Great brunch spot! They have so many options on the menu and a special brunch menu (bottomless mimosas!). Their food is fresh and good portions. We had a large party and the service was great!

I really liked this place. It is super cute and nice inside. They have a large menu selection. I ordered the Buffalo Mac and cheese, my boyfriend got the salmon. We both really enjoyed our meals and it was a good portion size. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. Overall this is a nice experience for a nice night out for dinner. The atmosphere is great as is the service and food. Update: have went again now twice for brunch and absolutely loved it again. I really liked the coffee. I ordered the French toast which was not a huge portion size but it was really good. The chicken sandwich I got was also incredible. My boyfriend absolutely loves the loaded home fry bowl. Our food comes out quickly and the waitresses are always nice

Another terrific meal at That Bar & Table! (We go there weekly but I forget to ever take photos or write it up.) I'm usually a burger, chicken sandwich or tacos kind of guy there, but last night got one of their weekend specials, the pot roast! Wow. The staff is always attentive and gracious, and while inside is nice, we do like the mild evenings that have started for the outside seating. (Also pictured: the fried pickles and grilled cheese strips were great, too.)

The recent ownership change has done nothing but increase my love for this restaurant in our community. Awesome brunch and the patio is so much better! Same Burger special on Wednesday and a nee chicken sandwich special on Monday. My fav: nachos- but NOT served in the bowl/basket. Needs to be on a flat plate. Stacy is our favorite server there. Keep up the good work!

Good. Keep the ratings low, just means more for me. Less time waiting, and you missing out. Ally is the gold lining here. Full of kindness and hospitality. She's an incredible team leader, and a down right make-up artist genius. Besides the gold, there's the food.... Pretty close to that gold. Salads are out of this world, literally can't get enough. Wings are impressive, but let's not bring too much attention to the special yummies. Salmon, yes please! The nachos ... pure scrumptiousness. I could go on and on about the menu and how amazing the chili is and those special tacos. I won't forget the burgers, despite how long this review is getting. But ultimately, don't come here ... They suck. Ohh, also .. gluten free is available

Too much breading for the fish and chips...and the fish needed seasoning.

This is becoming my favorite spot in Gainesville. Great service and spectacular food. Easily the BEST fried chicken sandwich I have ever had (sorry Chick-fil-a). Great French fries. I've also had the burger and the chicken wings. All delicious. My wife tried the fish and chips but the fish had too much breading. But we LOVE the chicken sandwich!!

It is very mellow and more on the well lit side, so if you want a dim lit restaurant, this ain't for you. Service? Impeccable, I forgot the girl who served us, but sis was always on point. Consider your drinks refilled! When it comes to food, understand that the sushi chef takes his time to craft art on your plate. Like seriously, look at the images I share, it's a masterpiece isn't it? So do expect a bit of a wait time but don't you worry, the fish are fresh! So order an appetizer why don't you, to keep ya tummy occupied whilst you wait. My partner and I started off with the seaweed salad and edamame. The edmame is heavy with the garlic, so do keep in mind that your breath will smell like jarlic ok? You have been warned. You could also make the edmame spicy, but that's an extra charge! The seaweed salad? It has a bit of twang to it, so it's lightly sour. No overpowering though like the ones you'd have at a grocery store. Now the star of the dinner my bae and I had... The spicy yellowtail was not that spicy for me, by partner though? He had to take his break hahaha. He got baby taste buds. It is fresh, and for you texture girlies, it is mushy. So, yeah, you may want to opt out on that if you are not a fan of cold mushy food. The big Mac roll? It was so good. All the flavors combined and dances on your tongue. In a good way though loves. In a good way. This one is not so mushy as the spicy yellowtail, you can tast the blend of different textures of the sushi. And they complete one another. The king lobster roll! Boy was this one good. So for you lobster lovers, this is a must have. There's good chunk of the lobster meet in each bite, so do expect a blend of flavors mt seafood lovers. Expect that.

Service was great, our waiter was attentive and I would definitely come back, I would just budget better!

Therefore they will be out of a specific food item in the kitchen line but they have lots of it in the front line. But they will not go from the kitchen to the front line to fill an online order. To start, their "poppers" were absolutely delicious and a fun twist on traditional bread service, especially paired with the incredible blueberry butter. To celebrate, I ordered their Painkiller cocktail, which was smooth, delicious, and hit the spot. I also had the French onion soup, which arrived piping hot with perfectly melted cheese. For our entrées, we ordered the filet, the NY strip, and the rack of lamb, and every dish was excellent. We shared the corn and mashed potatoes, both of which were outstanding. Needless to say this the Metro diner truly surpassed my expectations. We walked in and were greeted immediately and asked if we would like to sit outside which is a covered area or indoors. We chose inside given it being a hot humid day and wanting that extra comfort. The vibe felt amazing with all the smiles and yes even though busy all the wait staff was hopping doing their business! We were seated and told about the specials and given the menu. I was unsure what I wanted because I think I could have eaten a little bit of everything! I did ask the waitress a couple of suggestions and one of them was the pancakes I had chosen. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner all day! How cool is that and rare. They had a chicken and waffle special that was actually half a chicken ( pieces ) fried with Belgium waffles, powdered sugar and sweet strawberry butter served with their signature sweet and spicy sauce. I'll be honest when I had seen someone else get their plate I was surprised. It looked absolutely incredible and well tremendous. On their specials they had banana pudding pancakes or waffles, this also sounded amazing. It had walnuts, butter and powdered sugar and definitely banana. I am most certainly glad that I chose this as it was incredibly. Super fluffy, flavorful and the banana was not overwhelming there was a perfect balance of flavors. There was a sauce on them that I assume was the banana pudding. It was light and just enough to not overpower the pancake itself. We had also ordered croissant French toast and my son absolutely loved them. They were crispy on the outside yet fluffy and flavorful with a fantastic texture topped with some powdered sugar. Some ordered hash browns, these were also delicious and homemade with a great texture and the portion like all the other dishes pretty large. We had all tried the biscuits and gravy. These too were delicious with such a nice balance of flavors. The biscuits indeed homemade. We were all very pleased with everything. Some eggs over easy and bacon cooked perfectly. The coffee honestly the best I've had in years. I'm a coffee drinker and I cannot figure this coffee was outstanding! I had four cups and wish for more ha ha. Best of all I must compliment the service. I have not been to a restaurant of any sort with such attentive service, quality service as we received here in years. The waitress kept refilling my coffee and water, brought my son more soda ( even a container to take his home ) asked everyone if they needed anything at appropriate times and was extremely kind and considerate. I will be back and I highly recommend the Metro Diner for a great meal, quality service and relaxed environment that you will enjoy.
