The food is good but hours posted say until 10. I tried calling at 9:20 last night and even trying to place the order online for pick up. I finally decided to walk over and they were already closed and saw the staff leaving. So fast forward to the next day I try calling again and phone says it cannot take calls. I get there to place my order in person. The phone was sitting on the host stand disconnected from the receiver... guess it explains why I couldn't call to place my order. Again, I like the food but really disappointing and unprofessional.

What a great find! We were in Coppell after a sporting event and looking for a place to have a nice lunch on a cold day. We found this delicious ramen restaurant in an up-and-coming shopping and restraurant area of the city. We were impressed with the variety on the menu. There is a great selection of appetizers (we sampled the gyoza) and delicious options for ramen. Each ramen dish is well thought-out and described. I had the "Garnet" with chicken. It was made with a vegetable broth that was deeply seasoned with miso - very flavorful. The combination of veg and toppings (especially the crunchy fried onions) gave it great texture. For dessert, we were excited to try their mochi ice cream. We were having a difficult time deciding so the server suggested one of each flavor (mango and strawberry). Great choice because we loved sampling both!

On a nice day Rakkan has the BEST outside seating area I've been to in DFW; day and night. It overlooks North Lake and has a really nice atmosphere. The ramen was ok... leaning towards the too salty side. It's nothing fancy. We really like the buns though. These were good. Service was attentive.

The ramen was alright. The noodle texture was ok, the chasu pieces were alright, but kind of small, and the eggs were a little cold. The noodles were ok. I got the thick noodles, but I think I would have liked the thin noodles more. I got the spicy version of a soup, but it wasn't too spicy. I think the soup could have had more flavor. The ramen was mediocre. I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. I was hungry since I was attending weebcon and it still was alright.

Not sure why this restaurant has such a decent rating...this had to be the worst tasteless ramen I have ever had. I felt as if I was having watered down soup. The staff lacked in clearing and cleaning the table our visit. The sushi rice would crumble upon trying to pick up the sushi, making it very difficult to eat. In my opinion the best thing on the menu was the French fries. Which is kind of sad.

Solid ramen spot tucked in a nice little plaza with a park and lake out back, which adds a surprising amount of chill to a bowl of ramen. Inside's got good energy, service was friendly. Tried the spicy Quartz ramen and was honestly impressed for a veggie-based broth. Rich, flavorful, and didn't taste like it was missing anything. The spice level was more gentle nudge than spicy slap. The noodles had a nice chew, and the toppings were solid, though I do wish the chashu was a bit thicker. Also had the fried gyoza which were VERY crispy, clearly deep-fried, possibly twice just for good measure. Would I return just for those? Probably not, but I wouldn't be mad about it either. Not the best ramen I've had, but definitely one of the more balanced bowls around, and bonus points for the veggie options and fast turnaround time. Worth a visit if you're in the area or craving something comforting without a ton of grease. Just don't expect to be blown away, and you'll leave happy.

Really good place to come and have ramen! We've visited twice now and have enjoyed both times. Once on Sunday afternoon and another on a Saturday night. Service was ok, I wouldn't say attentive but definitely friendly and accommodating- they just seemed really busy. A good date place as you have plenty of time to talk and enjoy your food. Fried dumplings and octopus balls both are good. I've gotten the spicy quartz ramen twice with garlic and green onion and it's amazing. Husband has gotten the amber which is good as well. Not the most amazing ramen ever but definitely good and worth a try! Enjoy!!

I am a HUGE ramen fan and lover so when I discovered this place had to try it! Haven't had a disappointing experience yet! And I love the fact you can substitute pretty much anything for "Vegan" which is the main thing I struggle with when eating places! It was even so good I brought all my teammates from work back for lunch one day and not a single one of them had a complaint or didn't clean their bowls and leave with full tummies!

I'm so glad I stopped by Rakkan Raman. I asked what was popular and was told it was the spicy garnet. It was flavorful. I gave no apologies for the slurping. It was well worth it.

Found my 2nd go-to Ramen spot in DFW! Lots of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from and very good ambience. Hands-down my favorite Veggie/ Vegan gyozas ever- super flavorful and perfectly crispy- we had to get a 2nd order and would go there just for those any day! The Ramen was yummy too and remember to ask for a side of garlic to put into it, makes it even better. Tip: if you get any additional toppings on the side, they are good for 2 portions so order accordingly. Spicy Cucumber 7/10 Crispy Vegan Gyoza 11/10 Vegan Bun 5/10 (no flavor) Creamy Truffle Vegan Ramen 7/10 (needed soy sauce) Spicy Quartz Vegan w/ Tofu 9/10 (could be spicier)

I was surprised to know that Rakkan Ramen mainly use vegetable broth to make all of the soup, which can serve a variety of customers with dietary restrictions. Although the ramen did not use traditional meat broth, the flavor is really good! We got a couple of appetizers! And I ordered a spicy Quartz ramen for myself. All the food was pretty good and well-flavored! They have the spicy paste on the side too where you can adjust more spice in your ramen. I do wish the chasu can be a bit thicker though. The staff were very helpful and friendly. And I really like the atmosphere of this place! The restaurant is clean and nice. Plus, in the backside, there was a lake where you can take a walk! Overall it was a good experience for me and my friends!

This RAKKAn Ramen is in the Coppell area, situated in a nice plaza with a park & Cypress Waters Trail behind it. We just arrived in Dallas and were looking for a quick-ish and comforting bite to get as our first meal. After a quick Yelp search, we found this spot that was kinda on our way to McKinney (our main destination). A little Northeast of the airport, it wasn't too hard to find and get parking here in the plaza. We came pretty early so it was empty and we were seated pretty quickly. We saw they had the Kyoto Match IPA (one of my favs), so we each ordered one. We lucked out because they were actually some of the last ones they had in stock. My friend and I each got the Pearl Ramen, which has vegetable broth, grilled pork, onion, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, and RAKKAN noodles. We were both in between this and the Amber Ramen but heard the Pearl was lighter, so we opted for that. The food came out at lightning speed, which we both were thankful for, since we were starving after our trip, and the food was pretty good. It isn't the best ramen I've had, but the flavors were there and the noodles were a great consistency. The matcha IPA and ramen were a great combo. There was a lot of seating inside and it would've even been nice to enjoy the meal outside as it wasn't too hot this day. I would've loved if they raised the little "garage" door so we could eat inside but also technically enjoy the weather outdoors. Not sure if they're able to do that but it would've been a nice touch. Overall, a good spot to get your noodle & matcha IPA fix!

The location of this restaurant is great. Parking can get tricky but lots of street parking is available. Evenings and weekends can get busy. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere. Service was fast and efficient. Food arrived within a few minutes of ordering. We ordered a couple of appetizers along with a rice bowl & the spicy quartz ramen bowl. The flavors were average and the spice levels were not up to the mark. Overall, food receives only 3 stars. There are definitely better places for really good ramen. The menu carried beer and soft drinks. Pricing : Moderare high! Will I return? : Maybe.

This time I got the spicy pork ramen (17), spicy garlic chicken ramen (18), and then got the spicy garlic pork ramen (19) togo. I will say it is a little bit salty, with the garlic ones being more salty than the non garlic ones. However the garlic ones do have more flavor. There's not that much meat/protein either just one piece of meat and an egg. The could be slightly better but it's still good. It also just has bamboo shoots but nothing else. A very simple bowl. She also walked around with another table's toddler to keep him busy so that mom could finish her food too. That alone made me want to come back. Our waitress was amazing and recommended the Katsu Curry which is not the original Katsu Curry, but a ramen version. She let me know and said if I like ramen and Katsu Curry then this would be a good choice. It was. The curry ramen broth clung to the noodles and was packed with flavor. I loved that there was potatoes and carrots still, because that's something I love in curry. It's definitely my favorite version of ramen now. We ordered each type of the animal buns. The kids had fun eating and trying them. The bunny/Nutella, and Piggy/pork, were their favorites. They provide a shipping sauce for the savory buns, but we enjoyed them without the sauce. Service, food, and ambiance was all top notch. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The tables have plenty of room between each other and they can do small and large groups. We've added this place to our family favorites.
