Happy to see this place open up as Ramen is one of my favorites and dumplings are loved by the rest of my family. New place so nice and clean. Looks like they will have a liquor license at some point as there is a quaint little bar area in the corner. Portions are pretty big. Soup dumplings here give you 8 which is a perfect two each for our family of four. Flavors are dialed in for the Ramen. I ordered the spicy beef which comes with a giant beef rib. I even ordered a second one for $5 and it was fall-off the bone. They also serve Boba, desserts, rice dishes, coffees, teas and hibachi. Fairly big menu as you can tell. I felt like the wait staff was very nice, but a few things were forgotten. Probably can write that off to being new and will probably fix itself with some experience. The food speaks for itself as I would make a trip down here again to try more of the food. Orange chicken at $13, spicy beef ramen $17 with $5 extra rib, chicken rich $15 so prices all seem to be in line with food prices around here and at this place it is definitely a fair value. The place is nice and I would expect this level of food in a predominantly Asian market like in Carrollton H-mart area, but this place holds its own and is much closer to us in from Flower Mound/Highland Village area. Chanced this chain restaurant, and I was impressed. I know good management and friendliness make a customer want to return, and this was an A on both. I was traveling. The corner spot looked like a better restaurant, so I thought, what the heck I'm going in. So glad I did. The staff were super. The waitress explained the menu, including the gluten free options, and recommended a Raman dish, as this was my first time for Raman. I also ordered a take-out for next day's lunch. She explained the sweet and hot oils. I didn't wait long when a robot strolled out with my bowl, and the waitress placed it on the table. The noodles and beef were good, not salty. The beef was tasty, and although there seemed to be gristle, the meat was fine to eat. (Another employee explained the meat to me. She must have seen my face.) The meal with the flavorful broth was delicious. The dining room is large with booths and tables, and an open kitchen. I would frequent this restaurant if I lived in the area. My husband and I have been looking for a good ramen spot and even though this is a little further away from us, the ramen was so tasty we are down to come back. The drinks are also really nice! We had the thai milk and matcha milk lattes and both tasted amazing. Since they just opened they are still training new staff, so the service was a little slow but still very friendly. Even though we went for ramen, they have such a wide variety to their menu that there is something for everyone. I'm definitely open to trying one of their dumplings next time. Me and my family came here on a whim & it did not disappoint whatsoever! Absolutely delicious! The restaurant is very beautiful, the decor is chic and they have lots of cute statues that make for great ambiance. The staff is soooo friendly, very nice and inviting! The restaurant was clean and felt very new, but I was not a fan of the noodles or the service. Our server repeatedly told us they were short staffed, which I sympathize with but it did not make for an enjoyable experience. We waited a long time for our orders to arrive and when they did, they didn't come out all at once. For one person, their noodles came out long AFTER myself and the other person had finished our own noodle bowls. We thought that their order had been forgotten and had trouble flagging someone down to check on the order. My biggest gripe was with the garlic tonkatsu which was the first thing on the menu. The broth was watery, lacking the normal richness of typical ramen broths. It only had a hint of pork flavor. I did not taste any garlic flavor whatsoever. For a broth that was so lackluster, I don't think it was worth $15.95. I'll stick to my usual ramen spots for next time. read more

King Ramen is THE BEST ramen spot in all of DFW. I've slowly been trying the all and nothing compares the flavor and noodle texture at King. The appetizers are great as well. Rating out of 10: 5.2 Food ordered: Scallion pancake came out after our ramen had been served (we were already halfway done with our bowls). Pancakes came out undercooked and a bit raw because it seems like it was a panic entry after we let the server know our appetizer never came. Sauce that comes with it is not desirable. We ended up using the vinegar that came with our veggie tempura to eat the pancakes. Veggie tempura: Standard tempura with a good vinegar sauce on the side. Comes with sweet potato slices, onions, and two pieces of shrimp Spicy beef ramen: Comes with a giant beef rib that is advertised as a fall off the bone meat (definitely not the case). I would probably come in the midweek while they are not busy to get a better quality beef rib, but I would probably not order it again. The spicy beef broth was not bad, but would not come back to the restaurant just for the broth. The saving grace is that the noodles keep their firmness through the start to finish of the bowl (unlike other places where the noodles turn to mush). Conclusion: I would probably try it again for the dumpling side of the menu, but in regard to the food I had tonight, you can probably find better ramen somewhere else. read more

King Ramen and Dumpling is hands-down my new go-to spot for ramen in Lewisville! I saw that it had finally opened as I was pumping gas across the lot at Costco after work so I went in solo on a Tuesday night. The food? Phenomenal. I ordered the TanTanMen noodles (which is not technically Ramen...it's a Sichuan, China, version of Ramen), and it was pure perfection - rich, flavorful spicy broth, tender noodles with chopped pork, a marinated egg, bok choy, scallions and a chili paste smeared on the bowl so you blend in as much as you desire (i.e. all of it, don't skimp). Loved it and ended up ordering the same thing for takeout the next day on Wednesday! Definitely enjoyed the in-restaurant experience better but they packaged the broth and noodles/toppings separately which was pretty cool. You guys need a better spoon with the utentils for take out though! It was pretty small and narrow, need a wide and deep spoon to fill with broth and noodles for the perfect spoonful in each bite. No room for the dumplings, I'll need to try those on a future visit with work colleagues. The service was fantastic and the staff was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back! read more

The ramen was plentiful that 2 could share unless you are extremely hungry. It could a little more seasoning but good. The dumplings were delicious; enough to share.
