003. Crispy Veggie Spring Rolls (5)

It was my first time in. The staff was rude. One was behind the counter eating, so the other turned around and asked me for the "name on the order". No greeting, no knowledge that I didn't want to dine in. Minimal customer service goes a long way. She did not turn the experience around after I greeted her, no thank you or goodbye. I knew then that I wouldn't be back. I was indeed there for a pickup order. When I got home and tried my food, both were bland so it made my decision to not return so much easier. There was no flavor in either of them. The drunken noodle had a hint of a tangy taste to it, which was not pleasant and that was it. This place needs to retrain on both customer service and culinary skills.

Amazing Food! The green curry was more of a soup consistency than a thick curry which was not a problem at all! Amazing Flavor! Great Spice is a level 2 10/10 (The Portion was extremely generous!) I will be back for my moneys worth everytime. Thank You So Much. Definitely trying the yellow curry next time! The service was out of this world. They were extremely attentive. Making sure me and my girlfriend had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. They had DELICIOUS Iced Thai Tea! 10/10 I accidentally ordered the green curry instead of yellow curry. Therefore , potatoes were not present in the dish so i asked if she could bring me some and she did! Amazing. The crispy spring rolls couldve been a little more crispy. Still very good 9/10 Crab Ragoons were okay! 7/10 Steamed Chicken Dumplings were okay! 7/10 Very clean restaurant. Nice Place. Thank You. Yummy Thai

I apologize for the late review last Sunday we came to Yummy Thai and was not disappointed. The staff greeted us with a warm hello and politely brought water while we decided what to eat. The atmosphere is vibrant open with TV's to watch news or sports. The food was absolutely delicious and nutritious. The portions are enough for two and the spice level is a 3 for me

Sitting on the service road that flushes into 635 from Beltline is a bustling Thai spot. It's in a new strip mall and the lot was relatively full when I pulled up for my takeout order. It took about 18 minutes from order to pickup so they are quick enough. It had probably been sitting and waiting for me. Portion seemed small when I picked up; but that was dispelled once I sat down at my desk. Chicken Pad Thai was my order and it was steaming hot when I opened it up. Complete with lemon and ground nuts. Flavor was just ok for me; they have the disadvantage of me comparing them to Ocha(The Colony) and Thai Thumbz(Richardson) who make exceptional Thai food. Place was full so the food must be good as there are plenty of options between Denton Tap, Beltline and MacArthur and everything in between. Price was a fair for what was a double portion. Would I give it another try, yes. My first option no.

Had been wanted to try this place since my last visit to area. So glad I did, the food was delicious and tasted so fresh. Casual restaurant, had wonderful service . The prices were reasonable for the portion size received in my opinion. Ordered the beef pad Thai , was one of the best I've had in some time . Ordered a small/side of The Thai fried rice with beef was also great, large portion great flavor . Tom yum soup spicy was huge , flavorful, spicy and plentiful . Also had the crab Rangoon as appetizer came with 6 small wonton and a tasty sauce which I also used on my rice . Took home the mango sticky rice for dessert and was so glad I did . Almost didn't order it to go as I was full but knew I'd regret if I didn't try . Definitely would return !

I love this place! I eat here 3x a week. I get the beef pho and it's amazing. It's hard to find good pho so that's a plus. Although the lady who answers the phone here can be a little rude, she always gives me the extra siracha i ask for. It's a nice quiet place for lunch.

It was an easy ordering experience and the staff was very nice. The appetizers were fresh (I could do without the lettuce for the decoration since it was brown in spots). The rolls were flavorful and the peanut sauce was thick but added a nice flavor and the wraps were fresh but not seasoned so the sauce added what was needed. The pad Thai noodles were cooked very well, just missing the spice. I will definitely return to try more items.

Food was absolutely top tier. We had to stop ourselves from eating before we got too full. Our server was also very attentive. Very nice inside with very big booths. We'll be back for sure, some of the best pad thai we've ever had and we eat a lot of pad thai. Creamy tom yum was also very delicious.

Food is always tasty & made to order. The portions are large, so if you come in a small group that does not mind sharing, you can get to sample more than one dish. The service was cool. You're directed to seat anywhere you please. Our server was very amazing and made sure to provide everything that we requested or needed it was greatly appreciated. Overall this is a nice restaurant to have some lunch with significant other or a few fam & friends.

Stir fried vegetables w/ shrimp

Restaurant is more of a fast food type place. Cooked to order but not authentic. Spring rolls were not crunchy and tasted like they were bought from Sam's or somewhere. There was a $2 up charge for the 5 small shrimp in the Veggie stir fry. Not what I was hoping for. Level 4 spice was the best thing.

Stopped here out of convenience but man... this food was GOOD! I love Thai food and have tried restaurants all over DFW and this is one of my new favorites!! EVERYTHING was delicious, hot, and served quickly. Portions are huge, my husband and I both took full meals home. The spring rolls came out hot, fresh and crispy, and the red curry spice level 3 was absolutely perfect! The service was great.

Seafood In Coconut Shell

Alright, so this place was just an unexpected hidden gem that we stumbled across and i loved everything here! First of all, the people are so nice! they are always smiling and helpful. And now the food - everything we tried were perfect! We started with the Vietnamese Spring Rolls which were really delicious. The peanut sauce was sooooo good! Then we moved to Seafood In Coconut Shell which was magnificent! All the seafood was cooked to perfection and then the sauce was perfection - add that everything is cooked in a coconut which i loved. Finally, the dessert was Black Rice With Mango and man that was the perfect way to end the meal. It was perfectly balanced and sweet. Just the perfect way to balance out the curry! Will definitely be back here whenever i visit again!

Overall...the food was decent, but the takeout order preparation was not ideal. I ordered the long live noodles which are advertised as having baby corn in them, I, a lover of baby corn, asked them for extra baby corn. Opened my meal - NO BABY CORN, at all...not even the amount that was supposed to be included in the dish :( it was extremely disappointing considering I specifically asked. I thought perhaps the man taking my order didn't hear me and thought I said no baby corn, but I checked the order ticket and it specifically states to add baby corn. The noodles were decent, however the fried rice was disappointing...no vegetables in the rice at all and very little flavor. The spring rolls were pretty good. Order was ready quickly and was a reasonable price, but was very disappointed with the preparation.

Since we were craving ramen, we stumbled upon Rakkan Ramen, and I'm glad we did! The restaurant is located in a very swanky and beautiful area. The inside is elegant, well organized, spotless, and so clean you almost feel guilty leaving footprints. As luck would have it, we accidentally entered through the rear entrance and confidently walked right up to the counter as if we knew exactly what we were doing. We were warmly greeted by Ms. Emily and Ms. Jaime, who were both serving as hostess and waitress. Emily escorted us to a comfortable booth and quickly brought us glasses of water, making us feel right at home. We started with the five-piece Chicken Karaage served with arugula and a slice of lemon for $9.50. The chicken was wonderfully crispy, which I really enjoyed. I squeezed that lemon over every piece, hoping for a little extra magic. While the texture was excellent, I thought the chicken itself could have used a bit more seasoning. For our main course, my daughter ordered the Quartz Ramen with chicken and a boiled egg. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, with fresh vegetables that made every bite enjoyable. I ordered the Garnet Ramen, which was just as delicious, with flavorful broth, chicken, vegetables, and a boiled egg. Both bowls were $17, and while they were absolutely tasty, I couldn't help but wish they had been a little more generous with the noodles. I guess they wanted to leave us wanting more! Overall, this place is truly awesome, and you can bet I'll be back--even if I have to go by myself! One little heads-up: finding a parking spot might test your patience, but the walk gives you a chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, so it's not a bad trade-off. I hope to see you there!

I got the Sushi Flight that has smoked salmon, salmon, scallop and shrimp and it was amazing! My family ordered their ramen and said it tasted pretty well. The only con was that the server didn't set down any of our food. She would hand it to us as if it was our duty to place it down even when she had the space. Holding really hot bowls and passing it down to my family members where there were much space to put the bowls and plates down in front of us made me upset knowing I was with older adults whom cannot take the steaming ramen bowls.

It was the epitome of small but mighty, serving up classic high quality Korean dishes in what felt like a pocha style establishment with excellent service. Now that word has gotten out, there are numerous visitors from all over and they've made some slight adjustments that have taken it a notch down for me and others. This includes the hiking of prices (#1) and the introduction of non-Korean staff to appease many non-Korean patrons. The latter has had more mishaps than the previous wait staff, but the mistakes are quickly remedied with swift adjustments. They even updated their awning with a much bolder "금수저" (golden spoon) awning. Food wise, it also feels like there has been a change as well. The soondubu went up a solid $3 and the mandoo fillings have been skimpy as of late. I also feel the banchan has been more limited than the past with only a handful of dishes than the variety from before. I also wish they kept their old late night hours before as well, but that's only reserved for Friday and Saturday. I still think Gold Spoon is worth a visit, but I do long for the version from before and hope they can revert back to how they earned their accoladed in the first place. ___________ (#1) Foodflation back at it again
