Hello everyone! I have been coming to Thai E San for many years now because I live in the Las Colinas (Irving) area. Today, I ordered the Drunken Noodle (with tofu) and Crab Rangoon. This was singlehandedly the best meal I have ever had from Thai E San, which is what prompted me to write this review. This restaurant deserves credit for serving amazing food at such an affordable price. I highly recommend Thai E San to anyone! I came here to get some Thai to go. This was my first time here. The restaurant was small but clean and the workers were very friendly. I ordered at the counter and the food was ready within about 10 minutes. I ordered chicken drunken noodles, Rangoon, and potstickers. The potstickers were great. The Rangoon was a bit cold in the center but the portion size was good. The chicken drunken noodles were also a great portion size. The spice level is more than I'm used to, but I still enjoyed it. We definitely will have leftovers for at least one more meal. This was not my favorite Thai experience, but I would consider getting the drunken noodles again. read more

This is the best Thai food I've had in a while! The food is authentic and delicious. The pad see ew is packed with your protein of choice and they give plenty of veggies too which I love! I got a 2 in spice and the heat definitely builds up so maybe start low your first time here. The Thai tea has a nice strong tea flavor and it's not diluted with too much milk. The staff is super attentive and kind. It seems like a family business so they seem to care a lot about customer service. The restaurant is spacious and plenty of room for groups. First time coming here and I will be coming back for sure! read more

One of my favorite Thai places in Dallas. Consistently delicious food and really friendly service. ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is in a complex of other restaurants and stores. They have a spacious interior with booths and tables that make it easy to have a comfortable conversation. FOOD: I usually order the Drunken Noodles (pictured) but have gotten the Pad Thai and Panang Curry before. Everything is excellent. The dishes are cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The taste of the sauces and seasonings don't overtake the natural taste of the vegetables and other ingredients in the dishes. SERVICE: Really friendly service. The restaurant is family-run and everyone is always serving you with a smile. PRICE/VALUE: Good value, the dishes are large and standard pricing for Thai food in the area. I give this place 5 stars because for lunch the portions are great and everything I've tried has been great, flavor wise. It's a little hole in the wall, mom and pop, but that just makes it much more enticing. My fav dish is the Rad Na which is hard to find a place that makes it well. They also have side condiments like pepper flakes and jalapeños in vinegar so you know it's legit. Downside: it takes forever to get your food I work nearby and this is the only reason I look forward to coming to the office. First timer randomly trying this place. Seems like they get a lot of to go orders while I was dining in. Food overall was pretty good, tried appetizer sampler: egg rolls, crab Rangoon, wonton, dumplings, not too bad. For my meal I got crab fried rice and lunch portion of pad see ew. This has become one of my regular spots to go to when I'm craving Thai food. I've ordered takeout many times during COVID and the experience has always been great! Quick, excellent customer service, fresh food. I was super impressed with a recent visit. I called in my order and never mentioned my nut allergy, but I guess they have some system or record where they make notes. The lady asked "and you're allergic to peanuts right? We'll make sure to sub sauce and salad dressing for you." It took me by surprise. The fact that they remembered this from my last order and took note of it means so much. Really going the extra mile! OMG! Probably the best Tom Yum in the area in my opinion. They are a family-owned business where the mom makes her magic in the kitchen while her children does the service portion. I usually order the Fresh Rolls, the Tom Yum and either the Lad Na or Pad Se Ew. The Fresh rolls always has the crunch that comes from the cucumber and the sourness from the Tom Yum is just perfect. I had been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to sample the cuisine; however, upon my arrival, I was informed that there would be a 30-minute wait for my takeout order. The staff member did not inquire about my specific order. When I inquired whether dining in the restaurant would result in a different wait time, she indicated that it would be the same due to a large order they had recently received. This approach certainly detracts from the customer experience. Maybe I will return but they need to train their staff to be a little more professional I don't. Think my user would have taken 30 min to prepare and if that's the case clearly someone in the kitchen does not know what they are doing. I've been on a pad thai kick the last week or so. I just can't get enough. I had some errands to run in the area and came here last night to meet a friend. I hadn't been to Thai E San since probably before the pandemic and I remembered it was good so I suggested it. I'm sad to say this time it was not good. The fresh rolls had way too much lettuce and very little shrimp, the pad thai at #2 spicy was waaaay too hot that I could only taste the heat, it was very oily. The best pad thai has a good mix with the tamarind sauce and the heat but this was a sloppy spicy mess. Our server was nice but it was like she was in a hurry to get us to leave after she brought our food, I don't like it when they bring the food and two minutes later they drop off the check. I have been on a recent Tom Yum addiction, it is true. If a restaurant offers a veg version, I am wanting to try it. Last weekend, I was feeling lazy and not wanting to set foot in front of the stove. Too hot, anyway, right? I read on their website that they can make any of the soup vegetarian, so I wanted to finally try this restaurant. Located on the side of a large shopping plaza near Kroger, the parking was easy considering it was about 7:30 pm. I called in my order. It rang and rang and finally someone answered. It was very difficult to hear him because it was super loud. So glad we didn't try to dine in after hearing the noise. I confirmed with him our order, two bowls of veg Tom Yum soup with noodles, spicy level. He said it would take 30-45 minutes to fix, which I thought was a little crazy for a to-go order. When I arrived 40 minutes after ordering, our soups were ready. Sans the noodles, unfortunately. He asked to wait for him to make the noodles, but I was already running late and skipped the noodles. My big booty really didn't need the carbs, any way. The employee was very nice and apologized. When I returned home, the soup was still boiling hot, which I absolutely love. The soup was good, but it reminded me more of hot and sour soup than Tom Yum. The spice was just right, with needing to wipe away the sweat from my forehead but not burning a hole in my gut. So yes, it was good and I would order it again, but it didn't have the typical ginger and lemongrass tastes to it. read more

1 star because of poor customer service at pick up on multiple occasions. Food is good. At pick up after paying with Applepay, I asked if silverware was in the bag (the previous time I ordered from here there was absolutely no silverware). The male employee mumbled "probably" then silently handed me a silverware package. I opened the bag in front of him -- no surprise, no silverware. Placed the silverware in my bag and waited for further instruction. He walked away to tend to other restaurant business. Lol literally said nothing to me, no receipt no anything. He eventually saw me still standing there and came back. I asked if there is anything else, he said nope, nothing else. I left with my food. Poor customer service experience. I LOVE THAI FOOD. Like, truly could eat it daily and be so happy (and probably huge). That being said, I am super picky about the Thai food I regularly order. The noodles have to look and taste right, the vegetables can't taste remotely off, etc. Thai E San is the only place I order takeout from on my way home from work because their food is truly so flavorful and fresh. At my old beloved Thai restaurant I used to frequent prior to moving to Las Colinas, they would make their noodles really dark by frying them a bit extra and using a bit more marinade and sauce, which always rocked my world. When calling Thai E San to put in my to-go order, I asked if they would do the same and they laughed and agreed! Our takeout dishes were scrumptious as a result, perfectly dark noodles and crisp veggies. At a great price point compared to many shops in the area, Thai E San is a fantastic shop. read more

I been here a few times and the duck curry and bbq pork fried rice are amazing. I would recommend the dinner portion for the fried rice because the lunch isn't a lot after that first bite. My chicken satay was raw!!! The quality of food here is drastically going down. This used to be my goto spot for Thai.

They have this super extensive Thai menu (all in Thai - I wish they would provide more English translations) with a bunch of I got the Ka pow kai sap (), which as far as I could figure out seems to be basil chicken, and it was delicious and super flavorful! The papaya salad Laos style was quite saucy and a bit funky - I think I'd prefer the Thai style next time? There's a ton of things on their menu I'm still itching try try like their raw shrimp / bittermelon dish, bamboo shoots, and a more! (Mostly from their Thai menu). I only wish they would translate their Thai menu so it was easier for me to figure out what everything is! read more

Ordered a drunken noodles with beef and medium spice to go. I would be interested next time to sit down to have a meal because the place looks super inviting. However, this side of the shopping strip on MacArthur Blvd has some heavy hitters for food. I have to admit I might gravitate towards pho or Japanese fast casual food as I have frequented this area in a past life. Regardless, they give a generous portion. As far as flavor goes, it wasn't the best nor wasn't terrible. I feel as though I'm sitting on a seesaw waiting for something to happen. Great stop for a quick pad Thai! We stopped here and ordered to go and it was ready within 15 minutes. One of my beefs with Thai places is when you order medium and it doesn't have hint of spice or flavor. I ordered a spice level of three and it was just enough to put a little tickle on my tongue! Not only was it flavorful and a super deal, I got two portions out of it, a little went a long way. I would definitely order from here again when I'm in Valley Ranch. read more
