice and friendly. They called me the next day with the diagnosis and the cost to fix. So reasonable and so worth the $100 I paid! Had our computer back and working in a day and a half! I would recommend them to anyone needing repair! read more

I have dealt with them previously and was pleased but will never use them again. I paid them $99 to clean a virus from my computer, which seemed a reasonable price. The person who was there when I took it in was very nice and helpful. When I picked it up, the young man there was not at all friendly or helpful. I later discovered that the Microsoft games file was missing from my directory and called them. The guy who answered the phone was not at all helpful. He clearly did not want to be bothered. He could not even bother to speak clearly. He was completely clueless and did not offer to try to help me in any way. He did not sound very bright. He suggested I just go online and get new games! I told him I was not going to go download from unknown web sites!! (that seems to be inviting a virus - guess they could make another $99 from me) I want my original MS games files back. I finally told him I would take my computer to Best Buy and pay them to fix it back like it was before I took it to his shop.
