My husband recently went here with some friends and couldn't stop raving about the food, so he brought the family to try it out. After our visit, I think we have mixed feelings about the place. It seems to be an Indian-owned chain that mainly serves Thai food, with a few non-Thai Asian dishes on the menu. The staff was very friendly, and the restaurant was spotless, which I really appreciated. However, for me, the flavors fell a little flat, it just seemed a bit bland. It was my first time in. The staff was rude. One was behind the counter eating, so the other turned around and asked me for the "name on the order". No greeting, no knowledge that I didn't want to dine in. Minimal customer service goes a long way. She did not turn the experience around after I greeted her, no thank you or goodbye. I knew then that I wouldn't be back. I was indeed there for a pickup order. When I got home and tried my food, both were bland so it made my decision to not return so much easier. There was no flavor in either of them. The drunken noodle had a hint of a tangy taste to it, which was not pleasant and that was it. What can I say? The Omelet Pad Thai was amazing!! I happen to be staying at the hotel next door and there weren't many nearby dining options but this place did not disappoint. The prices were reasonable for the portion size received in my opinion. Ordered the beef pad Thai , was one of the best I've had in some time . Sitting on the service road that flushes into 635 from Beltline is a bustling Thai spot. It's in a new strip mall and the lot was relatively full when I pulled up for my takeout order. It took about 18 minutes from order to pickup so they are quick enough. It had probably been sitting and waiting for me. Portion seemed small when I picked up; but that was dispelled once I sat down at my desk. Chicken Pad Thai was my order and it was steaming hot when I opened it up. Complete with lemon and ground nuts. Flavor was just ok for me; they have the disadvantage of me comparing them to Ocha(The Colony) and Thai Thumbz(Richardson) who make exceptional Thai food. If you're into big portions, delicious food, and great prices, this place is perfect! I was in Dallas for a work trip and we came here for da casual dinner. We tried the crab Rangoon, summer rolls, spring rolls, egg drop soup, and seaweed salad for appetizers. All of which were delicious aside from the egg drop soup which came out cold. For dinner, I got the clay pot with chicken, a side of soft tofu rice, and mango sticky rice for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious and absolutely HUGE! I ate and ate and could hardly make a dent. The clay pot alone could have been split between 3 people. Definitely shareable portions! Overall, this place was a great dinner choice. It was an easy ordering experience and the staff was very nice. The appetizers were fresh (I could do without the lettuce for the decoration since it was brown in spots). The rolls were flavorful and the peanut sauce was thick but added a nice flavor and the wraps were fresh but not seasoned so the sauce added what was needed. Alright, so this place was just an unexpected hidden gem that we stumbled across and i loved everything here! First of all, the people are so nice! they are always smiling and helpful. And now the food - everything we tried were perfect! We started with the Vietnamese Spring Rolls which were really delicious. The peanut sauce was sooooo good! I ordered the long live noodles which are advertised as having baby corn in them, I, a lover of baby corn, asked them for extra baby corn. Opened my meal - NO BABY CORN, at all...not even the amount that was supposed to be included in the dish :( it was extremely disappointing considering I specifically asked. I thought perhaps the man taking my order didn't hear me and thought I said no baby corn, but I checked the order ticket and it specifically states to add baby corn. It's not cited anywhere on the website, or at least the citation is not easily found. However, I do think the restaurant has decently priced lunch specials, and due to convenience, whenever I visit Panera Bread next door, I sometimes order the Mussaman Curry or Pad Thai for lunch at Yummy Thai. The restaurant is still fairly new. The bar is not open yet and the menu has some limited items. The Pad Thai was pretty good however beware of the intensity of the spice levels. I got a 2, which normally at other Thai places isn't that spicy; however their version of level 2 is pretty dang spicy! Overall, good food! Just be cautious when choosing from the different levels. There are certainly better Thai restaurants than this. Despite that, they get at least 3 stars because the portions are huge and can last you no less than 2 meals. I got the pineapple veggie fried rice and the crispy veggie spring rolls. The rice was good and had decent flavor, but it was still lacking. The crispy veggie spring rolls were disappointing and just did not taste flavorful. However, the food is fresh and that is always appreciated. If I could leave a "0" I would!! I didn't even try the food... I was never served or asked if I needed help. I walked in went to the front and tried to place an order for here. The gentleman instructed me to have a seat. I sat down for all of 33 min and no one came to ask if I needed anything or if I was ready to place an order. It's not like they don't have enough staff because they do. They just have one older lady doing all of the waitress work. The two in the kitchen were working hard and the other three stayed behind the counter. So yes, there was a total of six staff members.
