Did not imagine we'd find such good Thai food close to a national park in Wyoming haha. Gotta say this was a crazy find. The service was so quick and the ambiance is very casual and cute. We have been to Thai Plate many times and they never disappoint us with the food and value for the money. We have tried several items on the menu and all have been amazing. I typically ask for the hottest they can make and add some heat to it and that just makes the meal for me. I would highly recommend this restaurant from the mild to the hottest dish they can make. read more

It's always the best sign when the food is so good that you even forget to take a picture of it!! Thai Plate is absolutely the best Thai food I've had in a while. Despite being right in the heart of Jackson, it's a bit confusing to find as it is in one of the alleys. Their menu has so many different options, and you can customize the level of spiciness from 1 to 5. I got 2 (was hesitant between 2 and 3), and it was pretty spicy!! I don't think I would be able to handle the level up. The portions were HUGE, and everything was delicious! The place is pretty small but there are some seats outside as well. Was pleasantly surprised with the Thai food in Jackson. The place was hopping and had a lot of to go orders as well, but they managed to be friendly and turn out good food in a reasonable amount of time the 2 times I went there. I ordered the chicken panang curry which came with a side of rice and it was enough for 2 people and 2 meals. So good and just the right amount of spicy kick. My friend ordered a beef salad and a tom kha soup. All ingredients were quality, fresh and very tasty. I have been to this place every time visiting Jackson. Around 4-5 times in total and still keep coming back. I guess it is something :) First off, the $10 lunch special is unbeatable in terms of value. You got a main entree plus an egg roll, and the lunch special portion was generous. That was the most striking aspect in my opinion. Rare find in Jackson that everything is certainly expensive. Also, the food opinions on the menu were great. Rice, noodles, soups, salads , apps, and desserts. They got you covered. We went there right when they just opened and saw the line was formed quite fast so be patient is key if you want to dine there esp during CoVID where seating was limited. To go seemed busy too so I guess if you are in a rush...pass. Just give more time cushion to wait. Foods - Chicken satay app was delicious. Fantastically marinated meat and grilled perfectly. Came here after a long day of traveling and stumbled upon this restaurant buried a little off the street. We enjoyed nice outdoor seating and had good service. The food itself wasn't what we expected. We ordered chicken dumplings that didn't have much flavor and tasted pre-packaged and microwaved; the spicy fried rice didn't look fried at all. Pretty good Thai food. We chose this as our first meal out in Jackson as it was a little off the beaten path and most places were overcrowded for our comfort level. We had the egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and red chicken curry (both Level 3). Everything tasted very good, and at first, seemed not too spicy, but by the time we were done, our noses were dripping and lips were on fire. Our pleas for help were like praying to the desert for rain, and the owner/waiter's response literally wins the award for best ignorance. The waiter treated our order like a guessing game -- "Guess whose food will come first?" As it turned out, everyone lost. Our confirmation session was more rigorous than an airplane pre-takeoff check, but apparently it fell on deaf ears with our waiter. As for the 18% tip that was automatically added to the bill, it was a comedic climax. We challenged to reduce the tip, and the owner/waiter turned into a linguist and performed a monologue of "I don't understand English". After going Whitewater Rafting, our tour guides noted how popular Thai food was in Jackson, so my family and I decided to get some after a long day out on the Snake River. We decided on this place based on the reviews and location in town. We were blown away by the dishes! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Tom Yum Soup, Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, and Yellow Curry. I loved all the dishes, but my favorite was definitely the Pineapple Fried Rice. I'm from Los Angeles and I have tried many many different Thai restaurants but this restaurant's Pineapple Fried Rice is the best one I've ever had! Highly highly recommend it. Food was just Ok. Rest rooms had mosquitoes. For such a low ambient restaurant, they place all rules saying 20% gratuity. 20% Gratuity added to parties 4 or more. 3 year Kids not eating anything also counted under 4 ? Avoid this place at any cost. We barely ordered 2 dishes and what makes them add an automatic 20% gratuity ? The food is alright. Just like any typical Thai restaurant. However, the service is horrible. Servers were not at all attentive and they were even dismissive when we tried to get their attention. Yum! My dad loves Thai food, and we had heard this place was good so we checked it out. It is obviously family owned and the small restaurant was cozy and clean. My dad loves hot food and asked for level 5 (out of 5) spice. It wasn't hot enough for him, so they brought out a tray of red pepper flakes, jalapeños, and spicy red sauce (which I used!). The flakes did their job, and my dad said it was so good! The coconut milk in the curry sauce was really delicious, and the sauce itself was so flavorful! Overpriced and underwhelming. If you have to make a stop through Jackson, I'd probably opt for another type of cuisine. It's pretty hard to mess up pad thai in my opinion but it turned out quite mushy and under flavored. Green curry is supposed to be bursting with flavor but it was definitely under seasoned and the chicken in it was very dry. I stopped by with a group of friends for our last supper prior to beginning a 4 day backcountry camping trip. Thai Plate seems to be very popular with tourists. We put our name in and waited 5 min for a table and during that time about 15 people arrived - lucky timing for us! I wanted to try multiple dishes so I convinced one of my friends to split the shrimp pad Thai and Penang salmon. The pad Thai was solid but the Penang salmon was the star. The sauce was incredible and well suited for the fresh salmon and veggies. I really do wish I could order this dish back home. My friends ordered chicken pad Thai but commented that their dishes were a bit saucy. They also ordered the pineapple fried rice and gave rave reviews on that dish. Chef Paul Prudhomme was right when he said, "You don't need a silver fork to eat good food." He could have been talking about Thai Plate in Jackson Hole (JH). It's neither fancy nor pretentious but the flavors of the food are complex, rich and often fiery if you're not careful. The quality of the cooking is high. This tiny hard-to-find gem is one of our favorite places to eat in JH. They have expanded beyond a few seats at a tiny counter bar to half a dozen tables in a drafty and cramped dining room. Bathrooms are accessible only outside of the restaurant. But no one cares about that because they love the food. We've eaten many dishes on the menu but some of our favorites are: Tom Ka Kha Kai, a soup of coconut milk, lemon grass, hot and sour flavors, chicken, mushroom, and kaffir. Level 3 spice was plenty hot and let me know who was boss of this dish. Loved every bite. Green Curry With Chicken was among the best we've tasted. It's soupy but you'll want to eat it with rice to cut the spice. Pad Thai with Beef. This is not your ordinary Pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly-cooked, chewy, caramel-colored bands of deliciousness. A brief fistfight at our table, followed by a vigorous rock-paper-scissors battle was the only way to resolve who got the last spoonfuls. a typical ski trip, we often eat here two or three times because we can't get enough.
