I stopped by Thai Kun while attending an event at the 713 Music Hall. We ordered the crab fried rice and spring rolls and they were so good. Portion sizes were enough to share and they had a ton of options to choose from. This spot in The Post is one of many and I am glad I stopped here. The only downfall was it was very slow service. We waited quite a bit of time to get our order.

Had dinner with my sister and this was our restaurant of choice and they didn't disappoint. We had crab fried rice and mini egg rolls. The wait was long but well worth the wait.

In a market full of food options, Thai Kun is definitely a go-to spot when the Thai cravings hit. I stopped by not expecting much--and I was honestly stunned by how good the chicken wings were. I'm a big chicken wing person, and these were packed with flavor, especially with the tamarind sauce--sweet, tangy, and addictive. The beef panang curry was also solid--rich, comforting, and flavorful. The only thing that didn't really stand out was the fried rice--not bad, just a bit standard compared to everything else. Overall, if you're in the area and want something bold and satisfying, the wings and curry are definitely worth a stop.

Pad Thai with shrimp and Wontons

We took our friend from Brazil to check out The Post HTX . I perused all the food choices and as always Yelp came through with other Yelpers and their foodie pictures. Presentation and quality was everything! Our friend had never had Thai food before so this was a win for all of us. My husband and I were so impressed with how good it was! I have to say that this was the best Thai food I've had in HTX! Yes, better than Thai Spice, Nara Thai, Bangkok Social etc. We don't like the sweet, too saucy Pad Thai so the Pad Thai we had was amazingly perfect. I was expecting mall food court quality but not at all! I got the shrimp Pad Thai and it had jumbo shrimp and a slight shrimp paste flavor to it, which I've never tasted anywhere else. Maybe that's what made it a 10/10! All I know was that the noodles were not overcooked or soggy from the sauce. It was the perfect balance of taste and quality. The shrimps were huge and sautéed just enough where they weren't overcooked. I liked that they put the peanuts and chili flakes on the side too. We also ordered the pork egg rolls and fried wontons. The appetizers were good but not something we'd consider ordering again. I got the combo that included wontons and a drink. The protein were only 2 choices either shrimp or chicken. I was satisfied with the size and amount of the shrimp! We will definitely be back! I just wished there was one near our home!

This place was amazing...located inside Post Market...Thai Kun caught my eye...the menu was simple...and the display items looked very tempting...I ended up ordering some crab fried rice...and some wings...the young lady took my phone number and they texted me when my meal was ready...the food was so fresh and delicious...after eating everything I went upstairs and enjoyed the view...this place had a nice vibe and I'm sure I'll be back real soon

Let's start with service, where is it? Yes I get it is a food hall that doesnt preclude one from providing a service in which one would like to return. The front associate taking our orders appeared to be on the phone both with her ear pod. But she wasn't pleasant or helpful. She definitely gave I don't want to be here.. I ordered the crab fried rice. Um no thank you. It wasn't seasoned very well and too much egg vs actual crab ratio. It came with a side of soy sauce and some pepper sauce that didn't do much. I probably would not visit this place again if I am in the post.

Pad See Ew Chicken and Chive Cakes

Thai Kun is inside POST. I wanted some comfort food without dairy. The chives cakes were amazing. The pad see ew was a bit more oily than I would had liked. I would like more vegetables and the noodles were more broken up into pieces rather than long noodles. But this might be personal preference. It did have a more meaty to noodle ratio. Once you order, you give them your number for a text to pick up your food. After you are done, you throw away your trash and put the tray on the closest shelf tower, usually by a trash can. You do have to pay for parking. Right now, it's electronic so the cameras record your car license in and out and that how it determines how long you stayed there for payment.

I am a huge fan of Thai food and was super excited to try the pad see ewe while at POST. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't as good as I had hoped. It was supposed to come with broccoli, but they forgot to add that on there. They were having some issues with their stove and were fixing it when we went so it was about a 30 minute wait, which is understandable. I personally wouldn't eat at this place again and would prefer to try some of the other restaurants there.

Solid four! Food: the food was quite good at least my dish. I had the panang beef and it was very spicy and different. It was more like beef tips if anything. Extremely spicy with lots of flavor. I do wish I would have asked for the egg well done. The pad Thai was alright. The shrimp didn't taste fresh and they also didn't peel the shrimp. For the prices they are charging they definitely need to peel the shrimp. I would try the pad this again with chicken or beef. Not shrimp. The prices are high. The portions are medium to small and don't reflect the price. Maybe the are paying high rent at the post. I would definitely go back and try more food off their menu. We we're definitely satisfied with our meal. Great date night with my baby.

Undercooked chicken

Found myself at the Post yesterday and was overwhelmed with all the choices in the food court. Walked by this establishment and looked at their signature dishes they had on display. The TK chicken looked delicious and I decided to give it a shot. Now the first thing that threw me off is the dish is priced at $13, but my order somehow was priced at $19. I later realized that this was due to getting it with fried rice rather than jasmine rice. My gripe with this is that the dish is displayed on their counter with fried rice, and unless I completely missed it on their menu, there is no mention of an up charge for fried rice. But if the food was delicious, I would have been fine. However, my chicken came out undercooked. Pics attached to show just how pink it was left. I bit into a piece and knew something was off. Ended up eating the rice and tossed all of the chicken. Again, I was even willing to let this go...... until I got home and my stomach was in knots from what I can only assume was the undercooked chicken. Made for a miserable night. Lesson learned, just a fair warning to others.

Pad see ew with chicken

Browsing around POST and was kinda feeling some Thai food. Kinda expensive for what you get. There was a lot of chicken but not a lot of noodles. Too many green vegetables. This pad see ew was not spicy at all. It was mostly sweet. I do like the sweet chili sauce that they give you. It took so long for the food to come out!! Overall not really impressed. Not authentic. (I didn't see any Asians working).

Wasn't much open when I visited the Post during the holidays so I tried this spot out. SMH Crab Fried Rice wasn't crabbin and the Tamarind Chili Wings weren't winggin.

Authentic taste Thai food in Houston downtown - that's how Will always remember this place. Located inside POST Houston, this is one of those only places that I have tried. But I got to say, even with their limited menu options, they are really making an impact. The small menu helps them keep the speed of preparation. And did I mention they make everything to order? Yes, they prep ahead of time but they start caking your food once you order and pay.

Whenever I am craving comfort food, my go to is pad Thai at Thai kun. They also have fixings at the counter so you can jazz up the flavor.

The crab fried rice is $20 and I don't even believe it's real crab and rice. The whole dish is completely flavorless.

It's really really nicely rebuilt inside this place, when it used to be a church. I do like their rice bowls, but it always comes with 6 bites of rice and 3 bites of protein. Service was quite prompt, since we were part of an event. Lastly, I disagree with their offering of their beer garden as a private event option when this place has 4 fans in each corner of the room, strong indeed, but better be strong because it has no AC. It's Houston, 90+° on average, 6 months of the year. Ugh.

I stumbled across it during a lunch break, and I'm so glad I did. Wokker blends Asian flavors with Southern comfort in a way that feels both creative and comforting. The moment you walk up, the aromas alone pull you in--garlic, spice, smoky char from the wok... all the good things. I ordered the Korean Smoked Brisket Bowl, and honestly, it might be one of the best lunch bowls I've ever had downtown. The brisket was tender with just the right amount of sweet heat, and the veggies had that perfect wok-fired crisp. Their rice is fluffy, the sauce is addictive, and the portion was generous without being overwhelming. I also tried their Brisket Egg-rolls on a friend's recommendation, and wow--spicy, crunchy, and ridiculously good. Perfect for sharing... or not sharing. Service was quick even during the lunch rush, and the staff was friendly despite being busy. The tunnel-level atmosphere isn't anything fancy, but Wokker brings all the personality through its food. Please get served by Christine! If you work downtown or are just exploring Houston's hidden underground maze, Wokker is absolutely worth the detour.

While I was standing there debating on ordering, the employee behind the counter was eating. I figured he'd stop once an order was placed. As I went to order kiosk, I saw him look up toward the front, then put his hand in his mouth to remove food while still in the kitchen/service area. That completely turned me off from ordering so I left. I didn't dare risk if he'd wash his hands because why would you do that to begin with. I understand people working long shifts need to eat, but in an open kitchen environment, presentation and sanitation matter. Unfortunately, that interaction alone was enough for me not to continue with my order.

Being recognized among the 25 best new restaurants in the country certainly caught our attention, and we were curious to discover what made this Houston restaurant so special. We arrived with high expectations, and I can confidently say that the experience did not disappoint. The first thing that stood out wasn't the food, but the people and the atmosphere. From the moment we walked through the door until we left, the hospitality was extraordinary. Our server, Jorge, was wonderful, but what truly impressed us was how that same level of warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness extended to the entire staff. Everyone made us feel genuinely welcome, something that speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to hospitality. The atmosphere complemented the experience perfectly. The restaurant had a lively, welcoming energy, with great music playing at just the right volume, loud enough to enjoy but never interfering with conversation. It's those thoughtful details, combined with exceptional service, that make a dining experience truly memorable. Then came the food, and this is where the experience became even more interesting. We started with the Savory Scallion Waffle with Fried Orange Chicken, and what an incredible combination of flavors! The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a beautifully crispy exterior that reminded me of traditional Southern fried chicken. But what really elevated the dish was the orange sauce. Its sweet and tangy character complemented the savory chicken beautifully, creating a combination that felt both familiar and surprisingly different. The scallion waffle was equally impressive. It had everything a properly prepared waffle should have: a lightly crispy, golden exterior, a soft and tender interior, and plenty of flavor. What made the dish exceptional was the perfect balance between savory and sweet. The richness of the fried chicken, the sweetness and acidity of the orange sauce, and the savory notes of the waffle worked together in complete harmony. Nothing overpowered anything else. Every component complemented the others, making this a truly memorable interpretation of chicken and waffles. Next came the Chilled Noodles, a dish that immediately caught our attention because, unlike the noodle dishes we're accustomed to, these were served cold. It was an interesting change, but one that worked beautifully. The flavors were excellent, delivering everything you would expect from a great noodle dish, with the ginger and scallion adding a wonderful savory character. However, what really stood out to both of us were the pieces of pickled shiitake mushrooms. Their earthy, rich flavor, combined with a subtle tanginess, added an unexpected dimension to the noodles. It's amazing how one ingredient can elevate an entire dish, and in this case, the mushrooms did exactly that. What initially seemed like an unusual choice turned into another pleasant surprise. Of course, no brunch would be complete without a couple of good cocktails, so we ordered a Mimosa and a Bloody Mary. Both were very good, but the Mimosa particularly stood out. It was well prepared, refreshing, and had a generous pour of alcohol. They certainly didn't skimp on the champagne! It had just the right balance of flavor and strength, making it clear that Agnes & Sherman takes its cocktails just as seriously as its food. A great complement to an already excellent brunch. Just when we thought we had experienced all the culinary surprises of the afternoon, dessert arrived. We ordered the Pandan Nice Cream Sundae, and this was probably our most unexpected discovery. Nice cream is a plant-based alternative to traditional ice cream, and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from a vegan frozen dessert. To our surprise, it was incredibly flavorful, wonderfully light, and refreshing. The pandan brought a delicate, distinctive flavor that made the dessert feel different from a traditional ice cream sundae. It was satisfying without feeling heavy or overly rich, making it the perfect way to finish brunch. Definitely a pleasant surprise and something we would happily order again. The restaurant was packed during brunch, so I would strongly recommend making a reservation in advance. Also, be prepared for a little challenge when it comes to parking. There was no valet service available, and finding street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. My advice is to arrive a little early and allow yourself extra time to find a spot. Looking back at our visit, what impressed me most was how everything came together. The extraordinary hospitality made us feel welcome from beginni

Gotta give shoutout to the decor and ambiance. It's super cozy. Probably weird to say but I loved the tiles in the hallway to restroom. So the food. Outside of the novelty the flavors are just ok. It's cool to have these Asian twists to western food but nothing really wowed me. Even tho it's popular I'd say pass on the chicken and waffles. The butter was delicious and the waffle was crispy but I'd rather have a regular scallion pancake. And the orange chicken was like any other. Think I prefer the smaller crispier pieces u get at other places. They do give u good amount of meat tho since it whole thigh. The best thing was the shrimp toast. It's like honey walnut shrimp but with toast. They have a layer of shrimp mousse and the sauce on top of toast. Unique way to serve a classic flavor. The hamburger fried rice was solid. Like a Big Mac but fried rice. My mom said it tasted like Zatarin dirty rice. Not bad but yeah I'd give it another shot to try their brunch menu which looks better and has more options. But first impression is that it's alright. Didn't hate it. Didn't love it. And it's out of my way so I doubt I'd go again.
